Fic: Lost in Translation

So there I was, thinking about the concept of “love languages” when this story snuck into my brain. 

Pre-canon Goodnight Robicheaux/Billy Rocks, with a guest appearance by a frightened bookstore clerk and the work of Elizabeth Barrett Browning (whose work I generally do not enjoy as much as her husband’s, but it’s hard to get romantic with My Last Duchess). Some might say that the world did not need another “how they confessed their love” story, but some might also say that I didn’t need to eat that fourth cookie, either, and I don’t plan to listen to any of them.
