uhhhhhhhh. Went out for lunch with my gym buddy ben which is the first time we've ever hung out outside of working out in 3 years. It was chill we get along great and the food was delicious. but it was weird lmao

2 - what are some of the things that have made you who you are?

oh god who am i???

i think a lot of books have influenced my writing, especially V.E. Schwab. her flowery poetic prose is something i try and do myself.

i think my time at school deffo had a part in who i am now, i like to think it made me nicer and unbothered by how others choose to live their lives because people at school were SO bothered by how u chose to live, and i dont want to be like that.

i think being a 13 year old obsessed with tv shows and watching every show in existence has made me cringe and free and so imaginative

21 - how do you take your pizza?

i am super boring and fussy so a good ol margarita is the one for me! i like thin pizzas unless im specifically getting pizza hut, where i go for pan every time.

24 - do you follow the news?

i’ll be honest, not really. i know what’s going on around the world because i think its hard not to in our social media age but im not buying newspapers or watching the news in the morning.

this is me hitting y'all with a "hear me out" on bikeriders!gale and college student leaving!john. pleasepleaseplease think of the cliche daddy issues. the slow burn angst. strong intimidating but softie biker bf pulling up to pretty college bf's house. gale passing his helmet to john while john's parents watch from the kitchen window in horror as their son gets on the back of a rugged tatted man's motorcycle. john stealing gale's hoodie when he stays over so he can 'accidentally' wear it home the next day and bury his face in the smell of gale's cigarettes and cologne and gasoline and open road.

or, alternatively, bikeriders!gale is leaving!john's friend's single dad lmaoo. classic dilf crush trope. john makes a new friend at college and the first time he goes to his house he meets his dad and is like fuck. well, that's it for me. he crushes hard from day one and has no idea gale feels the same way because he's dense and gale's not gonna make the first move obviously. and god, the miscommunication and the secret flirting and the hookups and dancing around feelings because neither is sure if it's more than sex for the other. i could fill three books with this shit genuinely <3

idk i just think the contrast of both of them would be such a fun dynamic to explore and they'd look fucking beautiful together :-)

John glances out the window, at the setting sun that was sinking sleepily over Tioga. He suspects Gale would have just finished dinner. Maybe he’s sat at their table, playing solitaire, looking out to the same star. He smiles.

It had been four years since Gale Cleven had found one “Bucky” Egan almost bleeding to death in his stables, and life had been far better for it. The town of Lemmon welcomed their new Deputy sincerely, a pleasant change to the lawman who had come before him, and Bucky had responded to their acceptance with pleasing smiles and endearing quips. Even brothers, Crosby and Bubbles, had started to fear him less, and like him more. John had slipped into Gale’s world and knocked it out of orbit, into a kinder, softer galaxy. - Rosie’s holding a letter in his hand. “Bucky home yet?” He asks carefully. “I ain’t seen him.” All Gale can do is shake his head, dread building in his lungs. In his peripheral, Curt stands up. “He okay?” Curt asks. “Course he is,” Gale snaps, and then regrets it. He says, softer, “when you known him not to be okay?” - The one where Deputy John Egan doesn’t come home for a few days, and Gale sets out to find him. (Can be read as a sequel to Wild Things, or a standalone.)

Slow Horses has one of the best ensembles ever imo

you’ve got the conventionally attractive nepo baby MC River who is just the most cringe fail dude alive. Simultaneously the best and worst at his job, gets stuck in revolving doors, behaves like a cat shoving things off counters when bored. then you’ve got Lamb, who has to keep his losers from dying against his will, never showers, is actively drinking himself to death, is the funniest motherfucker alive. You’ve got Catherine Standish, possesses at least 60% of the slough house brain cells at any given time, is secretly a chess master, is an alcoholic, and is the beating heart of the team. Louisa Guy who keeps stolen items in tubs of Ben and Jerry’s, loves and is exasperated by her cringefail boyfriend in equal measure, will straight up torture people when necessary. Shirley Dander, lesbian junkie who punches misogynists and killed a man with an Elton John bootleg CD. Marcus Longridge who has both a baby on board sign on his car and an arsenal of illegal weapons in his trunk, and has a really bad gambling addiction, turned down a major promotion because he didn’t like the vibes. Min, sweet Min, who rather than just remove his car stereo is content with listening to the scientist over and over again. I just love them all. And that’s just the slow horses themselves. The biggest losers ever 😭.
