The incomplete rainbow 🌈 (Am I the last person to notice this??)
I noticed last year when people were painting their nails the eras colours for the tour, that the hand you start on is always the more colourful one, and the other one ends up looking kinda...dull.
Now, am I the last person to notice that the first 5 TS album colours were all part of the traditional six stripe rainbow flag, the only colour missing after TS5 was orange to complete the rainbow. And then TS6 ended up NOT being orange, but black instead, and we've not had an album that was a bright colour since, all albums since rep have been muted/non-rainbow colours:
I know we're already heavily clowning for karma to right the wrongs of the rep era/what could have been after 1989, but all of this recent orange seems even more significant now:
I mean technically Guilty as Sin? is a song about Taylor *imagining* getting eaten out by a woman who's very important to her and touching herself to the thought so good that she ends up going through la petite morte once she, erhm, y'know, finishes and then Taylor thinking about how she should just have her very important woman eat her out for real instead of in her imagination because she'll get crucified for it happening in her imagination and in real life so she might as well make it happen in real life if she'll get crucified either way.
But anyways I digress, you're right, Guilty as Sin? is one of the gayest songs in Taylor's entire discography and Ratty is a pathetic red herring for people to fall for 🚬😒
So... (not to jinx anything but) if we're following the Lover timeline, we kickstarted this jazz in April (ME! Out now/TTPD release), next big step was the YNTCD mv in mid June. If we're getting a gay ass mv this June, my money is on Down Bad with a female love interest or But Daddy I Love Him where she tears up her wedding dress and sets the church on fire. 🔥🔥🔥😉
(and for a total gamble, dates to watch might be June 14th - anniversary of the YNTCD mv, and June 21st - National Daylight Day/summer solstice, and of course June 30th)
