The criteria for “addiction” being “dopamine” is so incredibly stupid it had to have been invented by the people that try to say porn addiction is real thing

#people really do talk about dopamine like it's a legit controlled substance though it's wild #there was a guy in my comp 1 class who was doing an essay on video game addiction in children #(which to be clear i do believe is a real thing game companies absolutely exploit the fact that children lack self control) #but one of his main arguments was something to the effect of like #''videogames make ur brain produce dopamine... the same chemical it produces when u do COCAINE'' #i was like 20 and he was a concurrent highschooler and it still took SO much effort not to bully him #Yeah man i'm a dopamine addict. i'm also addicted to this wild new shit called dihydrogen monoxide

you can admire marsha p johnson without saying she was at stonewall. she has said herself that she was not at stonewall and neither was sylvia rivera, though she understands why she (sylvia) thought she was, because sylvia rivera, like many poor lgbt people both of the time and today, was pretty severely addicted to drugs and often lost time, according to many people who knew her, not just marsha.
