Are you guys interested into dubbing comics and/or drawings with dialogues?

I definitely would should said comics have the characters I voice! What's interesting is that I first got my start in doing specific characters by doing test dub lines for a Shovel Knight comic way back in early 2020, and if not for those experimental lines I did, I wouldn't have the voices I do for Specter and Tinker. So yeah, it's absolutely something I've thought about; I'm fairly certain one of Mod Mona's first reels on here was a dub of a comic, even! - Mod Tinker

Okay now that im calm, i can explain why i dont like the dub.

its just a big ol “hey look at all of these famous people from genshin impact we got to voice our characters” and it just feels like a very big fuck you to voice over artists who have like one or two or none at all credits on work, you dont have to listen to it, that’s completely up to you what I’m saying is support smaller voice actors.

I cannot stress this enough but please. Support smaller voice actors

Specter Knight traverses to the depths of the Lost City, looking to recruit its overseer, Mole Knight, as an excavator as per The Enchantress’ request. But will he succeed, or will he instead bear witness to the claws of fate?

This interaction between Specter Knight and Mole Knight in Specter of Torment was just asking to be dubbed. I had previously voiced a version of the conversation back in mid-2020, though I ended up rerecording it a week or two ago now that I have a new microphone to record stuff with. At some point I plan on voicing the interaction between Specter and Tinker, too!

Mod Tinker here, since my last post on this account I'm happy to announce I got a new headset with a built in microphone, and now my dubs sound a whole lot cleaner; I've voiced a few things that I've been wanting to post, but as Mod Mona said tumblr's been weird about uploading audio.

I've emailed tumblr support regarding the issue and am currently thinking of workarounds, but be sure that the instant the problem is resolved that you'll bear witness to a whole bunch of silly stuff I've voiced!

Anything planned for Shovel Knight's 7th anniversary, guys? ;))

While I didn't post anything for the anniversary on this blog, I plan on dubbing some in-game dialogue at some point; the real challenge for me is deciding whether I should stick directly to the source material or add a few lines since each interaction with a boss knight tends to be anywhere between four to five lines. I dunno. Maybe I can settle on an interaction to test it out with lol I know I've said this a few times but more short and sweet voice reels are planned! I've recently figured out how to replicate the effects for my Mole and Specter voices on my computer (Before now I was doing all this on my phone and I wanted better voice quality), now I just need to find a good enough voice recorder! - Mod Tinker

Hey! Are you planning on doing other voice acting based on dialogues in the game, like the bread thing? In Showdown for example, between Mole/Tinker and Mole/Treasure, and Plague/Mona? Still love what you do!!

Oh, certainly! I'm pretty sure I even have voice lines for Tinker's confrontation with Mole from Showdown somewhere, though I'd like to rerecord them at some point. Mod Mona and I have even voiced Plague Knight and Specter Knight's interaction from Plague of Shadows, and while an older reel, it's definitely one I'm confident in giving a few tweaks and uploading sometime. Really, it all depends. If we have any plans to, we will certainly make a post regarding the matter. I wasn't keen on answering this with a definite 'yes' or 'no', so really all I can say is if we do decide to accept mod applications, keep an eye out! - Mod Tinker

Mole Knight stands big and talks bigger. Unfortunately, he chooses the wrong words for somebody within shovel-striking distance. Based off of a text box I made for Mole Knight which was also based off of certain key art from Shovel of Hope (Which I’ve made the album art of this bite-sized reel).
