Why is the racialized treatment of a character (in which another character believes he is entitled to ownership of not just her body but her mind and soul, who makes her "better" and more "worthy" by giving her [forcing on her] HIS higher status and changing her appearance to make her more palatable and better suited to him) not impactful at all or less impactful than if you splashed a fresh coat of paint over all that pesky race stuff with transness or disability? 🎤 SPEAK.

Followup question: How did we miss the entire, painfully obvious, incredibly on the nose, relatively poorly done race allegory that is both common to the genre and is explicitly labeled a caste system within the work?
