SO! I've just read the Auntie Nena comics and I have to say that it's SO GOOD! Based right off the movie "Auntie Mame" from 1958 (great great movie as well, I recommend it!)

It follows young Clarabelle as she goes to live with her eccentric aunt for a few days

And she's the cutest at every single panel!

Auntie Nena is... everything. And a bit more: She's dramatically honest, outgoing and supportive towards anything good, a funny and unique character that you can't help but fall in love with! (You can see where Clarabelle gets her future attitude from)

(Oh and to talk about the conflicts going on between our dear eccentric aunt and the conservative strict lawyer Mr. Headstrong)

I would just adore to follow more of the adventures of these three. Loved to read it so here I am getting some more attention to this great story!

Hellooo! I'm back with a small update. I'm (slowly) uploading all of the Original X Mickey issues and stories to the internet archive! You can find everything that I've added so far here: https://archive.org/details/@whitemouseinn

Eventually you should be able to read each issue on the archive without downloading, but it takes a while to process so check back in a few days/hours if its not available yet.

They're all in the original Italian, unedited (as far as i know). I left the scans as-is, nothing has been cleaned up. If you want to download these scans for your own translations (or to just re-upload elsewhere), please go ahead!

I cannot stress enough how much more x mickey stories exist beside the main stories. every issue has one long story (30 to 45ish pages–the stuff im focusing on rn), one medium story (15 to 25ish pages), and a couple of short stories (around 4 pages) and 1-pager gag comics. Plus silly little in-universe full-page ads and character bios etc

and then the main Topolino magazine also published its own x mickey stories, long and short-form. there's so much to see!!

#and i will probably not ever get around to translating them all :( im only one person #BUT #my next project i think will be collecting and sharing all of the originals #an archive of them #i've been rounding up whatever I can find and i think i might manage to get a near-complete digital collection!! #exciting news for me and the handful of other fans out there! #and then others that wish to translate to their own languages can do it much easier with everything all in one place #i'm trying to find the nicest scans possible #if theres stuff i just cant find online maybe I can find a seller and scan them myself hmmm #a lot to consider #chatter

I have the last of the official X Mickey translations queued up throughout the month, and I'm working on getting the rest of the main issues translated!

#i wish there was a faster way for me to translate #it doesnt help that i take several month long breaks in-between #i completely forget what was going on and what little italian i know #also theres so many weird monster names and magic-y spells and stuff its really hard to figure out if words are like referencing something #or if theyre just silly sound-words #but its okay i do this for fun it doesnt need to be perfect :) #theres a lot of fun side stories too that were never translated #which i like to do inbetween main plot stories but i should probably just focus on main ones huh
