It’s been awhile!

So I’m not ~back~ or anything (sorry!) but I just wanted to give a little life update.

I was scrolling through this blog trying to find a specific post of mine (I found it lol) and realized all the random posts unrelated to Hunters never got follow-ups. So if you’re interested keep reading, if not that’s fine but I will go into my plans for this blog at the end of the post so feel free to skip there XD

Update one is I got diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel. It’s not been fun, it’s also been about 8 months since

Update two is I was going to get back to this blog and writing except I had a job at a summer theatre camp and that was exhausting (I love kids but I didn’t have the energy to look after 12 in one room)

Third update is I’m back at school in creative writing and while it’s been pretty chill and hasn’t been super overwhelming I now write anything that isn’t assignment related sporadically and it’s normally my original works.

Also I turn 21 next week, that’s a thing.

PLANS FOR THE BLOG:

I’m gonna just,,, write the remaining one shots whenever the fuck I feel like it and then when they’re all done post one a day. After that, juries out on reopening requests. I just feel bad for leaving these requests in the dust

SPOILERS IN THIS POST

I was looking for S2 updates (no official release date yet) and the article went in to talk about the cast and who may come back. The first mentioned was ofc Al Pacino and the writer stated that the only way he'd come back is via flashbacks.

So they watched the show, but did they watch the show!?

Look at what they did with Ruth, Booty, and Murray. They all came back as voices in Jonah's head. They came back as hallucinations, paranoia, a representation of his PTSD.

I firmly believe that they will do the same with Meyer.

Al Pacino will come back as the voice in Jonah's head sinking him further into the darkness. He will become the devil on Jonah's shoulders while Ruth is the angel. He will become such a strong force that maybe eventually Ruth's ghost will fade throughout the season.

I've thought about this a lot, and obviously this is just a theory and I'm not the only one with them. I just don't think the writers would only do a flashback with Meyer when they could do so much more.

POST PLUS IS COMING, WHETHER YOU WANT IT OR NOT!

Despite the fancy survey, changes to the UI and TOS reveal we’re getting the service in the future whether we want it or not. Obviously, Post+ is a terrible idea that is trying to bank revenue on user content. Unlike patreon or onlyfans, tumblr’s primary focus is on FAN content. The legality of this is NOT in the users favor and as the new tumblr TOS states, said users will be entirely liable for whatever legal matters arise.

SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Besides filling out the survey, it’s time to show tumblr we mean business and show our displeasure by hitting them where it hurts.

Ad revenue.

We’re proposing a 24 hour log off as phase one of this protest.

Full disclosure, and I apologize, but my Hunters hyperfixation fizzled out.

Will I go back to the novel fic? Honestly I have no clue as ideas tend to shift and change, and fic writers like myself often disconnect so much from the story that it's too foreign for them to continue it.

Will I continue on with the oneshots? Eventually! Because I'm not super connected with it right now, my motivation to write for Hunters is just,,, non-existent at the moment.

The next hyperfixation could potentially happen in the next few days because Pesach starts on the 27th, and other than The Prince of Egypt I tend to watch Hunters if I'm in the mood for Jewish content around the holiday season. If not, I will likely hyperfixate on it closer to the S2 announcement/release and reopen requests then.

All in all, this isn't my "comeback" to this blog and I'm sorry it'll remain pretty inactive for a bit. I'm more focused on personal projects that are super exciting for me. I'll likely announce it on @samara-rani, but I'll reblog that post onto here because I'm really looking forward to this new chapter :)
