how do you approach dating as a catholic lesbian?

i have a strict rule of only entertaining relationships with people that bring me closer to God. i take that very seriously. and i have both dated Christians and non-Christians alike, that’s not an issue. it’s just that i’m pretty much only interested in dating fellow religious people.

to be 100% real, i have much more “trouble” dating as a femme4butch lesbian than a Catholic lesbian. cishets would be SO shocked to know how many queer women/lesbians are people of faith.

hot take: Miles and Gwen should NOT end up together during or at the end of Beyond the Spiderverse.

Hear me out, this is not anti gwiles at all.

I think as the audience we get to see the nuances of Gwen’s situation in ATSV and we sympathize with her and understand (well most of us). However, try considering it from Miles’ perspective.

Honestly, if Gwen put me through the crap she put Miles through (intentionally or not), it would take a LONG time before I gave her the chance to be close friends again, let alone dating.

I’m not saying gwiles shouldn’t happen. It can (it is a very cute ship) but it requires a lot of time and healing for both of them, time that honestly I don’t think BTSV is going to have. While I think the movie is probably still going to rush gwiles, I personally think honestly it would be better if at best it was hinted but not outright. But hey, we’ll see.

I think we should work on demystifying homestuck.

-It's not unapproachably long. If you can spend a month reading/watching whatever else, you can also spend a month reading homestuck without difficulty.

-If you pay attention you can understand it just fine. There's a lot of moving parts, but it's like a clockwork: if you don't get something despite paying attention, it will most likely fall into place later.

-There's filters for the desktop app in case you don't wanna see the era-typical edgelord humor of the first half, but honestly sometimes it adds to it. (The Future!ArachnidsGrip bit is good. Sorry.)

-It is flawed!!! That's true!! But this website is constantly on about how no media is irredeemable and how you should read things that make you uncomfortable and analyse why that is and still recognise the value in it.
