Tremendous green and purple clouds roll across the sky, torn by wild red-violet lightning. Thunder rolls like the death throes of a Celestial. The clouds fold in and over, revealing a crumbling citadel that can be seen falling apart while branches of myriad timelines begin to spread out. They overlap. They fracture. Trans-Dimensional beings hunt the chaotic energy manifested by the unleashing of the timelines, other worlds push and bleed through into this one.

She wishes Charles were here for this. Fury regrets not starting his Avenger Initiative sooner. He hits the bleeper, just in case. The Ancient One sees a future they do not recognise, their fingers tracing the Eye of Agamotto around their neck. Asgardian eyes turn to their own tattered skyscape. The prince will return to Midgard sooner than expected for answers. Hydra, lying in wait within S.H.I.E.L.D., wonder: is this the moment to move? Underground the Morlocks feel the earth shiver around them. More shadows in their tunnels come to snatch their people while the distractions flare.
