I rarely share works in progress, but I'm doing some character profile pieces for my fanfiction project, Real Ghostbusters: Bestiary, and I'm very proud of how these are turning out.

Took a break from Siggy [right, original character], whose cane is cannibalized from an earlier piece of him, to work on Irena [left, obscure character from the comics]. I don't have a lot to work with for her as far as source content goes so I wanted to play around a little with her before I finalized anything.

Prologue is fully rewritten, has passed final edits, and is waiting any last minite touch ups + formatting. All old chapters have been taken down in preparation.

just felt like sharing a quote from this rough draft of Bestiary Ch.3 [yes ch.3!]

“Maddox, slow to the punch this time, dropped to his knees and skidded next to Egon and grabbed the PKE meter to look at it, overwhelmed by curiosity. He peered at it with furious concentration on his face, and Egon looked expectantly at him, almost hoping the intern would have a conclusion despite not having been taught how the device worked.

Finally, Maddox looked back up to the group with a grim expression and spoke. “I don’t know what this fucking says.”

so its been a while since theres been an update here but tldr life sucks and things are hard.

Chapter one proper of Bestiary is still heavily under works, and it seems that it may have to be split into two distinct chapters! Which means double the editing for me, god.

A lot of minor sections that needed heavy rewriting got just that and have been expanded upon, one section in particular being originally 220 words and having been expanded into almost 1.5k words. Here’s hoping the final result will be good, and be out sooner than later!

I’m back working on bestiary. Not a lot of other creative pursuits are working out right now so I have to take a break from the visual ones, but at least I can get back on Bestiary? It’s not anything in the current chapter, though turns out jumping around works for me.
