always  having  to  have  the  last  word.  “i’m  with  stupid”  t  -  shirt.  chewing  gum  to  distract  themself from  lashing  out.  rolling  eyes.  clenched  jaw.  pointing  fingers.  a  locked  twitter  account.  speaks  fluently  in  sarcasm.  blowing  bubble  gum  with  the  means  to  annoy.

BACKGROUND.

kid,  you  got  a  motor  mouth,  that’s  for  damn  sure.  your  mama  always  told  you  your  mouth  was  your  worst  enemy,  but  you’d  just  flash  your  pearly  whites  and  tell  her  you  guys  got  along  just  great.  you  were  never  the  teacher’s  favorite,  you  scoffed  at  all  the  teacher’s  pets  with  their  need  for  acceptance  and  their  lack  of  personality  while  you  were  sent  off  to  the  principal’s  office  for  another  class  disruption.  you’ve  always  spoken  your  mind,  always  gone  with  your  impulses,  and  now  you  don’t  know  if  it’s  going  to  cause  you  to  sink  or  swim.

CONNECTIONS.

the  insurgent  -  to  put  it  simply,  you  two  hooked  up  once.  it  was  at  a  dumb  party,  you  woke  up  first  head  throbbing  something  awful,  seen  them  laying  next  to  you  in  someone’s  fancy  smancy  bedroom,  (  if  you  were  to  guess,  someone’s  parents  )  and  scrambled  away  before  you  could  talk  about  it.  you’re  not  even  sure  if  they  remember,  you  two  haven’t  talked  since. the  prosperous  -  clare  was  okay  in  your  book.  nothing  special.  in  fact  she  did  so  little,  you  never  really  found  yourself  getting  upset  with  her,  whether  that’s  a  good  thing  or  a  bad  one  is  a  mystery.  but  still,  you  somewhat  played  nice  when  it  came  to  her  because,  well,  the  girl  came  from  money,  and  you’re  impulsive  but  you’re  not  stupid.  you  know  when  to  retract  the  claws  when  the  time  calls  for  it. the  runaway  -  why  do  you  mess  with  them  ?  easy.  they  give  you  the  best  reaction.  sure  you  mess  with  everyone,  (  you  literally  could  write  a  book  about  the  people  at  this  damn  school  and  they’re  stupid  drama  )  but  you  get  a  definite  thrill  out  of  messing  with  them,  and  it’s  definitely  personal.  and  it’s  not  a  secret  that  you  two  despise  each  other,  but  sometimes  you  find  yourself  intentionally  running  into  them  around  the  campus  just  for  the  hell  of  it.

what’s a degrassi rp?

hi,  love  !  a  ‘degrassi  rp’  just  means  we’re  a  fandom  rp  that  is  based  on  the  show  degrassi.  so  the  difference  between  a  regular  rp  and  a  degrassi  rp  (  or  at  least  this  group  )  is  that  we’re  pretty  resolute  in  keeping  the  cast  as  the  faceclaims,  whereas  other  skeleton  groups  usually  allow  completely  original  characters  or  allow  the  applicants  to  pick  from  a  handful  of  suitable  faceclaims.  because  this  group  doesn’t  follow  any  canon  storylines  &  the  skeletons  are  technically  their  own  characters,  we  believe  applicants  that  aren’t  entirely  familiar  with  the  show  would  still  be  able  to  apply  here  !  if  you  have  any  questions,  please  send  us  a  direct  message  so  that  we  can  make  sure  they’re  correctly  answered  !

so do the characters have the same backstory they would on degrassi? if that makes sense?

it’s  up  to  you  !  this  group  is  au,  which  basically  means  that  we’re  not  based  on  canon  elements,  so  technically  they  wouldn’t,  to  answer  your  question  straight  forward.  but  you  have  the  choice  to  keep  tidbits  about  your  character  or  fully  scrap  them  &  entirely  make  them  a  new  person,  so  long  as  it  blends  with  the  skeleton  label  you’re  applying  for.  hope  that  makes  sense,  great  question  !

update  :  for  example,  becky  baker  could  work  for  the  halcyon,  but  her  personality  would  have  to  be  tweaked  to  fit  !

hi! dumb question probably but will you wait to accept apps until all skeletons are posted? i wanted to wait and read them all before i decide who to apply for. :)

of  course  !  we’re  not  setting  an  acceptance  date  until  all  of  the  skeletons  are  posted,  &  the  majority  have  apps,  don’t  worry  bubs,  there  won’t  be  any  early  acceptances  !  we  just  released  the  application  in  case  anyone  connected  with  a  skeleton  &  wanted  to  get  an  early  start  !

BACKGROUND.

you’ve  never  known  humble.  there  are  fires  behind  your  eyes.  you  were  never  one  to  sit  pretty,  your  mother  always  finding  it  ridiculously  hard  to  sit  you  down  to  even  brush  your  hair.   you  were  far  more  interested  in  going  outside,  often  coming  home  with  tangled  hair  and  scraped  knees,  mud  splattered  on  the  back  of  your  pant  legs.  your  mother  never  understood  you,  but  it  never  hindered  you.  you  don’t  have  a  sad  backstory.  you’re  the  girl  that  screams  danger  and  excitement,  and  you  don’t  have  any  regrets.

CONNECTIONS.

the  prosperous  -  she  made  you  laugh.  you  understood  why,  though.  clare  came  from  prim  and  proper,  she  couldn’t  fathom  where  you  blew  in  with  your  foul  mouth  and  your  lack  of  commitment,  and  your  horrible  table  manners.  you  enjoyed  the  way  she  went  all  red  cheeked  around  you,  fumbled  with  her  words,  it  pulled  you  in  and  every  chance  you  got,  you’d  toy  around  with  her. the  insurgent  -  as  cliche  as  it  sounds,  you  two  are  partners  in  crime.  you  two  meet  at  the  diner  every  thursday  night  at  7:45  no  matter  what  plans  you  had  that  day.  it’s  tradition,  and  neither  of  you  are  keen  on  letting  the  other  down.  party  coming  up  ?  you’re  each  other’s  wingman,  talking  each  other  up  with  slurred  words  and  glazed  eyes. the  syrupy  -  you’re  sweet  on  them.  but  who  wouldn’t  be  ?  with  their  big  round  eyes  and  naive  little  way  of  thinking.  it’s  not  love  letter  worthy,  but  you  can’t  seem  to  stop  pinching  their  cheeks,  and  calling  them  “shorty”,  and  walking  them  around  campus  between  classes.

hey  boos,  i’m  gonna  start  working  on  our  next  batch  of  skeletons,  but  i  just  want  to  clarify  a  few  things  in  case  anyone  was  confused  :  all  of  the  skeletons’  little  headcanons  on  the  graphics  are  told  through  clare’s  past  point  of  view  !  i  also  threw  in  a  little  comment  about  the  dirtbag  having  an  older  sister  in  the  runaway’s  graphic,  so  i  just  want  to  throw  in  that  i  highly  suggest  taking  peeks  at  your  desired  skeleton’s  connections  once  they’re  all  posted  for  any  hidden  easter  eggs  !

BACKGROUND.

you’ve  always  felt  like  something  was  wrong  with  you,  you  were  never  satisfied,  never  felt  like  you  fit  in  quite  right.  a  puzzle  piece  that  was  bent  and  twisted  in  various  ways  to  co  -  exist  with  the  other  pieces  to  make  the  perfect  picture.  but  there  was  no  one  else  like  you,  no  one  who  could  quite  understand  you  the  way  you  wanted  them  to.  you  never  fit  in  the  box,  so  you  did  the  only  thing  you  thought  you  could,  you  cut  your  edges  to  fit  just  right,  to  squeeze  right  in,  and  for  a  while  you  managed.  you  laughed  at  everything  they  deemed  funny,  and  you  picked  up  on  their  little  inside  jokes,  and  you  fit  until  the  size  didn’t  seem  right  anymore.  and  then  you  fled,  and  you’re  starting  to  think  you’re  fitting  just  a  little  better  now,  don’t  you  ?

the  dirtbag  -  something  about  them  has  always  seemed  like  home  to  you.  not  in  the  lame  ass  soulmate  kind  of  way,  because  that’s  just  never  been  what  you  guys  are  about,  but  genuine  home.  where  you  can  kick  your  feet  off  after  a  long  day  and  know  they’re  there  to  make  things  better,  simply  by  just  being  there  with  a  smart  ass  comment  and  your  favorite  brand  of  beer.  and  you  know  you’ve  been  a bit  reliant  on  them  lately,  but  sometimes  you  feel  like  they’re  all  you  have. the  prosperous  -  you  never  really  meant  to  step  on  clare’s  toes,  you  just  wanted  time  with  your  friend,  you  didn’t  think  that  was  a  crime.  but  you  seen  how  she  reacted  to  it,  how  she  might  as  well  have  stomped  on  the  floor  and  screamed  at  the  top  of  her  lungs  like  a  toddler  with  how  obvious  she  was  being.  and  you’re  not  too  ashamed  to  admit  that  you  liked  making  her  squirm.  that  she  wasn’t  as  nice  as  he  made  her  out  to  be  or  maybe  even  thought,  but  you  aren’t  evil,  and  you  could  tell  he  really  liked  her,  so  you  kept  your  comments  to  yourself,  but  you  weren’t  going  to  let  her  win.  she  had  other  friends,  didn’t  she  ?  she  could  manage  a  few  missed  dates. the  spitfire  -  you  two  are  fire  and  ice.  you’re  not  one  to  care  too  much  about  opinions,  but  something  about  the  way  they’re  always  spewing  shit  about  you  sets  you  off.  and  you  find  yourself  clenching  your  jaw  whenever  they’re  in  close  proximity.  usually  you’d  commend  someone  for  being  so  unapologetically  themself,  but  they’re  so  fucking  annoying  about  it  that  you  can’t  see  the  beauty  of  it  beyond  the  insults.
