Finally he lifts his chin, gaze drinking in the younger man unashamed. He's a sight for sore eyes. He's missed the blood, the screams but nothing compared to how he missed him. He reaches out, quick and determined, his fingers hooking into the belt loops of his jeans and he tugs him forcefully into his lap.

"Oh? Makin' bleed just ain't doin' it for you unless I'm with you?"

A small whine leaves the boy: he's downright pathetic with how needy he is for Billy. It's how he's always been, of course, and it wasn't necessarily something he had ever tried to hide. "More than you know." Saem murmurs, frown tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"You were gone for so long...it was so boring here without you."

"Always miss the stars when we come home, ya know."

It's more wistful than he's sounded in months, emotions returning to the young soldier who hated the life he had chosen for himself. He's not the boot he was but he wasn't the hardened Marine he'd one day become. He's somewhere in the middle now, straddling a knives edge, it's not a place he likes being but for now it's all he knows.

"Shouldn't you be goin' home?" It's a quiet question not wanting to rock the boat but unsure why Frank's stuck around. He'd miss him. More than the stars glittering over endless sand. But it's all part of this new life Castle had saddled himself with.
