the “you remember my name right?” bit is funnier in the anime because I don’t think he told Laios at all. Like in the manga he introduces himself when he first meets Laios, but in the anime he just never mentions his own name so I really think Laios genuinely hasn’t heard his name yet.

its really fascinating making a video that blows up out of proportion at a massive delay just... by nature of that happening, but whats truly been interesting is the number of comments that are trying to tell me how I could make the work easier on myself or cut corners. i suppose they're trying to be helpful, and it makes sense since the content of the video is me talking about how I don't know what i'm doing, but there's very little acknowledgement or respect for the desire to do something for the joy of the challenge. i don't think i emphasized that at all, which is on me but... idk its interesting. im definitely not wording this the best i could be. there's a certain culture in youtube devlogs that focuses pretty heavily on making a dream game that's gonna make it big, and im not doing that, and that seems like it might be short circuiting something in peoples brains. the concept of doing something new for the fun of it just isn't there
