Realizing that Taylor wrote and rewrote her meeting and falling in love with Joe over and over on each album because she was desperately clinging to the hope that the magic and golden love would come back, but over the years it never did.
she’s holding a book with “us” written on it… the story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now… and l im thinking about is how tsou is a song about trying to move on, but you see that person everywhere and how that plays into joe and matty being similar and the parallels between her time with both of them
“who’s afraid of little old me?” being about how the media and her life of fame has hardened her to the point where she feels the meanness in herself. she literally says that none of us would survive what she’s been put through so confidently, and tells us to be afraid of her. it being pointed at the public and how their treatment of her is what has made her crazy… very much getting how the tributes in the hunger games were normal people put through the most traumatic thing which the people enjoyed it as if it’s a show and then they were berated for being hard and calculating and “un-humanlike”
mrjoshcharles : I’ve admired Taylor for a long time, but meeting her in person took my fandom to a whole new level. Genuine, kind, approachable, and just an all around stellar human being - Not to mention a kick ass director to boot! #TSTTPD
