I've been recording 4 different playthroughs for D&D, one person LI and I've started with Mr Sinclaire because I expected him to be my least favourite but I've actually been so pleasantly surprised, him and my new MC are sooo cute I love them so much
However, the big issue is book 3
What am I going to do without my iconic lavender marriage? What am I going to have a little giggle about if not everyone's embarrassing unawareness of my deeply homosexual relationship with Miss Parsons? What will I do??
In my opinion, Adele should've died in Ship of Dreams
Not because I especially dislike her, I did to an extent understand her actions within the context of her character, but for a Titanic story, MC did not go through enough loss, it doesn't feel like the setting of the Titanic fits with the themes, there isn't enough tragedy, and for that I think Adele should've died
I also feel like this could've been helped with more prominent 3rd class characters who then realistically would've died on the actual titanic. Of the characters we got, very few were actually important to the plot and the characters who did die (like Jakob and the other two who drowned in the stairwell) didn't have much of an effect, it was very easy to forget about
The setting of the Titanic kind of just feels like a 2 dimensional backdrop tool rather than an actual part of the story to me, I just feel like if you're going to write a story based on the Titanic, you should be prepared to lean into that tragedy element of it and my expectations were not met
If anyone disagrees with me, I would be very happy to hear it though, I'd be happy to hear another perspective on this
Now that I finished Desire & Dercorum book 2, I find myself thinking that It would have been hilarious to have a side mini story just to thank Miss Ida for throwing her wine on Duke Richards-
