Honestly I think Missy should've told Simm!Master that she made out with Twelve. There's absolutely no narrative purpose for it, but I think it would've been funny to see Simm!Master react to that.

I don't care what you say about the 60th anniversary specials. David Tennant's Doctor has never been fruitier than whatever the hell he was doing in Utopia. The way he looks at Professor Yana? Whatever the hell kind of vibes he was putting off in his conversation with Jack in the radiation chamber? Ignoring the two people who currently fancy you in exchange for looking near-worshipfully at your evil ex in human form because he embodies hope? Telling your other ex that you can't stand to look at him because he's wrong yet being more honest with him than you have anyone else for a long, long time? Unhinged queer icon. Who needs healthy admissions of feeling when you have whatever the hell kind of subtext-rising-to-text these two moments are conveying

sometimes, it destroys me to think about how Max didnât recognize Chloe in the bathroom. i donât get why nobody is talking about it. how, when Chloe asks her, sheâs obviously ashamed of not recognizing her immediately. how she wishes she wouldâve. how theyâre both bittersweet about it. because what do you mean you donât recognize her. this is your childhood best friend. you grew up alongside her. you know her better than you know yourself, she knows you like the back of her hand. but you donât recognize her. to you, sheâs still the 14 year old girl who just lost her father. to her, youâre still the 13 year old girl who left her behind. you didnât get to see her cut her hair, and dye them blue, and become who she is, so you still know her by heart, but when you see her for the first time after five years, when you save her life, you donât recognize her. then, she saves you in the parking lot, and you look into her eyes, and then you just know. and she does too. because sheâs your childhood best friend, and you know her better than yourself, and she knows you like the back of her hand, and you get in her car, and you recognize her now. of course you do. because after five years youâre still Max Caulfield.

Do you think that one night in the Temple-Noble household, curled up under a blanket on the couch with half empty mugs of hot chocolate cooling down on the coffee table, Donna and The Doctor got to talking about all the things sheâd missed in the others long life? In the time they spent without her? In the time they spent before her?
Do you think Donna asked about all the people they knew before theyâd met each other? All the other Marthaâs and Melanieâs, and Roseâs?
Do you think they told her about what happened to them all? How they left them, how they lost them?
Do you think when they got to Jamie and Zoe, Donna felt a sudden deep sorrow in her chest? Because she knows how they felt after losing someone you canât possibly remember. She knows how that empty space festers within your mind and how it spreads to every part of who you are until youâre not even certain if there was ever a time this *thing* wasnât missing?
But she got to remember all of it. And she knows that they didnât. She knows that they spent the rest of their lives with that deafening black hole within themselves. Not knowing how to fill it to satisfy its all encompassing abyss. Maybe they remembered on some level. Maybe their memories of their time together, even erased from their grasp, impacted the way they acted, the way they treated life. Or maybe they really were just snapped back and left with a festering nothingness that they tried to ignore the best they could, like there was something there all along.
Do you think she chooses not to tell The Doctor this just yet? Because their hot chocolates are getting colder, and theyâre falling asleep on her shoulder mumbling of all the happy times and adventures they had with those two all those centuries ago. And she couldnât bare to take that from them. Not now. Not tonight.
Sheâs partially sure they know anyway. That theyâre choosing to pass over that detail of their departure for her own sake. That theyâre the one who chose not to tell. Not tonight. Maybe not ever.

As a lesbian, itâs happened twice already that one âguyâ stands out to me and I think âhuh maybe theyâre kinda cute and interesting, I wanna get to know themâ and then I get to know them better and itâs a closeted trans girl who I somehow sniffed with my little nonbinary lesbian nose

my favourite thing about the press and promotion for the new doctor who and it's rebrand as a "whole new series" is how rtd is subtley yet consistently dissing the chibnall era just a little bit. Like "i think it's time for a refresh... a new start for the show... time to re-assess... we had a lot of the master recently let's put him on the backburner... let's go back to the show's roots... let's have some fun with it to do something we've not seen before..." it's so indirect and polite but it's also like whoaaah we need to course-correct after how that ended. and also maybe continue to ignore all that new lore they introduced with the Flux???
