Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.
The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.
The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

"I could be really brash and really loud and really dressed however I wanted to and almost made [Chappell] on purpose a drag version of myself so I can be whatever I want. It allows me to feel really safe exploring those aspects of myself. I’d never be able to do that if I took myself super seriously with pop. I think that the project has allowed me to be a part of the queer community in a deeper way because I'm not observing from the outside anymore. I feel like I'm in it. I am the queer community–it's allowed me to just feel queer, feel like a queer person and feel freedom in that."

the title in point of fact refers to the thousand poets who must be sacrificed daily to maintain the album's power. their verbal, choral, and mental wails of agony in concert sustain taylor and the far-reaching beacon of her influence as she sits trapped within the album. unethical you say but it's really quite an honor

to be completely honest the entire reason eloise is the way she is is that one day i heard 'your love is my drug' by kesha playing in the hallway at work and i was like. you know what i want to make a warhammer character who would fucking love 'your love is my drug' by kesha. and that character was eloise
