This is Violet! Finished in March 2022. For the record, I made her well before ‘blue hair and pronouns’ was a meme x) She’s actually one of my Danger Days killjoy OCs from waaaay back, bc a radioactive desert is a radioactive desert. (Her killjoy name is "Ultra-Violet Deathwish”.) Her giant rat friend is Diode, thank you to Kat for helping me name her; and her gun is Zip. (I drew her with a plasma pistol here, but in-game I went with either a plasma defender or a multiplasma caster. The second would’ve conflicted with the rat, though, and between the defender & the regular pistol, the latter frankly looks much cooler. I only used energy weapons bc I actively resent being taught about real guns through video games even a little bit, and refuse to learn \o/  )

New year still here! Hello~

The first drawing, I’d like to claim it was a warmup or proof of concept, but no, I drew it up to how it is in April 2020 (yeah) and then decided to call it done. It did end up becoming one though, since I started the second art directly to fix parts of the first that didn’t make sense. With only a little exaggeration the leaves took several hundred hours to do. Very much respect for artists who do backgrounds regularly.

The dog’s name is Dot! I modeled her after a specific breed, but now have no idea which that was and can’t find a reference picture anywhere, of course. Her breed is “does well with children and fur is covered with dots” until further notice, and really, that’s all that matters~

Bubbles! From January 2020 (last year upon typing), mostly just for fun but also based on an art lesson I remembered all of a sudden from like, 11th grade. The lesson was “Draw six balls” (hawhaw) and how as you grew up / got better at art, yout interpretation of how to draw them would evolve into having more ~art concepts~ in it. Like if you’re six you’d probably just draw six circles lined up in a row; and by the time you’re in 11th grade you’ve added stuff like size variation, overlap, some of them off the frame, etc. It was a pretty neat lesson! I had good art teachers. Support fine arts programs and public schools

Finished this on July 3rd 2019, and it shows almost the exact opposite time of year! Called ‘Solstice Morning’. This took me three Billion years to get the lighting the way I wanted, but I’m pretty happy with it.

So I was working on a thing inspired~ by tumblr user Starsinyourskyes post the other day (link) about ‘Lizard Suit’ and what kind of suit the song meant, when I told my mom about it. Her immediate response was like, “Oh, so something a lizard would wear to a business meeting.” And I was like,, “Well, no, but it will be now”.

And then this little professional! Who may or may not be planning some kind of assassination attempt.

Finished this in October 2019, which is right around when the wheatfields around my home get harvested and / or burned to make room for new crops after the winter. I like this one almost by accident; I wanted to draw something fast and kind of blocky, and it worked out pretty well. Colours!

Below it, lower in the art, is a book which is propped open by a copper compass, which has purple flowers pressed into one of its pages. The book is laying directly on top of a pair of blue woolen mitts, and a bright yellow ribbon. Close by the mitts is a thin bracelet in a pale colour.

To the right of the mitts is a small comapct-mirror with a movable latch to cover it. Below that is a small hairbrush, and a pocket-sized sewing kit. Underneath the sewing kit, at the bottom of the art, is a metal dagger with details carved thinly on the blade. Its sheath is layed a bit haphazardly on top of it, like they’d been tossed onto the bed at the same time. To their right is Mei-Ling mess kit; wooden spoon and a fork, a metal dish and small metal drinking cup, and some kind of suspicious bright-green tincture that Komui made.

Above the mess kit things is Mei-Ling’s equipment Innocence, Heaven Weaver, which is laying across the blanket. The fabric on the arms has been smudged with blood. Mei-Ling’s rosary is placed on top of the Innocence, much more carefully than her knife. Beside the folded Innocence is another bracelet, thick carved jade, which is glowing slightly with magic.

Flapping above the rest of is Mei-Ling’s golem, a standard round black golem with bat wings and a (not standard) rounded star for a pupil. It's winging its way across the blanket to somewhere out of sight.

Happy Pride! Painted on June 2nd 2019, and coming distressingly close to being a feathersona. I don’t have that t-shirt in real life but wish I did. I do, however, have almost that exact toque.
