One implication of the fact that social media companies go out of their way to stoke hate and conflict is that everyone should probably get in the habit of thinking twice before diving into online controversies, because there's a very good chance that they're being deliberately taken out of context, exaggerated, or otherwise framed in an intellectually dishonest fashion

ok i was recently thinking of abeds age cus it intrigues me and ive come to some conclusions i need to share and okay hear me out .

we know only a few things about abeds age for sure

1) he repeated first grade

2) he bought drinks legally in communication studies (season one)

3) in season five jeff says that both abed and annie aren't 30 yet

and then it's implied that abed didn't go to greendale directly from hs the way troy/annie did, so we can assume at least one academic year between high school and college there.

so if we start at a default age of 18, then by repeating 1st grade he's 19, by taking a gap year he's 20, and by being able to drink he's 21.

so he's definitely <21 in season one but >30 by season five . so imo a reasonable middle ground is like 22 just so it's still appropriate for him to be fw both jeff and troy lol
