So I watched around half of Kamen Rider Geats and I'm gonna drop it. I've thought about it and after Ex-aid and Ryusoulger, I don't want to hate watch anymore shows. If I'm disappointed and not into, I'm not gonna watch it anymore.

Forgot to mention that the Maskman suits are some of the best 80's sentai suits right after Bioman. You could make a show today with those suits and they wouldn't feel out of date. And galaxy robo is one of the worst mech designs Like

Hikari Sentai Maskman Review

Been over a week since I finished Maskman. I've let myself think this show over some and I can safely say... it's a sentai. By that, I mean, if I were to give someone an example of what Sentai show encompasses everything that sentai it, I'd show them Maskman. It's one of the most, basic, by-the-books, sentai I've watched yet. What I Liked: Igam was by far the best part of the show. Without going into spoilers, I had a little bit of connection with them. I liked Takeru/RedMask. I think he was a fine Red Ranger. I also liked that he wasn't always a goody-too-shoes, so that's a nice change of pace. Akira also got the most out of all the rangers. There's a bait and switch they do with him towards the end of the show that I really liked. The couple of focus episodes Momoko got were pretty great. The one with the flower she had and the one where she fights unmorphed are some of the best episodes in this show. Also the episode where Momoko and Haruka become gangsters was awesome What I Disliked The biggest problem with this show is it's theming and motifs. The science and magic aspects, the rangers and their Aura power, do not mesh at all and clash horribly with one another. The show tries its damnedest to make them feel unified but it never achieves this. It should have either been science based like the previous sentai or magic based that a lot of other sentai after this do a lot better. Apparently the rangers are part of a racing team, with Taekru as the driver and the four others are his pit stop crew. You'd forget about that after episode 8 if it wasn't for the opening and ending. The whole Takeru/Mio plot didn't click with me. Kenta, Momoko and Haruka don't get a whole with Haruka getting the least. They tried to make Kenta a kind of ladies man, but they dropped that half way thru the show. He does get a really good episode with his friend and the racing stuff returns for a moment and I like that he's the second in command after Takeru when he's not there, but not much else outside of that. Same with Momoko. Outside her focus episodes, she doesn't get a lot. Haruka is the weakest ranger. Not in terms of strength but she gets almost nothing compared. Her focus episodes are not all that great. She's a ninja and that's it. The commander is...there. And that's all I have to say about him! Though I did rag on this show some, I still quite enjoyed it. Very basic, turn your brain off type sentai and for that it goes in C tier

Can I ask you one question? Why do you think Ryusoulger is bad or trash as you put it like that.

Honestly, I've gone back and forth between if I find Ryusoulger really disappointing or if it was that bad. When it first came out I was hyped for it and evne now there were things I did enjoy! I loved the rangers dynamic. I really felt like they were a team and I enjoyed their antics. Wyzel and Kerron were always fun. Tyramigo I will defend till the end. Without going into too much and this becoming a rant, the story was...nearly non existent. The whole thing with Gaisorg and Nada sucked. His death had no emotional impact on me and could care less about him. He literally died to become Koh's power up... The whole last 3rd of the show just falls apart and it ends with the one of the most disappointing endings I've seen in a sentai yet.

If this is yours or anyone else favorite sentai, more power to you, but it didn't work for me.

Finished Maskman. Initial thoughts is I genuinely enjoyed my time with. I really liked Igam a lot and I personally think they're the best part of the show. I'll have a full review out soon!

Choushinsei Flashman Review

Flashman is an odd show for me. I have so many feelings coming out of it from both good and bad. The first 20 episodes or so are pretty good. I loved the premise of the rangers coming to earth in hopes of finding their parents, Dr. Tokimura and his family interactions with the rangers was always heart warming and great, Cowler's intro, Flash King destroyed and the intro to Titan Boy. It was all great...and then it just spins it's wheels for the next 25 episodes, not really doing anything. Yeah there was the part where the Flashman begin loosing their powers, but I personally didn't think it was handled very well. Bo Gardan came in WAY too late and should have been introduced like 25 episodes ago. I know Sentai has a lot of filler where not much happens but usually in other sentai shows I dont mind it. Here, all that time could have been spent looking for their families instead of the kid of the week. And yet...Flashman has one of the best endings to a sentai I've seen so far! It's both a great twist and genuinely bitter sweet. Overall, while very flawed, I still had some enjoyment and genuine emotional moments out of this show.

Nearing the end of Flashman (got about 5 more episodes to go) and I think I can safely say this show wasn't for me. Maybe the last 5 episodes will change my mind, but yeah haven't been feeling this one. Wont go into my full thoughts few days after I'm finished but I think if this show were 25-30 episodes instead of 50 it would have been much better
