Motaz posted a 22 minute video and here’s the takeaways:

- everyday it gets worse

- aid does enter Gaza, but it is not enough. Israel won’t let a large amount enter.

- “you can’t help us, I’m sorry you can’t help us, you can’t do anything”

- he denied an interview from CNN since he does not want to be judged by people.

- “if you are human, you will share the videos, but don’t tell us you did something for us.”

- he works for UNRWAUSA, and those are the only people he trusts.

- people have been blaming him for not “doing enough/sharing enough”

The OBSESSION with identity is so crazy like the view that when you do something it immediately becomes part of your identity and all the parts of you have to click together to become “person who wakes up early” or “person who reads” no you can literally just do something without restructuring your whole performance of personhood around it. I don’t know what to tell you except that you will never be able to have an entirely unfractured view of yourself or that you will be able to rationalize all the complex parts of yourself into the phrase “person who x” like you should just be doing things without performing them. Or aestheticizing them. Just try different things on and keep what works for you. Otherwise you will never learn and grow!

#reading about how identity #and how we conceptualize it today is quite new #and there's other things like how how different parts of the world #engage with political concepts #can't remember where #but read about how someone would not identify as a feminist #but engage with feminism and advocacy #because focusing on labelling prevented their ability to fully engage with #and develop feminism in their community #and how this also applies to sexuality #that there's far less sources on people identifying as one such sexuality #but we have plenty of sources about various forms of sex and love and romance #that we would today cause us to describe a person's identity as being their sexuality #obviously this isn't to denigrate identifying oneself with their sexuality #particularly when its a response to oppression or suppresion #of that part of you #but also that i think that perhaps we should be hoping #to strive towards these aspects of ourselves #being less so labels #and more so facets of ourselvess

i see a lot of ppl talking about how daemon stopped criston cole from getting to alicent and rhaenyra as proof of his dedication and love for rhaenyra but he doesn't move when rhaenyra is attacked by alicent? who he couldn't give a shit about and would happily kill himself... imo its more that daemon recognises (like rhae) that alicent in this moment has hurt her reputation in viserys/the courts eyes and so he stops criston cole who could end the altercation sooner in order to let alicent damage her reputation

i wish they made aegon good or at least just not evil because then it makes things far more complicated and nuanced for the audience where you're torn between rhae who we've followed for years but has constantly made mistakes and hasn't really acted in a way to justify her claim versus aegon who is a usurper but (in this version) is a good person. it would be like where i think dany vs young griff in the books is going
