- Hating all the women who made a career out of having a hot body. Being is shape is hard, beauty is a weapon and auto promotion is hard work. 

- All the Mary-Sues, who exist because young girls everywhere want to be part of a story they love so much

- All the female characters I ever snobbed because they got in the way of my ship.

- Hating the color pink during my teenage years, when it’s actually a lovely color and what I resented was society’s pressure to perform femininity.

happy birthday, dean winchester ↳ january 24, 1979

I like how we all agree that: 

Dean woke up happy today and continued to be happy the whole day

he obviously woke up next to Cas, who was already awake because he is an early bird and Dean likes to sleep in. it’s like he’s compensating for all those years where he didn’t get enough sleep. 

so he woke up with his arms wrapped around Cas, with his face buried in his hair. he yawned lazily, Cas gave him a kiss and went to the kitchen for some coffee for the sleepy boy 

pancakes were for breakfast that day and burgers were for dinner

in the evening everyone came by for a little party. Jody, Donna, the girls, Charlie, Stevie, Garth with his wife and kids. even Rowena manifested herself for a moment. 

the was lots of food, pies and beer. and love, and gifts. 

there was karaoke and they were singing 22 by Taylor Swift but they changed the 22 to 42. Dean was completely embarrassed but by the end of the song he was singing it, too. the damn lyrics echoed in his brain until he fell asleep, he couldn’t get them out of his head. 

Jack made Dean a birthday card by himself. there was glitter, glitter and even more glitter on it. Dean barely kept himself from bursting into tears. 

other gifts included books and board games. Claire and Kaia bought Dean a Led Zeppelin vinyl, you know, one of those special deluxe collection edition, very rare and expensive. Dean told them they are insane for this but they said he deserves nothing less

when the party was over and it was only Dean and Cas in their room together, Cas sat down and gave Dean what little was left of his grace in a little vial, as a special gift

Dean was basically speechless and when he was falling asleep right next to the love of his life, he felt for the first time since they defeated Chuck that this is truly the beginning of the rest of his life. And there is still so much ahead of him.
