since i see ppl following me and i dont want anyone to feel ignored/bad/etc, i’m mostly on spirit’s blog to fuck around with spirit saying shit to mephiles FVGBH 

not sure IF i’ll be back properly (i miss character dynamics/interactions and mutuals/pplp i admire form afar), spirit’s accidentally become pretty insular and As Ive Come To Learn, im insanely frazzled by having to talk to new and old people. that being said, ive had So Much Shit planned for spirit for years that i don’t think i’d feel satisfied carrying out in private entirely. ykno he was made on tumblr so it feels right to continue therein. 

in the event i Do come back it’ll likely be with the caveat that 90% of my stuff woudl be with minty (nothing. really changes come to think of it, it’s just more official than anything) and on a new blog bc i I Hate The Clutter . So Much. , spirit might poke at people (if allowed) but im not goood at plotting or talking, so it would just be a disservice to my writing partners

that last post was a lie im peeking in again because hey how fucked up was it actually that sonic n shadow started out as enemies at the start of sa2 then realized they were more similar than they expected and then bonded and fought together (a thing that hadnt been super common? up to that point in the games) and were constantly asking eachother if they were ok throughout and then shadow Dies, Suppossedly, and sonic presumably tries to grab him because he has the fuckin. inhibitor ring. how else did he get the ring. and he cant stop shadow from Falling and then he shows up and both of them pretend None Of That Happenned. hey how f

     “No worries here, you know that! Time is just... weird. I can never keep track of the stuff, ‘cause I usually don’t need to. Time’s the one who’s trynna keep up with me, after all. One moment it’s 2 PM and the next it’s the next day, and then I get caught up in somethin’, I get my second wind, and rinse and repeat.”

TEMPORARY OR NOT, he would not be going to a professional for a more permanent fix. That wouldn’t be him and frankly he cared little how poorly it healed. It was… self inflicted after all. Part of him bristled at the other even touching it. It was tender beneath the skin and he bit his lip to stifle a hiss that wanted to worm its way out. 

Ugh, he even flinched at the idea of a doctor. ❝ you know I adamantly hate hospitals and doctors. I would prefer a wonky heal then that. ❞

     “AND YOU KNOW THAT ISN’T gonna fly with me.”

     His eyes don’t leave the wound as he gently treats it. Sonic triees to keep his touch light and careful, only putting pressure where necessary. Despite his typical impatience and brash attitude, he doesn’t want to do a shoddy job here. If he can’t convince Ruby to go to a doctor, then this is the best medical care he’s going to receive for a little while. 

     “I know y’ aren’t a huge fan exactly, but s’ just a few busted fingers, I think. I don’t have x-ray vision, as cool as that would be, but it doesn’t look too bad. I don’t think it would take that long. We’d be in an’ aout before ya’ know it.”

     Sonic stops, for a moment, and his concern flashes in his eyes and shows in the small crease of his brows. He’s still casual enough about it, not wanting to make this uncomfortable for Ruby, but--

     “What happenned this time, anyway? You said it yourself, it’s been a while since I last had to play nurse.”
