One skill I’ve studied and studied, but never feel comfortable with: Eros in art through higher conceptualization. It’d probably be easier if I was gay, because the risk of merely objectifying a body of the same sex (when what I should be doing is highlighting the value of a moment’s context, and then sharing it), would not carry much of a penalty. … except, I guess, building a fanbase of hollow minded porn-fiends.
Last thing I want to do is give the women in my life an ‘ick-factor’ through my art. So I’m overly cautious. I’ve already crossed a line with some by drawing female figures that suggest I’m after impossible beauty standards. That’s another write-up for later.
I’m just a fan of anyone who can raise up what society teaches too many is a baser act.

Now THAT is a sculpture that conveys feelings. Not feeling you want or can stop, either.

Still sketching. Cleared a major freelance design project and now I find myself with something my art needs but I haven’t had in a while: time.

Color experiments. These involve buying paper I've never tried printing on before. It could be a disaster, but I already feel like the original concept for the drawing has turned into a disaster — so now I'm free to do whatever the fuck my instincts tell me to do.

We’ve seen movies about AI that went horribly wrong because the military used it, or a person with no functional social/moral skills invented it, or because people backed it into a paradox … capitalists trying to write AI for the purpose of monetizing it is all of that rolled into one. Scrap this path we’re on. And for fucks sake, stop thinking the only artificial intelligence we should create is one that thinks/processes like a human, just faster. We’ve already been thinking like humans this whole time to our detriment. Let AI evolve us.

An old favorite of mine. I can see their entire body of their work being printed through Intaglio process, and it would be wonderful.
day one of drawing something while sick everyday (if I survive) quality might drastically lower

The professional side; where a lot of the creative energy goes instead of the personal art...
My posters and such don't pay the bills, yet. Even the art events business is mainly for helping other artists get a foothold in real-world shows and sales; so we keep the fees low and earn very little at the end of the year. (Last we ran the numbers, we're earning $3.55 an hour). And so, plenty of my creative energy is hidden behind an NDA as a graphic designer.
Yet, my employers are happy to have me share this one - some choice portions of our holiday calendar. While some of my time of image creation was spared thanks to the magic of mixing up various clip-art, the majority of the puzzles were made by me. These images are probably the more relatable; mazes and those 'spot the differences' puzzles. I had fun, but stressed myself out a bit. There's a good chance I might be allowed to revamp these into some personal art.

…events like this are YEARLY. Which means, after the event, I try to think of what to do next year. With less than a few months before my colleagues put this show on again - I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!
Ink and paper purchased, films printed, screens cleaned, and the Neon Nightmares art event is official. Jumping into the fun-fun world of black-light poster printing.

Here’s to all the “clever” people out there that somehow think it’s a mark of intelligence to be able to betray trust. It’s not clever, it’s short sighted; it’s poisonous to humanity.

More old art. ...still looking for the (legal-ish) substance that will give me willpower to draw and ink over the winter. Spirit is so lacking.
