I just love the idea that Beth orchestrated her suicide to pull Sarah into the conspiracy. I think she wanted to find someone to replace her–someone with “a fresh pair of eyes” to figure the whole thing out. She was looking for clones everywhere, and found Tony. But Tony was in transition, figuring his own life out, she couldn’t rip him from that. She found Sarah by accident in the criminal records and knew at once by her file–this woman was like her, and was so desperate for a new life that she’d do something as despicable as take over a dead woman’s life. She timed it perfectly right so that Sarah would see her. I think that was her final act, making sure her sisters would be safe.

At her statement about Jesse she looked away from her, tapping at her lip. “That was before I was arrested.” All it did was make her think about Sarah watching her be put in the police car. 

“He is a very nice man.” 

Sarah sits down across from Helena, crosses her arms on the table. “Yeah?” There’s no fear here, none of the wariness of her first encounters with Helena. Only hurt. “Good.” She kicks Helena gently under the table and offers the most genuine grin she can manage--it’s small, rather tired. But it’s there. “Make sure he treats you right, 'kay?”

Delphine was staring out of the window, lost in her thoughts when suddenly the door of her office opened. She was slightly startled but composed herself. 

“Sarah.. thank you for coming. Please take a seat, we have some things to discuss.”

Yeah, no. She doesn’t sit--isn’t willing to give Delphine that much power here; instead she leans her forearms on the back of the chair. Uncomfortable, maybe. But worth it.
