It also has rustic villages and outbacks that beg for hippie experiences. Places like Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass are often frequented by these junkies.
The well-known Manali hill station is enchanting all year round. While summers bring respite from the country's heated plains, winters blanket the place in a blanket of white snow, making it all the more stunning. In summer one can take part in sightseeing and adventure sports like river rafting, paragliding, zip lining, and zorbing, winters are ideal for enjoying snowfall and snow sports in Manali and so many things to do. Avoiding the rainy season (July-August) due to landslides is advisable.
From September to February temperatures can drop to minus 1 degree Celsius and the weather is surprisingly cold. In December and January, the place is completely covered with snow. It's time for snow sports like skiing, snowmobile riding, etc. March to June is summer month with comfortable temperatures between 10°C and 25°C.
