๐ŸŒฟ Just took a big step toward our dream of sustainable living! ๐Ÿก Today, Iโ€™m thrilled to share part one of my series on creating our 4ft x 4ft raised garden beds. Two months ago, we moved into our new home on an acre and a quarter, and the vision of growing our own organic food is coming to life.
But hereโ€™s the exciting part โ€“ these materials were super easy to put together, no nails needed for this phase!
The first project on our propertyโ€™s backyard agenda involved a trip to Home Depot, where I picked up the essentials:
- 12 Tan Brown Concrete Planter Wall Blocks (7.5 in. x 7.5 in. x 5.5 in.) at $0.90 each, totaling $10.80.
- 6 Prime Lumber (2 in. x 8 in. x 8 ft.) at $6.85 each, amounting to $41.10. [ I had these cut in half]
- 4 pieces of 1/2 in x 2 ft. #4 Rebar, costing $17.12.
This is more than just a garden bed; itโ€™s a commitment to a healthier lifestyle as we get older. With the moving chaos settling and our family adjusting, I canโ€™t wait to see this garden flourish.
Stay tuned as I share the journey of filling this bed with the goodness thatโ€™ll sustain us and nurture our connection with the land. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ #DIYGarden #SustainableLiving #HomeGrownGoodness #BackyardProjects #OrganicLife
