I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee. Finally the first recap of season 4.

Jenna said that after the season 4 premiere a few of them went to Darren's little hideaway (?) and he played drums and they hung out and they played music. It was so much fun.

The actors from the Ohio storyline and the actors of the New York storyline were on different schedules and they never saw each other. (That's what I suspected. We won't get bts stories about the New York storyline.)

Jenna and Becca are both friends with Dante. And Dante told Jenna that Becca got Glee and she should say hi to her. So Jenna very nicely went to the trailer and said hi to her and that they are both friends with Dante. And Becca was like, 'oh cool.' And that was it. Jenna was shocked and was like 'I went out of my way to be nice to somebody.'

Jenna said that Darren's songs in the courtyard always are really good. Kevin: Here's what's interesting. After hearing him talk about how the sun in the courtyard is and it's awful to film it. If you notice they put – he's in the shade. They put up these big filters above us.

Cringe moments: All the jokes about Marley's mom and all of them telling Unique to take of her face.

Best dance move: Americano

Darren had chipped blue nails yesterday and perfectly polished green ones today 😭 The thought of him taking off his nail polish and re-doing them when he got back to his hotel is so endearing, I can’t even paint mine that well

Darren has a lot of pratice painting his nails by now. I guess being in a toddler-free hotel room is relaxing for Darren. I'm sure he misses his little girl but still relaxing.

andymientus: What a week of riches seeing beautiful friends doing astounding work on Broadway and on tour. I’ve always said the way to survive this business is to remain a fan at all costs, and so many people I love gave me so much to fan out about this week.

.🐘Water for Elephants- I was moved to tears several times at the whimsy and poeticism of this show, in how it sounds and how it moves (those ACROBATS! Those puppets!). I was also very moved to see Grant return home to the stage and absolutely nail every moment.

I love Este acknowledging how adventurous they are. Darren and Mia are the kind of people I wanna vacation with. He says they literally plan out their itinerary to shove months worth of activities into 10 days. They’re gonna have so much fun traveling with their kids as they get older.

It seems like they’ve cooled down a bit which is understandable, but I used to wonder how they functioned. I still find it funny that Darren wasn’t into coffee until he became a parent.

I'm more like the opposite. I wouldn't be happy with the life Darren and Mia have/had. It's too bad that Darren doesn't post. They traveled a lot and what we know is just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm too under the impression that they cooled down. We don't see them that much out and about. I follow some of the Starkids on instagram and when some of them meet for a couples weekend or a gathering of friends, I always think Darren and/or Mia used to be there too. But they are the only ones with a kid so far.

I'm sure Darren and Mia are still doing stuff, we just don't know it.

I went back to the year 2021 and listened to another episode of That Thing I Do, episode: Viva Las Vegas.

Este: I think Darren and Mia are such couple goals. Because you guys really have this thirst for adventure. You guys are so kind like fly be the seat of your pants. And it's inspiring to me, because I don't have enough of it. (Este invited Darren and Mia to a festival in Las Vegas.)

Darren: I had just flown in from Nashville late night early morning.

Este: If you do make it back (in time) there are 2 passes with your and Mia's name on it, if you choose to take them.

Darren: Yeah, I mean when you think about it. Haim were playing before Green Day. (Este) just offered me 2 free tickets. I'm like yeah what am I doing? Of course. I'm not always be able to do this. When I'm working more, traveling, there are other obligations. It's like while we have this open pockets of time. Nobody sits on a bench at the end of their days going 'Man, I should have had less fun.' That's where we went and we had so much fun. Both me and Mia were so glad we went.

Maybe I'm reading to much into it. Mia was already pregnant at the time. So „other obligations“ could mean that they couldn't hop on a plane on short notice for a trip to Vegas once the baby was born.

I have something to add to today's podcast. Kalen left an answer to every comment on the pod's instagram. She is the first one who ever did that.

I only comment if I have something nice to say, because I think some of the guests might read it. I don't want another a fan episode, but it's not the fan's fault, if they get invited. So I don't comment.

Today I had something nice to say and to get an answer made me happy.

I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee. That was an interesting episode. I really enjoyed listening to it.

Kalen Gorman did the bts interviews. I watch them before I listen to the recap episdodes. I don't remember Jenna doing a lot of them up to the end of sesaon 3. I remember Kevin though. Maybe I blocked Jenna out of my memory or I didn't see some of the videos.

Kalen would get the scripts and read through them and I figure out what the musical numbers were. Then she went to Zach to get to know which numbers where interesting.

Kalen could tell when people had a bad day. It wasn't a problem, because there were so many of them so she could talk to someone else. Cory was the one who always that yes. Maybe because he was older and had done more tv, he was able to appreciate it more.

If an episode was just about one or two characters Kalen would talk to the others about the storyline. But she realized soon that this wasn't fair to them. Jenna said she stopped reading the scripts at one point anyway.

Kalen was protective of the cast and made them look good in the interviews.

What was the feeling Glee leaves you with? Kalen: It was this beautiful moment in time. I got to go to a set full of amazing people. Not just you guys but the crew. I can't even say enough nice things about the crew because we were in their way and they never ever made us feel bad about anything. And they were phenomenal. But just to go and watch people sing and dance and watch you guys having fun at the side. It wasn't like a job, it was a family. It was the best job I ever had.

Kevin said she was a one person department for so long and then Mia came on to help as well.

I don't think it will happen, but Mia would be an interesting guest. Her experience was different than Kalen's. She came in later. She already knew some of them socially as Darren's girlfriend. And Mia had to deal with the hate of some of the fans who didn't want her on set and turned everything into something negative.

The debate over whether or not they got legally married is a top #5 dumbest tinhat moment for sure. No, they didn’t attempt to illegally officiate their own wedding 🙄. They walked each other down the aisle, had friends speak during the ceremony (maybe alongside their vows but they might’ve exchanged those privately and used their friends to fill that space), and then their ORDAINED friend married them. What was said, and any traditions they did or didn’t do, is not something that needs to be public knowledge.

I remember them being pissed off at the state of Louisiana because they made it difficult to access vital records that weren’t your own. They’re crazy.

Darren’s chatty so his print interviews have gotten him in trouble a few times but the tinhats have zero reading comprehension.

Why would anyone even look for the marriage license? If people say they're married, I just believe it. I guess 99 % of times it's the true.

I think the main problem for the tinhats was that it wasn't a traditional wedding (and the "fact" that Darren is secretly married to Chris). Darren and Mia kept the traditions they liked and skipped others. I remember the tinhats being pissed that Darren and Mia didn't have a first dance, but a first song with a concert after that. The tinhats thought this was proof Darren didn't care. They don't know him at all. The fact that Darren planned that concert is proof that Darren cared.

For some reason I never understood what Darren meant when he spoke about the wedding in that ep until now. He’s saying they were legally married before the wedding, right? I know that’s a normal thing, I just glossed over it I guess.

I remember tinhats always questioning Darren when he’d make comments about the paperwork, that it was an insignificant thing to bring up and that he was saying marriage is just a piece of paper, but I thought the exact opposite. I always thought he was saying that marriage is not just a piece of paper that people sign and boom, that’s it. You’re legally committed, but it doesn’t make you emotionally committed. The contract can’t do that part for you and I think a lot of couples getting married thinking it will.

The tinhats thought Darren and Mia weren't legally married, because they had an officiant or no officant (don't remember) at the wedding and the team read their comments and Darren was correcting the narrative. Like they are that important.

I always assume that print interviews are shortened, because Darren gives looong answers. If anything sounds a little weird, I assume that's the reason.
