JUSTIFICATION:

"Honestly it's just kind of a fun headcanon but there is a bit of lore to it and I want the jury opinion. Carl is presumably in his early teens and has a lot of shit going on. Basically his dad turned his mom and older sister into dolls and then when he messed up on his sister a little basically abandoned her (in a robot-doll body) and Carl to fend for themselves. Basically they're trying to get her back to normal. Understandably he hates his dad and swears up and down throughout the series that he will be nothing like him. Except this begins to become more of a conflict the more drastic lengths he goes to in an attempt to save his sister. After encountering his father a few times and doing some other complicated lore things with him that's hard to explain he seems to have kind of an identity crisis. I think becoming a girl would really nail in the "I'm not going to become my father" thing and Carl's dad actually does kind of suck even beyond the whole turning his family into dolls thing and I don't want Carl to become a mini version of his dad. Or at the very least we would have more twisted and evil girls in Blazblue which is always welcome." - Anonymous
