My favourite thing about Rolan Beegeethree is that act 1 sets him up to maybe be a big of a cocky fool - his faith in Lorroakan, his kind of rubbish attempt at some illusions at the party. Everything sets him up to be a little bit of an over confident loser.

But then it turns out he is specifically an Evocation wizard, and an insanely talented one at that who already has authored his own versions of spells even as just an apprentice! And once you have him in his position at the tower, he is generous and kind and genuinely wants to share the hoarded knowledge with people.

He just needed the chance to prove himself, and once he does? He’s happy, flourishing, and making the world a better place.

Genuinely, do yall just not have imagination?? Or not understand figurative language??? Also eyes do literally darken and soften have you not lived a life??? How do you read with no imagination? Is this how you get through so many books in one month - you simply don’t take the time the understand the words as they are read?
