Your blog was hacked: what to do?

If you see weird pics of ladies with dubious links posted on your blog out of the blue, here’s a step by step way of stopping this and preventing it from happening again that I think might work.

Important : this only works if you can still access your blog!

Changing your password is important, but it won’t do you any good if your hacker still has an opened session on your blog and can still access it. So the first thing you wanna do is close your hacker’s session.

For that you need to go in your blog’s settings:

On the new page opened, scroll all the way down. There, you can see something called “Active Sessions“. The first and oldest one (”current session” in green) should be yours, the new one should be the hacker’s session. To close your hacker’s session, click the gray X next to it.

Now that their session is closed, they can’t access your blog anymore unless they enter the password again.

So don’t lose time, go all the way back up and change your password immediately. Make also sure your hacker didn’t change your email address.

Now you should be safe from your hacker. But it won’t prevent you from getting hacked again.

If you really want to be safe from hackers, you should turn on the “Two-factor authentification” option (on the same page).

It requires you to enter your phone number, which is a bummer. But if it’s turned on, everytime you wanna log on (so not if your session is already opened, but only if you log off and try to log on again), it will send a code on your phone that you’ll have to enter (in addition to having a password).

That way if someone tries to hack you again, even if they get your password right, they won’t be able to enter your blog without having that code.

There it is. I hope it will help some of you, since I see more and more people noticing blogs being hacked

Shoutout to the Apollo children who write the most heart wrenching poems. Shoutout to the Apollo children who bless us all with the most beautiful music. Shoutout it the Apollo children who look out for us all, who are doctors or healers and saved so many lifes. Shoutout to the Apollo children who excell at archery.

But, most importantly: Shoutout to the Apollo children who don't fit in stereotypes. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have the blood of their friends on their hands, who desperately tried to heal those they loved the most but came too late and now they can't help but feel like they're not good enough. Shoutout to the Apollo children that have been hurt far too much and distance themself from everyone. Shoutout to the Apollo children who desperately need to write to deal with their emotions, who have no other outlet because they've never learned how to talk about their own feelings. Shoutout to the Apollo children who can't for the live of them sing or play any instrument. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have no idea how to write stories or poems or anything. Shoutout to the Apollo children who can't or won't heal, but defend everyone, who fight with such passion even some Ares children won't ever have. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have been hurt so much in battle and who have seen what weapons can do that they laid down their weapons and swore to never pick them up again. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have suffer from mental illnesses. Shoutout to Apollo children who have been through the meanest treatments before they reached camp but nobody believes because they are so bright and cheerful and happy. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have to hide their hurt to not worry their patients.

Shoutout to the Apollo children who fell in battle. Shoutout to the Apollo children who have their lives to save others. Shoutout to all the Apollo children that have left us. Shoutout to all the Apollo children who are still with us.

Because you, all of you, matter and you're all valid. No matter what you've gone through, you're not alone. You have a very big family that will support you. I feel like sometimes people forget how important you are.

So this is a shoutout to all the children of Apollo who have ever lived, to all the wonders they have accomplished. This is a shoutout to all the Apollo children because without them, we'd have a very hard, dark time. Shoutout to all my siblings because I need to remind you that you've got a whole family right behind you.
