Thinking about making a Percy Jackson Fanfic where I just write all the solangelo whump and angst I think ab 🤔🤔
Pls like this list if you like any of these ideas so I know if anyone would be interested!!
Mainly Will Whump bc I don’t see that enough but here’s what I’m thinking of:
Sensory overload Will with Nico there to comfort him
Will using the supersonic whistle and accidentally hurting himself, Nico helps him
Will overworks himself and gets very sick out of nowhere, Nico nurses him back to health
Will has a seizure
Nico can shadow travel, and Will discovers he can light travel in a panicked moment and it takes so much out of him and leaves him very messed up, Nico cares for him and comforts him after
Will refuses anything is wrong with him mentally, because he needs to be seen as strong to be a successful head medic, but then has a flashback of the battle of manhattan and convinces himself everyone around him is a monster and almost hurts Nico
Solangelo cuddle session where Nico discovers some scars and asks about them, Will finally opens up about the dark parts of his past
Will has a severe asthma attack
Nico helping will set his broken bone
Will has a horrible nightmare and seeks Nico out way past curfew to get comfort
Injured Will, who got injured protecting Nico from a freak attack at camp, so hurt and delirious from blood loss that he doesn’t even recognize Nico and Nico has to be taken away by other Apollo cabin members so they can work
Will has chronic pain from a previous injury that he’s never mentioned to Nico, but he can’t hide it anymore during a really bad flare up
Will suffering from borderline frostbite after passing out during the winter from lack of exposure to the sun
Something bad happened to the Apollo cabin and Will has been strong for too long and breaks when Nico asks how he has been doing, because he’s so drained that he just holds onto Nico and doesn’t let go and it’s the only way Will feels safe in the moment, evolved into a panic attack
Will acting as the camp therapist while working in the infirmary and getting triggered when someone tells him something while he’s off work, he ends up freezing and breaking down, only Nico is able to calm him down
Will and Nico fight, and Nico gets so angry he starts grabbing Will, shoving him, yelling at him, and it’s only after a moment of silence for Nico to catch and calm himself he realizes Will’s eyes are glazed over and he’s only half hiding his sobs

Prompt; Nico can shadow travel, and Will discovers he can light travel through a moment of panic and it takes so much out of him and leaves him very messed up, Nico cares for him and comforts him after
Triggers; vomit, brief violence, mentions of blood, panicking

Breakfast had been quiet. Most of the campers were gone due to the academic year starting up again, and the ones that stayed were still sleeping in. Will knew that wouldn’t last long though, Chiron would get the head counselors of each cabin to go bang in the doors, waking any remaining sleeping campers. But Will was one of the last children of Apollo at camp and would stay that way until the school year ends, unless they got any new campers. But until then, he basked in the rare quietness of the dining pavilion.
Nico was up early for once, able to enjoy his meal at his boyfriend's table thanks to the extra space now available. Austin had left a few days prior, the majority of the other siblings had left over a week ago, and the newest, youngest member of the Apollo cabin (who Will was growing extremely fond and protective of), Simon, had left that morning to start 3rd grade. So currently, it was just Will and Kayla. Only one of which was partaking in breakfast, much to Will’s displeasure, but that could be a sibling scolding moment for another time.
Everything was working out for once. There were no quests, camp was safe, the infirmary was slow. Will finally felt like he had a chance to catch his breath.
Will’s hand found its way to Nico's and ran a thumb across the back of his hand absentmindedly.
It truly was a perfect morning. Nice and warm, the sun was out but there was still an occasional cloud.
“How’s your breakfast?” Will asked, just wanting to spark a conversation.
Nico glanced up, “It’s camp breakfast for sure.” He spoke with a shrug, “I think my oatmeal is fermented.” Will knew it was supposed to be a joke but unusually the dark color of Nico’s oatmeal made the statement quite possible.
“Maybe you should bring that up to Mr. D, he might be able to-” Will was cut off by a large thump. Much like someone, or something was taking a step and tripping. Will glanced around, no one else seemed to notice, or if they did, they weren’t alarmed. Even Mr. D and Chiron were still chatting away at the head table.
Will cleared his throat, “Anyways, I think Mr. D could-” another thump, thump. A fork fell off one of the tables making a soft clanging sound as it hit the floor.
This time the head table fell quiet. Chiron looked up, brows knitted together.
A daughter of Hephaestus was sprinting towards the pavilion, Nico made some quip about “someone being excited for the most important meal of the day”, but Will didn’t laugh, because as the girl got closer, the fear etching her face became more evident and clear.
Will stood, half expecting to be told about some rock slide or something near the coast and a large list of causalities or injuries that would take over his day, but instead he heard her scream,
“HYDRA! HYDRA IN THE CAMP, BY THE WOODS!”
“A Hydra? Inside the barrier?” Will heard Chiron say. Looking around, he saw all the campers that had gotten up early for breakfast rushing to get equipment and armor.
He looked up at Nico, “Go time?” Nico asked,
“I knew a quiet peaceful breakfast was too good to be true.” Will sighed.
Nico had grabbed his sword and Will grabbed a bow and quiver, sure archery wasn’t his strong suit, but he much perfected it to close range combat.
Even the long range combat wasn’t his first choice, but by the time the duo and a few other campers arrived at the edge of the forest, Will saw Kayla already acting as a field medic. She was quickly tending to cuts and burns, probably because whoever was trying to deal with this Hydra clearly didn’t know which head to cut off and now there were 12, all thrashing about, lighting trees on fire and trampling anything in its path.
Will felt a sense of proudness bloom in his chest as he watched Kayla work, but he couldn’t let the feeling distract him.
Will and Nico made eye contact, and knew exactly what to do.
Nico made a B-line for the Hydra’s tail while Will hung back and loaded his first arrow. He made eye contact with the Hydra, assuming his bow directly at its main head, before shifting at the last second and shooting the arrow above the Hydra rather than at it. The Hydra seemed to slow for a moment, confused as to why Will didn’t try to kill it right then, but the arrow soared above the Hydra’s head, completely missing, which is good because that’s exactly what Will was aiming for.
The arrow, which just so happens to be a trick arrow, exploded with a bright display of colors, much like a firework.
The monster stumbled back in confusion, and Nico took this as his opportunity to jump onto its back with his running start, following its spine to help decipher which head was the middle head.
The Hydra thrashed, feeling the weight of a demigod on its back, and Will shot another arrow. This time, it was a regular arrow that lodged itself in the cheekbone of one of the outer heads. He quickly knocked another arrow and shot it again, now in the knee.
Nico was now holding onto the back of the neck attached to the central head, the monster stumbled back a few yards into a clearing, trying to get Nico to fall, but in response, he took his sword and severed the head at the base of the neck. As it fell to the ground, Nico landed on both feet and his eyes caught the movement of a figure trying to hide behind a tree.
“Who’s there?” He called keeping his sword drawn, as the figure, now identified as a young camper, stumbled out, toppling over.
Across the small clearing, which was now covered in golden monster dust and blood, Will saw no sign of any more monsters, except for one… kind of.
Nico has his back turned, away from where Will was currently positioned. He was crouching, helping a younger camper stand. Will recognized them as a son of Hermes, around the age of 11. His name was James. He was new to camp this summer but didn't have any family to go home to, so much like Nico and Will, he was a year-rounder. He must've been caught in the crossfires of the fight.
He didn't look injured, just shaken up, and Nico was in the same boat apart from a small cut across his left arm he must’ve got while climbing the Hydra.
Behind them, the final disembodied central Hydra head was still in the process of disintegrating, but since it hadn’t, it still had the ability to light fires.
Will could see the smoke coming from the Hydra’s gill like structure along its jaw and cheek as it prepared to torch his boyfriend and the young camper.
His feet felt heavy, as if they were rooted into the ground. His heart sank. He didn't know what he could do.
He could yell, but they were just a little too far for that to seem feasible. He could use his supersonic whistle to disorient the Hydra, but without giving Nico or James a heads up, he could permanently damage their hearing as well. He could also use the bow to hopefully distract the Hydra so Nico could get out of there while it finished disintegrating, which would've been Will’s plan A, if he had any more arrows.
So it left only one option, try to get to them first.
He dropped the bow and let the quiver fall off his shoulder. He broke out into a sprint,
“Will! What are you-”
It was Kayla, “I have to try!” He said, hoping she would get the hint.
Will’s feet hit the ground hard, he had never put so much effort into getting somewhere this fast.
The smoke from the Hydra darkened, it opened its horrendous jaw, wide, tilting itself back just a bit to really center Nico and James in its line of fire.
Will was so close, he could feel his heart racing and a pit of anxiety growing and growing in his stomach. His ears were ringing with adrenaline.
Nico looked up, giving Will a small smile,
“Nico, look out!” Will cried.
Nico turned around, almost face to face with the Hydra head. He seemed frozen, barely moving except for how he grabbed James by the shoulders and pushed his back against Nico’s own chest, turning and bracing for the worst.
He was just barely out of arms reach when Will saw the first spark come from the Hydra’s mouth. He could almost feel the cotton of Nico’s shirt brushing his fingertips when he lunged forward wrapping his arms around both Nico and the young camper, James.
In slow motion, Will could feel himself connect with the two others, and see flames start to ignite to his right. He felt a tug in the pit of his stomach, a tug similar to what he feels when using his powers to glow, just in a new location and with much more intensity than normal.
In his desperation, Will leaned into the feeling, and was quickly enveloped in a blinding white light. It was warm, almost unpleasantly so, and he felt as though every molecule in his body was being displaced then put back together again. His limbs felt like he just got finished with a 24 hour non-stop work out, or at least what he thought were his limbs, because right now, he didn’t have much perception of anything. It was disorienting, nauseating, and utterly exhausting.
The blinding light was gone in a flash. Will couldn’t tell if it took hours or was over in the blink of an eye. He expected to hit the grass next to the Hydra head and then feel the blistering heat pass above them, but it never happened, and instead of grass, they skidded and rolled across rough and dry dirt. The two fell out of Will’s arms and Will stopped rolling and settled on his right side.
“Will?” A voice called, and he was pushed to lay flat on his back.
Will’s mouth was insanely dry, and his stomach flipped. Stars danced across his vision, even with his eyes shut as tightly as they were.
“Will, oh my gods, did you just- oh my gods, Will.” The voice next to him panicked.
He felt his chest heaving, every breath he took was painful, each wheeze dragged through his lungs like sandpaper.
“Oh my gods! Go! Run! Oh my gods- Kayla! Go get Kayla!” The voice yelled, hopefully to someone else because Will was in no shape to go and get someone right now. He wasn’t sure who was talking to him right now, but the fear that laced the voice above him made his stomach churn. He tried with all his might to sit up, or open his eyes, and he was able to get one cracked but all he saw was a blurry mess of colors, and his eyelids felt as if they had thousands of tons of bricks weighing them down, so they closed almost as soon as they opened.
He felt cold hands envelop his cheeks, “Stay still, it’s ok now. We’re safe. I got you, I got you,” Will tried to move his arms, to put his hands on the ones on his face, but his limbs felt heavier than lead.
“You saved us. Gods, Will, you never cease to amaze me.” The voice sounded so genuine, Will wished he could place who it belonged to, so he could thank them later.
“Just keep breathing, Sunshine. Oh my gods I can’t believe you did that. You’re so stupid.”
The thumb on his cheek left rubbed back and forth in a comforting gesture, though in Will’s mind it was acting mainly as a distraction from the sheer amount of pain his body was in.
He needed someone to do something, he truly felt like he was about to die.
“Help-” Will managed to croak out, using way more strength than he anticipated.
The figure above him made a pained sound, “I know, I know, trust me, I know.”
Will forced himself to open his eyes again, squinting in the bright light of the sun as the figure above him slowly came into focus,
“Nico,” He said,
“Hi,” Nico’s face became more detailed, his eyes looked red and puffy, and tear tracks lined his cheeks.
“Nico,” Will said again, this time more gently.
“No, don’t make this about me right now. Gods, Will, you’ve never scared me like that before.” Nico hiccupped.
Will studied Nico’s face for a second, he could hear the sound of rapidly approaching feet, his stomach churned and he felt a rising sensation in his throat.
“Throw up,” Will muttered, Nico quickly got the message and helped Will sit.
Will was hunched over, palms pressed into the dirt, heaving up every little thing that was in his stomach as Nico rubbed his back.
“Nico,” Will started, for the third time after he finished throwing up, feeling a little more life return to his body, “How do you do that so often.” He managed to say,
Nico let out a wet laugh and helped Will lay back down, “How did you manage to shadow travel- or, I guess light travel, for the first time, and manage to take two people with you? All the way across camp?” Nico questioned, brushing Will’s curly golden locks out of his face. They were sticking to his forehead, he didn’t realize until now but he was absolutely drenched in sweat.
Another person dropped to their knees next to him,
“Will, are you ok?” She asked, frantically, hands hovering over him like she was afraid touching him would make it worse.
“Kayla,” he smiled, breathing out,
“He- he light traveled, three people, including himself, all the way across camp. That was his first time as far as I know, it technically wasn’t far, but the load of taking three people? It really really didn’t look good.” Nico filled in, voice shaking slightly.
“That’s not really in any textbooks or the infirmary training,” Kayla took a deep breath, “If anyone knows shadow travel, or light travel, or whatever, it’s you.” There was a beat of silence, “What does he need?”
Nico thought for a moment, “Nectar, to help repair any internal damages and help him get his strength back up. Cold rags, one for his forehead and one for the back of his neck, he probably has a pretty high fever right now. Also snacks, his blood sugar is definitely way too low after that.”
And with that, Kayla got to work.
“You really scared me.” Nico said, “Did you know you could do that?”
Will was now safely in a cot in the infirmary, much to his incoherent protest.
“Did I know I could scare you or light travel?" Will joked lightly,
"You know what I mean. Did you know you had that power? Were you afraid to tell me? I thought we were telling each other everything now."
"I mean, no. I didn't know I had that power. I don’t even know how to replicate it. Maybe it was a one time thing, like because of the situation. But, I thought you shadow travel all the time, was it really that bad?” Will asked,
“No no, it’s not the traveling part that scared me. I’m talking about afterwards.” Nico climbed into the cot with Will, their faces only centimeters apart.
“When we landed, seeing you tumble so limply, and then not respond. And when I touched you, you felt so…” Nico paused and took a deep breath, “I could feel your life force slipping away. And there was nothing I could do.”
“I’m ok now though, Neeks. I’m ok, you’re ok, James is ok. I’m still here, you can’t get rid of me that easily.” Will finished, and Nico snuggled closer into his chest.

White Walls Closing In (Mediwhump May 2023, Day 7 First Night In Hospital)
This fic contains hospitalisation, mentions of a benign tumour, mentions of future surgery and an underaged whumpee. Please read with discretion.
As a Son of Apollo, one could have thought that Will Solace would be comfortable with hospitals.
He could spend entire days at the Camp Half-Blood infirmary and in fact he had done just that countless times while looking after the sick and wounded. If anything, Will felt at home surrounded by bandages and ambrosia squares, always having some task that needed to be completed or some Camper to talk to. The infirmary was familiar, it was safe. If he would be so bold, the Infirmary was his Domain.
But here? With the white walls and the whirling machines and the strangers who kept poking and prodding him as if his blood could have possibly changed in the last half hour? It was unfamiliar and unsafe and even if Will logically knew why he was here he still did not feel as though he belonged.
Nico nudged him.
"I'm thinking." Will claimed.
Nico didn't bother with a retort about how Connect Four wasn't that complicated of a game, waiting almost patiently for Will to make his move. Nico’s silence made Will want to claw his skin off for some reason and when the machine next to him started pipping loudly again Will curled his hands into fists.
Will intrinsically knew how to fix the machine, there was simply a kink in the IV line again and all he had to do was straighten it and acknowledge the alert. Almost every single thing in this building Will could sense, and if need be fix, because every singly thing had been made by a Child of Apollo that had been guided by the great God of Healing and yet when Will had tried to use that knowledge to fix the machine earlier, he had been yelled at by a particularly annoying nurse and told not to touch anything else.
The alert kept sounding, echoing in Will’s mind. He tried to focus on something else, anything else. Nico’s knee pressed up against his own, the pattern that was slowly being created in their game, the smell of the Hyacinth’s that Kayla had bought for him.
But the alert was too loud, it was too consistent. It was echoing, again and again, and he swore that it was the only sound that has ever existed.
Will slammed his fist into the table, knocking plastic coins everywhere.
Nico barely reacted, only pressing his knee against Will’s again but if anything that just made Will even more frustrated.
“What?” Will growled.
The Son of Hades stayed silent, dark eyes blinking slowly.
It's wasn’t like Will didn't know that Nico was just as uncomfortable as he was, it couldn’t be easy for Nico to be in a place that has seen so much death, but right now everything was just too much and Nico’s silence was just letting that infernal machine be all the louder.
Nico pushed the table off to the side and grabbed Will’s hand.
Will’s shoulders dropped.
“I hate this.” He whispered.
“I know.” Nico said.
“I’m a Son of Apollo. I should be able to fix this. I should be able to fix me.”
They had had this conversation before.
Over the years, Will has treated almost every single camper at Camp Half-Blood. Some of their injuries were mere scratches or minor burns, things that faded away with a simple hum and some ointment. Others were more serious. Dislocations, broken bones. Detached limbs, even, thank you Paolo.
Will has literally brought more people back from the brink of death than he could even remember and yet for all that, Will couldn’t fix a stupid tumour on his stupid right lung. It was benign, at least as far as he could sense, but even benign things had the possibility of becoming malignant if left untreated.
If he could do the surgery himself he would have already done so. Kayla and Austin had confronted him long after Will had already sensed the tumour, both of them intrinsically knowing that something was wrong with him but as much as Will begged them to keep it quiet, they had told Chiron.
And Chiron had told him to go to the hospital.
It didn’t make any sense; Even if Will couldn’t do surgery on himself, he would have trusted Kayla and Austin with his care because they were children of Apollo too and with enough thorough instruction they could do what was needed.
Why go to a mortal hospital when they were literally the progeny of the God of Healing?
And why was that stupid machine still making that stupid alert and why hadn’t some nurse come in to fix it already?
Will let go of Nico’s hand, twisting around so that he could acknowledge the alert on the drip machine, readjusting the flow rate as he did so to make it go faster.
“Will,” Nico warned.
“It’s fine.” Will said. “I can tolerate it.”
The immunotherapy mixture they were giving him wasn’t quite chemotherapy but he had still been warned about the similar possible side effects and while he didn’t exactly want to experience nausea or fatigue, he could not stand the idea of trying to sleep with the IV still in not that he thought he could sleep here anyway.
Someone cleared their throat and Will scrambled away from the machine, making it start alerting all over again.
Doctor Storey came over, acknowledged the alert and reset the flow rate. She did not bother to admonish Will, another conversation that had already happened countless times just in the few hours he has been here for.
“Mr. di Angelo,” She said instead. “I’m afraid visiting hours are over for the night but you’re more than welcome to come back at nine am tomorrow morning, pre-op doesn’t start until eleven.”
Will had known that this was coming and yet his blood still ran cold at the thought of Nico leaving him. He looked up sharply at his boyfriend who made no attempt to stand from the bed. Maybe he was going to stay after all, maybe he was going to intimidate the doctor into breaking the rules and maybe Will wasn’t going to have to spend his first night in hospital all alone after all.
Nico leant forward and kissed Will’s forehead gently before pulling away and standing up.
Will refused to watch him go, even when Nico hesitated at the door, focusing instead on holding back the tears that were building in his eyes.
“I’m just going to check your vitals one more time and then you can get some sleep.” Doctor Storey said.
“My vitals are fine.” Will shot back. “Blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, all within normal range. You can go now.”
“Will,” Doctor Storey sighed. “I know you said that your father is some kind of Doctor, but right now you are my patient and I need to treat you like all of my other patients.”
Will did not want to be angry with her. He didn’t like to be angry with anyone and like she said, she was just trying to do her job. But he was the Son of Apollo and as such he knew exactly what he was talking about because this was his body and he knew everything there was to know about himself.
Doctor Storey did her checks anyway, confirming that surprise surprise his levels were all normal.
“Rest,” She said. “Tomorrow is a big day.”
It took all of his willpower to not roll his eyes as she at last left him.
The room immediately felt too big, the white walls stretching on forever while at the same time feeling like they were closing in on him. His attention bounced between all of the things around him from the small couch below the curtained window to the too bright lights above him that Doctor Storey had supposedly dimmed on her way out to the immunotherapy concoction that bled into him so infuriatingly slowly.
These weren’t even his own clothes, it was a thin gown that somehow both dug into his skin and didn’t feel substantial enough.
While ADHD often helped during battles, not to mention allowing him to juggle the treatment of multiple patients at the one time, right now it was doing nothing but giving him nothing but hell.
If only to try to let out some of the energy that was so suddenly bubbling within him Will increased the flow rate of his IV once again but that only took a moment and he was left wanting to claw his skin off in the too loud silence that followed.
The curtains were closed.
That would be something he could fix, he could open them up and maybe that would distract him long enough to forget everything else because even if his Dad wasn’t actually here at least Will would be able to sense his presence in the Sun.
He scrambled up off the bed, nearly overbalancing as the world spun around him.
He pushed aside the dizziness, knowing that he was just imagining it given that just hours before Will had been feeling perfectly fine. Gripping onto the machine that the IV was hooked through, refusing to look at the yellow fluid that was flowed within it, Will went to the window.
Will had to reach across the couch to get to the curtains but he didn’t care, suddenly desperate to have them open no matter what.
A small part of him had already known what he would find and yet the rest of him still wanted to cry when he saw that the Sun had already fully set with the moon having already taken its place and while Will knew that the Moon was still connected to him in a way, it was nothing compared to the Sun.
Will felt drained suddenly and his knees buckled but he did not fall, a hand gripping onto his elbow.
“Falling for me already, Solace?”
Will was so happy to see Nico at all that he didn’t mind the cheesy line and instead just thew himself at the smaller boy and hugged him. After a moment, Nico’s arms wrapped around Will just as tightly and they stayed there before Will at last felt strong enough to pull away again.
“I thought you left.” Will said, trying his hardest to keep the hurt from his voice.
“Of course not.” Nico said. “I just had to wait a few minutes before shadow traveling back. Are you… Okay?”
“I am now.” Will said. “So, are we going to hatch some exciting escape plan or what?”
“Will.”
Will dropped his shoulders, taking in a deep breath. Even doing that much made Will’s head spin a little and his healing powers alerted him of the tumour that he already knew was there and if that wasn’t annoying enough the machine he was lugging around started screaming at him again.
Will adjusted the line quickly and acknowledged the alert, and if he muttered a curse as he did so then that was his own business.
Nico chuckled, reaching out and grabbing his hand.
“It’s going to be fine.” Nico said.
“I know.” Will said.
“And I’ll be with you the whole way.”
Will felt warmth bloom inside his chest and he squeezed Nico’s hand back tightly.
“I know.” He said. “I love you.”
“I love you too so get back into bed before I have to drag you there, you look exhausted.”
If Will was being honest, he was exhausted. In order to be here and get the treatment he needed, Will was going to have to relinquish all control over his own body and he hated it. He hated that he couldn’t fix this himself, he hated that even now he could sense the tumour nestled deep in his lung, he hated that there was nothing he could do but accept the help of mortal doctors.
Will once more readjusted the flow rate on the drip, setting it back to the right rate that would keep the worst of the side effects away.
It was going to take time to get used to being in the hospital, just like it was going to take time for him to fully recover from tomorrows surgery.
Nico guided Will to the bed and while Will was strong enough to walk by himself, it felt nice to trust Nico to set the pace. Once Will was lying down, the exhaustion suddenly weighed heavily on him and Will had to fight to keep his eyes open.
“By the way,” Nico said. “I brought you something.”
He held out a small ball and when it lit up a warm gold, Will found himself falling in love with Nico di Angelo all over again.
“A night light.” Nico said. “For a Night Light.”
While this was just a hospital room and not the pits of Tartarus, the small orb still made everything feel a little better and when Nico crawled into bed next to Will, holding him close, that made Will feel a little bit better too.
And, when an hour later Nico had to stumble out of the bed and into the shadows nearly face planting in the process as a nurse came to check on Will again? Now that definitely made him feel better.

Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"
And I'm like...
A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?
B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.
C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.
Yall are wilding.

Armored whump
- The heavy clunk of a Whumpee in armor brought to their knees.
- A sword slammed into the ground in an attempt to keep themself from falling right over.
- Arms trembling as they try to keep themself up, the weight of their armor pushing them further down, bearing on their bruises.
- They're already succumbing to gravity. They're panting, barely holding on, leaning heavily on their sword, or their staff, their lance.
- Making the effort to use it to push themself to their feet again, pulling the sword back out of the ground, swooshing their lance as they find the strength for another round.
- The sound of a sword clanking against stone when it's twirled out of their grip or when they no longer have the strength to hold it.
- A sword kicked away. Or worse, a heavy boot crunching down on it just as Whumpee manages to close a hand around the hilt.
- The soft clinking sounds of defeat drawing nearer when the enemy approaches slowly, fully aware Whumpee is already defeated. Metal crunches with each step. Armor jingles with his soft movements, when he crouches down in front of Whumpee.
- The tip of a sword scratching along over metal, teasing over their chest plates until it finally finds the weak spot of the armor and slowly pushes through.
- Also, armor is heavy :) Give me exhausted armored characters, dragging themself along. They are supposed to stay ahead of the rest, be their shield... but every battle and by now every step has been wearing on them. And it won't take long before they'll just collapse.

Whumpee awakens curled in the backseat in someone's arms.
They look down, their entire torso is drenched with blood.
They start to panic, but someone holds them tightly. "Shhh, shh sh, it's okay, go back to sleep. Close your eyes." Someone grabs a blanket and covers their chest with it.
"You're going to be fine, I got you. Go back to sleep... Please."
A hand brushes over their face and closes their eyes. Whumpee finds themselves doing what the voice tells them to.

did anyone else ever find it odd how easily zeus offered percy godhood? and how it almost seemed like he secretly wanted percy to accept? well i did, and after thinking long and hard about it…
i don’t think percy understood what turning down godhood really meant
demigods do tasks for the gods because they don’t have to follow any rules. they aren’t controlled by anyone or anything. demigods are a strange hybrid - not god, not human. they are in between the laws of immortal and mortal. they are not supposed to exist. yet they do, which is what makes them so extraordinary.
percy is crazy powerful. of course, there’s the aspect of raw power. he has domain over air (storms/hurricanes), land (earthquakes and volcanic eruptions), and sea (monster waves, tsunamis, floods, basically anything that involves water.) he can control bodily fluids. he has super strength (with one hand, he held up an unconscious annabeth who was being pulled down by both arachne AND the forces of tartarus). he has super speed (he moves faster than bullets in TTC). no matter how badly you hurt him, he automatically heals and regenerates the second he touches water (an ability no other demigod has). he’s an extraordinary swordsman. very skilled in combat and warfare. he’s smart, and thinks of plans quickly. but he also has a great deal of social/poltcial power… i mean, he’s a leader and hero to both the greek and roman camps. if he says “attack,” all demigods, greek or roman, attack. no question. do you have any idea how threatening that is to the olympians? he’s also best friends and has an empathy link with the lord of the wild, which basically means all of nature is by his side too, including all land creatures. he’s also prince of horses, which means pegasi too (both of which are extremely useful in battle). and of course all sea creatures, including the mythical ones like krakens and leviathans. not to mention many of the gods really like him. hermes, hephaestus, athena, aphrodite, and dionysis have all gone out of their way to help him. artemis holds him in high regard, especially since he saved her. apollo literally considers him his friend! and poseidon - his dad, the god who is the biggest threat to zeus - is fiercely protective of him and cares about him a great deal. many minor gods also like him because he demanded them to be given more respect and for their kids to be welcomed at the camps.
percy unknowingly has more power, both physical and social/political, than anyone should ever have. he may have absolutely no idea, but it must scare the living daylights out of zeus. by accepting zeus’s offer to become a god, percy would have submitted himself to the control of zeus. zeus would be his king and ruler. zeus would then have complete control over him.
but percy said no. therefore, percy remains out of zeus’s control.
percy had no idea what he was doing. but thank the gods he made that choice. thank the gods he’s an incredible person. thank the gods percy jackson has no desire for power, because he has more of it than anyone should ever be able to have.

Hi how are you I'd like to request a writing piece in which whumpee passes out right in front of caretaker plzzz
Team Leader's speaking, but Caretaker's eyes are focused on Whumpee instead- the way they're stood, shifting uncomfortably on their feet, complexion far paler than it ought to be. They aren't doing well. It's painfully obvious.
Caretaker should have said something sooner. They should have pulled Team Leader aside before this whole meeting started, before the whole team was gathered as an audience for Whumpee's slow descent in health. They should have-
Whumpee shifts on their feet again, except this time a shaking hand comes up to swipe at the perspiration gathering on their forehead. Somehow, they've grown even paler in the last few seconds. They blink quickly, evidently trying to shake the uneasy sensation within them, but it doesn't appear to do much at all.
"Whumpee, are you listening?" Team Leader's voice suddenly grows sterner, their explanation interrupted.
Whumpee blinks again. Sniffs. Clears their throat. "I- yes... sorry, Team Leader."
"Thank you. Now, as I was saying..."
Caretaker directs a sympathetic glance towards Whumpee, hoping perhaps they'll finally own up to their own indisposition and excuse themselves. Or at least understand that somebody out there is looking out for them, and knows they're not feeling great.
Whumpee doesn't acknowledge the look, though. In fact, they're not acknowledging anything anymore. A slight glaze has entered their eyes, and they feebly reach out towards a nearby surface for support. Nobody notices except Caretaker. Nobody's even looking at them other than Caretaker.
When Whumpee takes a deep breath, blinking quickly for the third or fourth time, it doesn't take a genius to know what's about to happen. Caretaker at last moves from their position, hurrying forward just as Whumpee's eyes roll back in their head and everything goes limp. The exclamations of concern and shock from the others barely even register to them as they lower whumpee to the ground, already fumbling to undo the tightly buttoned collar soaked through with sweat.
"It's alright, Whumpee. It's okay. You're alright."
From somewhere in the background, Team Leader is swearing. "Shit. I had no idea. I didn't- I didn't think-"
Caretaker can't help the way their brow furrows with frustration as they gently roll Whumpee onto their side.
Of course. Nobody ever thinks when it comes to Whumpee.

#18 Sickfic Prompts and Thoughts
Small blackouts. Not completely fainting to the ground but not completely there either. Character A is feeling incredibly under the weather and suddenly, character B watches as A falls into them, but becomes aware while B holds them in place.
Character B: Oh my god, are you okay!?
Character A: Mm... Uh- yeah.
Character B: Right. Maybe you should sit down.
Sickie maybe backs away in stubbornness, insisting they are fine. Maybe that was the domino before they fully pass out! Just the prefainting whump where something is definitely wrong!!!
