The way the “Forever and Always” is the prototype for so many of Taylor’s songs. The themes of remembrance and reassuring herself and trying to make sense of what happened because she knows it happened, so there has to be a REASON and if she can’t think of a reason maybe it didn’t happen but she KNOWS it happened and around and around and around.
