So this post was supposed to be about how spruce trees are great because they can turn moss into podzol which you can turn into dirt for renewable dirt faster than the azalea trick. However. Right now it's just eating all my bone meal.

I needed that bonemeal for texturing :(

The blueprint calls for texturing with birch planks but I will be texturing with bone blocks on account of goffik tendencies.

Birch logs are easy. No fancy tricks for these. I'm curious if putting flowering azalea bushes next to any of them could spawn bee nests, but I'm pretty sure the End isn't the biome for that. Either way, it's an experiment for later.

Future home of.... my future home, I guess. First chest down for materials. I have all the mushroom stems I need. Now to gather everything else. I'll update with more changes and mundanities as I go.

Deep in the recesses of my memory, I have recalled a blueprint made by one "Zaypixel" for a house I think will suit my needs. I will begin collecting the materials, but some modifications will need to be made. I think mushroom stems will look quite lovely in place of calcite, for example.

I've expanded my perimeter out enough to get too close to the end city. Took the chance to grab some chorus fruits and get out of there.

Welp I just lost a bee I'm not sure I can replace. Ah well! C'est la vie! And certainly c'est not la bee!

Committing to building with mushroom stems to procrastinate on actually building a base since I'm not great on building. I have a supply of bone meal from baked potatoes though so sourcing it won't be an issue.

Boy howdy that was a long nap I took! Almost like my life is being authored by some poor asshole who got struck down by a single migraine lasting three weeks!

Turning in early tonight? Today? Now. I'll get started on a house next time. Or at least setting up the farms for it. What do y'all think of bone blocks and mushroom stems?

Chicken hole men have been encased in leaves for their own safety.

This is the part I wanted to show you guys. In the words of the greatest pig I've ever known: Potatoes! They're a good vegetable! Baked potatoes have a great chance to compost, so along with being a nutritious snack, they're also a source of bone meal.

I got attacked by an enderman about 50 or so blocks away from my base and now there's only two chicken hole men left. I'm not entirely confident that they're actually trapped anymore. I hope they weren't too attached to the third guy.

Speak of the devil.... -_-
Looked at one of the chicken hole man by mistake, which he did not appreciate. I can now confirm that the chicken hole men are indeed trapped. At least they have each other. I'll give them a roof once he calms down. I will also probably have to dig a new chicken hole. Ah, well. Live and learn.

You know what's better than moss? A bee farm! Good to have some friends around that won't get mad if I look at them too hard!

It occurs to me that I may irritate the chicken hole men cutting down a tree right next to them. I'm not sure they can actually leave the chicken hole, but I'd rather be friendly with the neighbors. I think I'll give them a roof.
