Hello, my dear readers.

First, I just want to apologize for the unexpected hiatus. I’m sorry I just up and left without saying anything until now. Most of all, I’m sorry for the sad news.

I know I said head-canon requests were going to be opening and closing frequently a few months ago but... I’ve just lost the motivation for writing for Devil May Cry.

I tried over the course of being gone to write for the remaining requests I had but I just couldn’t come up with anything good enough to send out. It also didn’t help that some of those requests in my inbox were eaten before I could get to them and couldn’t remember what they said. (I read them all before starting the first one). Also, my computer having problems and my ups and downs just made the hiatus draw out even longer.

I mentally battled with myself to try to give you more content; to push through the dwindling motivation. Sadly, I lost the battle.

Maybe I’ll get to writing on this blog again. Maybe I might finish the ones siting in my inbox. I won’t lie, I don’t know. At the moment it’s an almost definite hiatus.

The roleplay blog, unfortunately, will be deactivated sometime this weekend. I’m very sorry to those who like interacting with the guys and wanted to interact with them more.

This blog will still be here so you all can still come back and read the head-canons whenever you desire.

I really loved writing for this fandom. Loved to give you all something to enjoy. And loved your guy’s support.

I may not be posting, but I’ll still be around.

Instinctually, demon and hybrid-demon offspring can tell who their parent's are by their aura or appearance.

With hybrid little ones, they can be startled -at first- when a parent suddenly changes form for the first time.

Since they’re still so young the babies think they lost their parent to another demon and now they’re vulnerable to a threat.

When Dante's baby or Vergil's baby see them SDT, the babies will whimper and eventually start crying until they're soothed with purring or feel their parent's aura.

What if two demons were courting the same mate?

Oh boy...

It would depend on the situation.

If both demons courting the same mate have a bond, they won't try to kill each other over that mate. Of course, they will fight over their chosen mate.

However, a demon sharing a bond of some kind with another who are competing for the same mate is rare -and that's if their primal mating instincts don't make them kill each other in the first place. (This applies to full-blooded demons)

Now, in general, demons courting the same mate will fight off and/or kill their competitors. It's survival of the fittest in the demon world.

Demons are territorial and possessive over what is theirs -hybrids less so- and do not take kindly to any unwanted trespassers and threats.

Hybrids like Dante, Vergil, and Nero, have human blood to help balance out any "just eliminate the competition" mindset. But that applies with each other and those that are loved ones or anyone they consider close to them. Although, humans wouldn't be much to worry about since humans are much weaker compared to them.

Dante

Dante is whiney and irritated whenever you have to leave for work during his mating season.

He will gather pillows, covers, and as many of your clothes as possible and arrange them on his bed like a nest.

After he's surrounded with your clothing he would longingly croon and roll around in them. The nest calms his instincts enough to lull him to sleep until you return.

When you do return he will shoot up and make a beeline for you, picking you up and quickly making his way back to the nest. You will be smothered with devil kisses for a while.

Vergil

Vergil is frustrated and growly when you try to assure him that you won't be that far away from him, that you will come back later and give him as much attention he wants when you get back.

He tries not to go to the remaining source of your scent in the vicinity; your clothing. Of course that fails after an hour of fighting with his devil half.

Your clothes give him brief satisfaction due to your sweet aroma he loves so much.

When you get back he pulls you onto the nest he made, not letting you move away from being pressed up against his body as he rumbles out purrs and croons.

Nero

It takes Nero everything to keep in the wanting, sad whines when you kiss him before you leave for work.

He uses the scent of your clothes to comfort himself when the need to have some part of you near him overwhelms him, holding one of your shirts to his face as he purrs.

Your scent alone keeps him content enough while you're out and about, but he prefers to have you there with him in his nest.

After you return you find yourself grabbed by blue spectral wings and pulled against a very affectionate devil-triggered Nero in a nest of blankets and your clothing.

Dante

Dante's demonic senses were trying to tell him there was something going on with her -he just couldn't put his finger on it.

He can sense her unease and fear.

His devil instincts emerge because his mate is scared and he can't find the reason for it; this puts Dante into protection mode.

This red devil becomes more primal the longer his s/o doesn't tell him.

It eventually clicks in his brain that she's pregnant.

He'll go to her and tells her he figured out that she's pregnant, pulling her close as he purrs.

His instincts are now all over the place when he still senses the fear in her scent.

When she tells him her fear and why she didn't say anything sooner, Dante pulls her closer and croons -placing a gentle and protective hand over her abdomen.

Now she is going to have a primal, protective half-devil hovering over her all throughout the pregnancy.

Dante is also very talkative -you are both two peas in a pod- so he becomes confused when you suddenly go silent. Did he do something to upset you? Did he say something that you didn't like?

At first he'll try to ease you back into talking again with jokes or talking about something you like. And if that fails he will become serious and ask you to tell him what's wrong so he can help make you feel better.

When you eventually do tell him the reason for the sudden silence he'll just pull you to him and plant kisses on you're face between praises of how much he likes hearing your voice.

He loves your voice -just hearing it makes him feel gooey inside.

Vergil

You going more silent than him immediately lets him know that something is wrong.

Will not hesitate to confront you about it. He wants to know what upset you so he can fix it and see that happy smile on your face again.

When you tell him why you've gone silent so suddenly he is boiling on the inside -not at you, but at anyone who has hurt you with such foolish words.

He'll easily make you feel better by comparing your voice to the most amazingly-beautiful literature ever created.

Vergil knows that he's not very talkative himself, so you talking enough for the both of you makes him very content.

Nero

Instantly worried about you and drops anything he is doing at that moment to ask you what's wrong.

This sweetheart of a man will grasp your hand in his and purr softly to ease you into telling him what has got you so quiet.

Will be pissed off at whoever made you think that you talk too much -his inner devil practically roaring on the inside.

He'll be quick to reassure you that he loves to hear you talk -it makes him happy when you're happy. 'Forget those damn idiots. Talk as much as you want, I fucking love it.'

Can I request separate headcanons of Dante and Vergil finding out that their fem!s/o is trying to sacrifice their life to resurrect the twins’ mother, Eva? Would they let they’re a/o follow through with it, and how would this make them feel?

For add more detail, their s/o’s basically are willing to do a spell, ritual, or whatever to give up their lives and bring back Eva because they believe that will make the Dante and Vergil truly happy.

Just the look of utter disappointment on his face would make her change her mind.

He would be saddened by his s/o willing to end her own life just to bring back his mother.

Dante is touched, don't get him wrong, but he loves his s/o. He wouldn't want to lose her.

His mother has been dead for many years, it's in the past. Dante wants to look ahead, not back.

Vergil

No. He will not allow it.

Internally he would be furious and hurt that she would be willing to give up her own life.

He loved his mother, and there were times he wished he could see her again -to say how sorry he was for accusing her of abandoning him- but he has moved on. He wants his s/o to understand that.

Vergil has painfully overcome his past and is finally at peace with it, so he wants to move forward with his s/o. The past is in the past.

The Basics of Demon Courting:

Strength and Power:

Only the strong survive in the demon world.

The show of power is the main thing demons do when they are trying to court a potential mate.

Demons are dominant by nature -it tells others that they are the ideal mate.

A demon is attracted to strength, that's a given. But if a potential mate is a human that demon might be attracted to -for example- a strong will or personality.

Every demon is different in finding what kind of strength they like in a potential mate -but most like power.

Protection is a big factor for showing one's strength and power. (Looking at you, Vergil.)

Displaying:

Demons have many ways to display. Physical strength, demonic power, coloration and markings, their body, or wings.

If a demon has wings they will flare them wide -not only to show they're a big and bad demon- but to show they know that they're powerful and not afraid of other demons seeing it. Confidence.

Flaring of wings is also a show of pride. Its like -look at me, this is a mate you want. (Like a peacock really.)

If they flare out their wings in private with a mate it means they are letting their guard down -to show vulnerability. That demon is trusting the one of their desires not to attack and try to rip their wings off.

Providing:

Presenting kills to a potential mate lets that demon show they can provide protection, as well as sustenance. Demons do eat other demons.

A courting demon will also provide a home -which is their nest- to a mate.

And lets not forget about young -that is if the mated pair can reproduce with one another.

If that demon can reproduce with a potential mate they will want to provide offspring. It's instinctual.

Scent Marking:

Demons scent mark. When the potential mate allows the courting demon to be near or touch them they will be scent marked.

It's a signal to other demons to stay away, or die. A possessive, yet protective part of courting.

Scent marking can happen by: the demon's demonic energy, by being in close proximity, or physical touch.

It also helps the courting demon by taking in their potential mate's scent -to identify where they're at when the demon goes off to find a kill for them.

How a demon scent marks with physical touch is either by: brushing up against the potential mate, nuzzling or licking the neck or shoulder, and touching of the face.

Nests:

A safe, secluded place for a potential mate and any future offspring -if they can produce offspring with each other, that is.

Nests are shown to a mate when they accept that demon's courting.

A demon's nest is their only safe spot from other demons or threats. It's their home, in a sense -a place of comfort.

Mating is also a big part of courting for a demon.

It's not only to prove that they can give pleasure but also breed strong, healthy offspring. (I betcha almost all demons have a breeding kink. *wink wink*)

If that potential mate is willing for their demon-intended to show them courting through mating -whoo boy!

And lets be honest, mating with a courting demon is intense.

There will be growling, biting, purring. Many sounds coming from a courting demon.

Play fighting and wrestling around to give their potential mate just a taste of what they are capable of.

Scent marking will happen. The courting demon finds pleasure and comfort in their little mate's scent.

Rough sex is a guarantee. That demon will ravage them. Bites, nips, and licks all along their mate’s neck. Claws leaving faint scratches because that demon is just so eager.

Dominance. Holding their mate down, towering over them so nothing else can see the delectableness that is their intended mate.

The stamina of a demon is extraordinary. Their mate will not go without many orgasms.

If that demon can speak then there might be dirty talk. Down right dirty.

Possessiveness. Telling a potential mate that they are theirs. Only they can give their mate pleasure, their protection, their loyalty -and if there's a possibility- their offspring.

A potential human mate is handled softer than a demon mate. Demons can handle all the roughness of mating, but humans are delicate -physically weaker.

A courting demon will stop if asked or see any signs of discomfort and will slow down if things become too much. They hold back much more strength with a human mate.

There is aftercare for both demon and human mates -though humans get much more aftercare.

Potential human mates will be lavished with coos, purrs, and nuzzles. They will have any scratches and bites licked thoroughly to help heal them enough so they don't bleed.

Mating season is the most intense time to be courted by a demon. Its like a frenzy due to the many demons looking for mates at once.

--Now to the guys!--

Basic little things:

The guys can change between their human self and devil-triggers while courting.

The longer courting goes on the more instinctual their demon behavior gets.

They act completely primal in any devil-trigger.

In devil-trigger they will start to call their little love interest 'mate'. This flusters potential s/o.

They are already more protective and possessive than humans -though it will be amplified when it comes to courting.

If its mating season when they found someone who caught their eyes it’s hard for them to get out of devil-trigger.

Dante

Once Dante falls for someone his devil mindset slowly starts to seep in.

He'll be hesitant -trying to fight off these instincts- because he has never had this happen. He's afraid he might hurt them.

Then he remembers the person of his affections trusts him, so he lets instinct take over.

He will scent mark, since he's so touchy-feely. He'll brush up and nuzzle at his little sweetheart. Will absolutely melt with rumbling purrs if they -accidently or not- mark him back.

When Dante displays for his potential mate he likes to show off his strength and body. 'Like what you see, sweetheart~? I can give you what you want.'

Dante will literally demand attention. He wants them to love on him and touch him. Hell, he wants their undivided attention throughout his courting of them.

In SDT he loves it when they scratch under his chin. He'll chuff in hello as he gently headbutts them.

Will be so ecstatic and eager to mate if potential s/o wants to see that spicy side of courting.

This red devil likes to play fight and wrestle before taking them.

Dante is rough and very physical when mating. He'll put is little mate face down, holding onto their hips as he goes to town and just ravages them. His instincts demand that he keep them underneath him.

Dirty talker. Before Dante loses his ability to speak and starts to let out demonic sounds in the heat of pleasure he is a major dirty talker. He wants to tell them exactly what's on his mind. 'Fuck, you feel so good!' 'You like my demon cock, don't ya, my sexy little mate~.' 'I'm gonna stuff you so full with my seed that you'll be dripping with it for days.' 'You're mine.'

Aftercare from Dante is touchy -like he's in awe they did this with him. A major amount of nuzzles and caresses. His inner demon booming with pride at the blissful look on their face.

Vergil

Like Dante, he would just outright fight against his demonic nature to court the one who stole his heart. Though its not because he's necessarily scared of hurting them, but its because he knows how his devil side will go about courting.

Vergil has to have a strong bond and trust with someone for him to want them as a mate. And once he does, his devil half takes over his mindset. He wants to court them.

When Vergil displays he likes to show his power in battle to the one who caught his eye. He wants to impress them. He'll bring his more powerful kills over to his potential mate, to show that he can easily provide nourishment and protection.

This blue devil also likes to flare his wings wide at them like a prideful peacock. In his demon brain its like- 'Behold my power, little one. If you want this, then just surrender yourself to me~'.

He's touch-starved. He'll purr in satisfaction if they touch his chitin-like armor and leathery, scaled skin. It tells him that they are receptive to his courting.

Vergil is very dominant when his instincts take over -though not in a controlling way. He's only showing them that he's the most powerful, that he can provide them with the most protection. He is the alpha devil.

Speaking of dominance~. If potential s/o lets Vergil show his courting through mating they are going to be at his mercy. He won't let them move out from under him once they start.

Possessive when he speaks as he firmly ravages them. 'You're mine, little one.' 'Don't look away from me.' 'Only I can make you feel like this.'

Breeding kink. (Well, they all kinda do.) Vergil's is just more said out loud. 'I can give you strong, healthy little ones if you'd allow me~.'

Vergil is soft but firm with aftercare. He'll slowly drag his tongue over any nicks and bites to make sure that they are closed. He's sensual with his touch.

Nero

Unfortunately, being a quarter-devil does not exempt Nero from his primal, demonic instincts.

Nero would be the most freaked out about his demonic behavior. He just starts to have an urge to act more demon-like. And all towards someone he has come to love, romantically.

He went to his father and Dante in a panic over the primal thoughts he was feeling over a certain love interest. It took some time to calm Nero and let him know that this is just normal for him.

While Nero is already protective, his devil side amps it up a notch. He'll hold them in his arms and his spectral wings will be wrapped around them to keep them safe. Clingy baby.

This blushy devil will drink up any affection his little love will give him in return. He will purr and nuzzle against them, scent marking them so other demons will stay away.

At times he's a little hesitant to have them touch him due to his instincts being strong in certain moments.

Internally growls in satisfaction when his little love wants to see how mating with a courting demon is.

Likes close contact while mating. Chests pressed together while he litters his little love with nuzzles, nips, and licks.

A praiser. 'You look so beautiful under me.' 'You like how that feels? I can give you so much more.' 'Damn, you make me want to lose control.'

The most loving aftercare. Nero will purr and caress his little mate with his spectral wings for a while -lots of tender affection. He will also lick any scratches and bitemarks softly in apology. Once Nero's primal brain calms down enough he will fetch a washcloth and gently clean them off as he mumbles praises of how well they took him.

Hello dear readers!

Hi, I'm not dead!

For my absence, I've had a pretty shitty beginning of the year. Recovered from surgery in January. I had to put my cat, Cookie, of 9 years asleep towards the end of February due to a nasal tumor in her skull (she lost weight over time and her eye was being pushed by it), and I couldn't afford those crazy prices to have her skull scanned and have surgery done to her.

I got depressed for almost a month after putting her to sleep. She was a therapeutic cat to me over the years due to bad home life growing up -I had a strong bond with her, so it hit hard.

Also, I had to juggle exams with all this craziness going on. It was hectic.

But, I'm feeling much better now. I recently got a couple new little trouble-makers. Two new kittens! They are just little balls of energy! They brightened me up again. I'm thankful for those little furballs.

Ah, sorry. Anyway. I have some good news for all of you, my dear readers! On to it!

There's a new '"--" Head-canons' coming out soon for ya in the next couple days. Along with something you all might be very happy about.
