you can redeem one FE villain but the price of their redemption is a protagonist will be evil. exchange who for who and why?
I could take the complicated route of discussing how "evil" could be used merely as a descriptor of an action or behavior being morally wrong. It would certainly be interesting to go this route and interpret the prompt as merely asking to see what protagonist can be made to do evil things even if such things are done with good intentions. But since my time is limited, I'll stick to the colloquial meaning of turning someone into having bad intentions. In this case, I want to see what happens if I trade Hardin for Michalis in Shadow Dragon. Yes, that's cheating because we know what happens to Hardin in Mystery of the Emblem, but how would things turn out differently were it Hardin allied with Gharnef and Michalis was the one helping to keep Nyna safe and fight Gharnef off?

Which second gen lad will look impeccable in a 1) kilt, 2) high-waisted pants, 3) high hat and lorgnette? For science 🐱
I want to say Ares in the kilt, but Leif would probably pull it off the best.
High waisted pants...this is one I kind of want to say Seliph for, and maybe it would be him so he doesn't look like he's completely leg. But I'm going to go with Febail for this one.
Ced is the obvious answer for high hat and lorgnette so I think Ares should do it because it's funny.

congratulations, you are now a despot in askr. this means askr bends to your will, and the owl will be a quill unless you chill! but askr has no fridge, so of course you don't. now, what is: a) the first thing you will outlaw as a despot, and b) the first thing you will assign as mandatory as despot? [eg. ban swimsuit, but mandatory for bald old men like wrys]
Well, as tempting as the swimsuits thing sounds this would be in-universe. The excesses can be written off as artistic license, and it would be quite cruel to prohibit people from wearing what is most comfortable for them.
I think I would ban people from being weird about their love interests, except that it is mandatory for Aida to be weird towards Arvis if she ever gets summoned. She has every right to because of what Arvis did to her!

5 things Ced learns from Altena, 5 things Altena is grateful about Ced for
Ced learns from Altena that it's okay to have a life of your own. He doesn't have to have his life revolve around his sister or his mother. Altena is grateful that Ced lets her have a life of her own. They can live relatively independently from each other while still relying on each other when needed.
Ced learns from Altena that not everything that you need to know is from a book. Okay, I suppose this one is cliche, but it's not that Altena isn't smart - just that her smarts involve more than just academics. Altena is grateful that Ced is willing to try new things. He doesn't stick to his own interests; he tries what she likes even if it doesn't appeal to him.
Ced learns from Altena that it's okay to slow down and appreciate finer things in life. Altena is grateful that Ced isn't obsessed with material objects.
Ced learns from Altena that it's okay to be more vocal in standing up for oneself. Altena is grateful that Ced can stand up for himself without being hostile.
Finally, Ced learns that one doesn't have to be perfect in order to be good. And Altena is grateful that Ced is willing to admit that he has flaws.

You need to style a Jugdral noble and their retainer for a charity gala dinner (modern times). Who will you pick, and how will you dress them?
I think I'll pick Quan and Finn. And let's say they're at some kind of white tie event. Admittedly this is going to be boring but let's see...
Tumblr media
For Finn, I think this ensemble works. Especially if the flower comes from Lachesis. It fits him because he's younger.
Tumblr media
I think this gentleman's outfit is good for Quan because it makes him look more broad.

Flashfic #8: A modern AU with Cedtena
This idea has to be credited to a mutual, borne out of discussions over modern AUs with Jugdral characters. This is a modern AU where the Leonster characters all work at a company owned by the Leonster family (i.e. Quan). Ced's father here is Finn, though honestly it's not super important and it could easily be exchanged for Lewyn. Altena is supposed to be the next heir, and she's acting CEO because Quan was injured in an accident (caused by Travant).
Leif still fondly remembered the time when it was announced that Ced was going to be hired at the company. It was not long after Altena was installed as VP of Supply Chain at Leonster Limited. She had hired him, fresh out of college with his Master’s in Computer Science, to be part of the IT. He quickly rose to the ranks to becoming in charge of their new proprietary planning software, something which they were planning to sell to others…
In truth, Leif had known Ced for a while. He was the son of a longtime friend of his father’s, someone who worked very hard. He had even attended the funeral of Ced’s mother. And it was a joy to work alongside Ced. Nearly everyone liked him, and Asbel especially loved having him as a mentor.
So why is it that he was suddenly transferred to Business Development?
The message had been so sudden, an email that came in at 6 AM from the acting CEO herself, an unusually early time even for her.
Leif’s first stop was the office of Ced, the new Senior Manager of IT of Business Development. His question as to why the latter was moving was greeted by a sheepish grin. “I’m just moving to a new chapter in my life,” Ced replied. “A new chapter with more pay.”
Yes, it was true that Ced’s compensation was close to six figures now…but it’s not as though he couldn’t get a promotion with Supply Chain. But Ced put on a pair of earbuds as he began moving a box. A glint of something caught Leif’s eye, but he couldn’t piece together what it was…
Next was Asbel. Leif’s childhood friend was tight-lipped, though. He seemed to know why it was that Ced moved, or at least that a transfer was imminent given that he wasn’t totally surprised as Leif expected. Asbel pointed out that HR could at least be in the know.
And Nanna, the Head of Human Resources — and Leif’s wife — did confirm that Ced was transferred as a matter of HR policy. “You do know well that I can’t reveal HR issues that do not concern you,” she nagged.
“Pretty please?”
Nanna couldn’t resist Leif’s pleading eyes. (Few people can, in any case.) She leaned in towards him, a mischievous grin on her face, and said: “The acting CEO personally approved of the transfer.”
He practically banged on his sister’s office door. “Altenaaaaa!” he called out.
“Use your manners,” she said in an unamused tone when she opened the door.
“Wow, the Mondays must have finally gotten you.” Leif said this when he saw how unusually disheveled she looked, her hair a bit more frizzy than usual and her eyes bloodshot. He saw a glint of something again, but couldn’t make out what it was.
“It’s not that,” Altena demurred.
“Sister,” Leif asked, “why did Ced get transferred to Business Development? He was working so well with us. I heard that-”
“A husband and wife cannot work in the same department. You know that, Leif,” Altena replied.
Leif’s face turned blank. “What?”
His sister’s expression turned more into a scowl as she said: “Did you seriously not see that Ced proposed to me last night?”
“He did?”
He took out his phone and opened up his InstaFace. He scrolled through the timeline. It said:
Update: 10:37 PM - Ced Brave is now Engaged. Update: 10:26 PM - Altena Claus is now Engaged.
“Ohh,” Leif sighed. “How did I not see that this morning?”
Altena facepalmed so hard that one could hear the sound of her hand meeting her face. “You’re just as much of a dolt as Father…”

Congratulations, human, you have won the gift of Callisti Apple! You must hand it to a Jugdrali first gen, and I'll teleport you back to your world. See, I need to dispose of this apple somewhere. Getting tired seeing unending wars somewhere with magical blondes, curious giant horse, and some Helen from finance department!
I suppose if I can't dump it on another world to make it go to craziness, I'll just give it to...Let's just give it to Naoise. I'm sure it would be harmless in his hands.

a) Which Jugdral first gen trio wife who likely owns a sturdy cast iron skillet; b) and which one who isn't afraid to spank her husband with it if he neglects his household duties and forgets to change the baby's diaper for the fifth night of the week
All of them tbh. Yes even Deirdre, though Sigurd knows better than to neglect his household duties.

Dear Sir Finn,
It has come into my (shameless) knowledge that you are now working as a stay-in governor to Lord Quan's little offspring of siblings in this beautiful year of 1852. How do you plan to tutor both Master Leif and Miss Altena considering my (non-shameless) knowledge also whispered that you have no plan in revising the curricula to differentiate what to give them?
Regards,
Rose Blade.
Dear Rose Blade,
Who is this person that is whispering you these things? They are confidential to myself, Lord Quan, and Lady Ethlyn. I must find out so I can report it to my lord.
Your most loyal and obedient servant, Sir Finn

You have won a 3D2N Jugdral tour, all expenses paid by us, the Roseblade Inc. Congratulations! You can sightsee around a Jugdral country of your choice, and you can pick a Jugdrali companion to enjoy the tour. Some conditions apply: a) it has to be someone you must be comfortable sharing the room with. Of course you can request to have twin beds. b) you must choose either a Jugdrali to arm-wrestle, or a Jugdrali to run an errand for. Happy vacation, wish you all the best!
I think I would like to tour the nation of Thracia with Arion as my guide, since Arion seems nice, reserved, and grounded. I'll run an errand for Asaello since it's probably nothing crazy and he's probably not too demanding.

In a modern Jugdral, who do you think have the most typical/traditional household of the first gen trio and why? Can you see someone being a housewife?
This is a very interesting question. I think I'll handle the second question first. In a modern AU, I could see all three of them be housewives, but they'd have different conditions. Grahnye is a professional (let's say a recruiter for a tempstaffing agency that works with Eldigan's engineering firm) who agrees to take a step back from work for a couple years after Ares is born. But the agreement is that Eldigan is supposed to be helping beyond just financial support, and she's not going to tolerate playing stay-at-home mom for longer than a couple years (or at the very latest when Ares is old enough to go to school). Ethlyn I think is warmer to the idea, and she's young enough to where she probably wouldn't have been very far removed from college when she marries Quan. But she still bristles at having to entertain some others. Deirdre on the other hand is probably the most likely to be okay with it, so long as she's not super bored out of her mind doing it...but I think Sigurd still encourages her to do what she wants and maybe pursue opening a small business with flowers or something like that.
(Within the Jugdral universe itself, all of them would be expected to take that role. But I think Ethlyn is the most receptive to it because she integrates herself into Leonster very well. I don't think Grahnye is too well received by Agustria and Deirdre is a bit aloof because of her background as a peasant.)
For which household is most traditional...I guess in the sense of the woman doing the domestic work and the man being the breadwinner...I would say it's a sort of spectrum. Sigurd and Deirdre would gravitate to it not because they have a specific idea in their minds but because of the societal expectations of their roles, but Sigurd loves to help out with Seliph as much as he can. Quan and Ethlyn is probably the closest to this picture in the sense that Ethlyn lets Quan be the "head of the household" but she never lets him walk over her, of course. Grahnye is fairly assertive. And then you have Finn and Lachesis, where Finn is the one who becomes a househusband for a few years...
