with new hazbin episodes coming out rapidly, i thought i’d do a little recap for this week, episodes 5 & 6.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

episode 5:

charlie panics because nothings is working and she calls her dad as a last resort so he can get her a meetings with the heads of heaven. After about an hour of panicking, lucifer shows up at the hazbin hotel. alastair and lucifer have a bit of a battle regarding which one is more important to charlie. one of alastors old friends, mimsy, arrives however she has been chased by loan sharks. alastor fights them off and then firmly asks mimsy to leave. it is revealed that alastor also has sold his soul somehow, but to whom or why is still unclear. lucifer and charlie have a heart to heart after lucifer reveals he doesn’t want to let charlie go to heaven, and they make up for past years lost. after their moment together, lucifer is convinced to book charlie a singular day in heaven.

episode 6:

charlie convinces vaggie to go with her to heaven, which she begrudgingly does. they are greeted kindly at the gates of heaven, where they meet two seraphims, sera and emily. they agree to go to court, but adam and an excorsist spots them and get very angry. adam reveals that vaggie was once an excorsist before being caught helping a sinner escape and she was banished from heaven, where she was found by charlie. they go to court as they watch angel dust, who is out partying with nifty, husker, sir pentious and cherri. at first the seraphims are displeased, until they see how angel protected his friends and stood up for himself, checking off all the check boxes that adam listed in order for a human soul to get into heaven. adam panics, and accidentally reveals to everyone about the exterminations. emily is astounded, and everyone begins to sing and convince sera to let worthy sinners into heaven. charlie and emily sing together, as a team. sera shuts down the operation because of the chaos it caused. adam reveals to everyone that vaggie is a fallen angel, and charlie is astounded. they are promptly kicked out of heaven, and the episode ends abruptly.
