I’ll try to make this short..

The family went on a vacation for Lawrence’s birthday. Quickly we lost Frances, Liberty and Paola. It was sad. Zoey met Don at a gym and they hit it off right away, woohoo’d like bunnies and were pregnant. SO I figured, get them married. WRONG. The one thing Zoey didn’t know about her husband was that hes non-committal. OOPS. They fought a lot and got divorced after their daughter - Flora - aged up to a toddler. Zoey adopted Sebastion. Lawrence met Candy, a DJ, while out with his sister and they were fast friends. Honestly I thought Lawrence would end up marrying a man but they fell in love and were married. They have a son, Daniel. Zoey graduated college and began working as a freelance artist and started to date. OH also Shane passed her last birthday as she was aging up to a young adult. He was babysitting Flora so that was sad. Anyway, Zoey met Alice, a freelance photographer/single mom. They fell in love and I had room for Alice and her son Eric. They married. SO... I have 8 sims and 4 od them are children. Lord help me.

A LOT has happened...

Basically... My generation 4 sims are all almost children. It’s been a wild ride. There are 4 kids in the house... 4 KIDS! Can you imagine 4 toddlers in one house? 

Let’s be real, gen. 4 is going to be a mediocre lot but eh...

I’m convinced that Shane is secretly a vampire. He’s still alive and thriving.

Shortly after Frances passed, Liberty followed.

Lawrence and Zoey joined a fitness group and are making new friends. Zoey met someone at the gym, they went on some dates and even though Don is noncomittal it’s been working. They become pregnant and are to be married soon. Don invited Zoey and Lawrence to a club to hear the new DJ in town. Lawrence’s little geek heart is smitten and they begin to date. Candy moved into the Simpkins house after he asked her to be his girlfriend. Fast forward to New Years. Zoey and Don are getting married and Paola drops dead in front of Zoey.

... and Shane still lives. I swear he got bit and didn’t tell anyone 👀. Including me.

Frances died of old age today. I was so sure that Shane would pass first because well. he was born first and I’ve been getting notifications about his time ending before I got them for Frances. So... the heir of generation 2 has passed. Generation 3 is well. Zoey and Lawrence are both in school with side jobs.

I haven’t commented anything on Zoey yet in the gallery. She (and Frances) just recently had a birthday and has now aged up to a young adult. According to this legacy calculator I’m using even though she’s the first born of her generation, it’s been suggested that Lawrence is the rightful heir after Frances dies. Plot twist, Frances is suggested to be the heir. I always considered Shane to be the heir because he’s the first born of the founder, Alex.. I dunno. I think I should post some individual photos of them or at least name the photos below.

Anyway... back to Zoey.

She just aged up, she had been working on her art skills and just applied to university. I’m sure she’s a shoe in for UBrite but we’re waiting patiently by the mailbox to hear back. Here are some photos of her art that haven’t been sold.

Also I know she’s wearing Foxbury sweats but they’re her dads. I did the same with Lawrence. He wears his mom’s UBrite sweats to sleep even though I’m sure he’ll be going to Foxbury on athletic scholarship.

update:

Before my game crashed I built a basement that had all my sim’s things.. skill wise. It was like an underground gym with some other skill building stations and a home theater. It was kind of cramped but eh, I took it. I’m kind of glad I got to envision it another way. While the house was under construction I built a temporary garage in the back yard. It was ok for the time being. I rebuilt the top floor. I put two master bedrooms up top with a home theater and a skill space.. indoor gym, you get it. The house value went up a lot so it’s now valued at 224,375 simoleons. I mean, we’re already on generation 3 since Zoey has now aged up to a young adult. More on her in another post but here are some photos of the house.

My header picture is of the Simpkins’ original sims.

The Matriarch, Alex Simpkins, and her husband, Luis Elmore. I started them out as 2 sims living in the same space with nothing between them. They became friends, went to festivals together and eventually started dating. Soon enough, Alex was pregnant with their first child, Shane. They were so excited but were so wrapped up in life that they didn’t get married until sometime after that. Alex went into the education field and Luis wanted to go to college to study Culinary Arts. It was difficult at first. I personally had never played Discover University so it was a whole new world for Luis and I. With a new baby, college courses, work.. it was beginning to be too much and Luis failed his first term. He decided to quit his job and become a stay at home dad. Alex was making enough money to support them all. They were living in a small house I had built but soon had to move out because guess what? Alex was pregnant again!! Alex gave birth to a beautiful babygirl, Frances. Luis began the plans to build the family home and slowly but surely the Simpkins residence was built. It was a big house but I was getting attached to them and knew then that this was the family I wanted to move on with.

This is the Simpkins family currently. They held a dinner party with their friends for the New Year. My game crashed a couple days ago and I lost all the photos they had taken. First Time (not doing the challenge yet)

(A little background)

I recently just got out of quarantine. I’m very blessed that I had a lighter strain of covid19. What better to do with my time than play Sims!

I deleted all my past families as I hadn’t played in a year and wanted to start fresh. I didn’t think I’d actually move on with this family so I just randomized everything for my original sims; Hence the name Simpkins. This is by no means a legacy challenge. I’m currently playing with gens 2 and 3 but I’d like to get to the 10th generation before immersing myself into the actual challenge with a brand new Sim. I want to give a little background though as I don’t have any photos of my original Sims. That’ll be for another post to come.
