at nighttime, as part of its normal day-night cycle, the body normally will produce ADH, which is short for anti-diuretic hormone; this conserves the water in your body because, well, you're sleeping, so it essentially makes your kidneys cool it for a bit and produce less urine!

if you're napping at a time you don't normally nap at, or your body isn't producing more ADH while you're asleep, then your kidneys will continue as normal! and especially if you just drank a lot of water, your body will want to get some of it out to maintain a proper blood pressure, so it'll actually decrease ADH secretion, meaning more water will be excreted in the urine!

sooo drinking a lot of water will cause your kidneys to work overtime to keep your blood pressure normal, even when you're asleep!

I have a request for Just Desserts! A male character (you choose, I don't know who would be best suited for this) is out in nature alone. He sits on a large fallen tree dangling his feet. He enjoys the view so much he doesn't want to get up to pee. He scoots as far as he can to the edge without falling, he let's his penis hang over his waist band and releases. the red colour of blood comes from the iron in blood reacting with oxygen. the iron in blood is part of a protein called hemoglobin (more specifically, heme contains iron); hemoglobin is the part of blood that binds and transports oxygen, so that's why we get the interaction between iron and oxygen that causes the red colour!

hemoglobin can and does get broken down in the body, so the question is, how do vampires process a blood diet? and.. I am not enough of a physiologist to answer this lol, but? if there's excess hemoglobin then some iron might be excreted via urine, and it might be a light pinkish sorta colour unless it's super concentrated?

so basically, if they are using all the iron in the blood they drink, probably not, but if there's consistently a surplus, then you might see pinkish reddish pee!
