btw just realized it doesn't make sense lore-wise for Daan to say "geez" since it's an alternative form of "jeez" which comes from Jesus, so I'll probably replace it with "by Alll-mer" or something.

also yeah im trying to make the dialogue make sense in the same game where the demonic entity calls his new husk a "degenerate furry"

really happy about this, lil teaser for the next release, you'll be able to use Persuade on Daan in the overworld! i remember watching a while back a video about a guy that had this very same idea, but he never really used it in a mod, so here it is in mine! I'll have this in other interactions if I see it fitting. Also, I'll make sure to include mind reads, but I don't know If I wanna be done with all the dialogue and then add it later or add it now.

already started work on the white mold apartments exchange, this one is gonna take a while since I have to reconstruct the conversation instead of just adding a new one like in prhvl bop. also i have to make a conditional branch at the start of the interaction (the condition is your selected character being Karin of course) with an else branch at the end, so basically I have to copy the whole vanilla exchange line by line into that else branch and then start building the interaction. this one will only be available If you have already met Daan at the moonscorched village and he gave you his name.

by the way this is more or less the roadmap, in case you are interested

Karin MC alpha 1: prhvl bop alpha 2: white mold apartments alpha 3: intro and/or moonscorched village alpha 4: only if I didn't include both in alpha 3

Daan MC alpha 5: phrvl bop + levi's corpse (failed caligura interaction) alpha 6: recruiting spot alpha 7: Lake + Weeping Scope alpha 8: intro alpha 9: august day 3 temple district interaction (includes both temple district and the piano missing at prhvl bop)

By "intro" I mean after the initial cutscene plays and you can individually talk to Karin or Daan near the train.

that is about it really. please do remember that all of this will take huge amounts of time because of school, will speed up in summer of course. I don't intend to rush this or anything, I want to give it genuine love like the one I already hold for the ship.

The purpose of the alpha is to add the conversations. Beta will make the romance questline around the said conversation. Don't have plans for beta yet, I want to focus on the alpha for now. All I know is that I want to make it cute, and romantic. Kissing, cuddling, hugging. Would love that. A sex scene would be cool, although it would take tremendous amounts of time, most likely to be added after release. interactions with the couple outside of their POVs is also to be added after release.

just wanted to make this post to give you all something to look forward to, and to give the mod some purpose and structure. thanks for following me, i really do aprecciate it.

WHAT??? how did that happen i need to know. i got into it because a friend of mine kept sending me screenies of it back in september and kept telling me how awesome it was and i finally decided to give it a try and fell in love with it. then termina happened....

stuff like this is like if you stabbed me with your hand and started like gently rubbing my heart i can not take compliments i did not expect tumblr to be this nice. I will keep working on it don't worry!!! thank you so much for the kind words honestly. daarin gang we stay up.

got nothing done this weekend lol because RPG Maker MV crashed when i tried playtesting, deleting all my progress. i have been fiddling with the combat encounter mechanics so i might do something with that in the future. my main focus is still leaving the "not karin nor daan mc" interactions for the very end though. when i check out the poll results, I'll start working on the next update.

a lil extra, when u r playing as anyone but karin or daan you can go talk to either of them at the start of the game (after the day 1 screen appears) and give em a little comment about their rant. maybe also when they are together in the moonscorched village.

hopefully i can get it done in the weekend although i have to study. also im doing my O'saa genocide run atm so yeahhh. when i complete the above i'll release alpha 2

I still wanna give myself a bit of time off the mod, but I figured why not add some interaction with you guys.

I genuinely can't decide which because, I wanna do Daan MC at PHRVL Bop to just get PHRVL Bop mostly out of the way, but to playtest that I'd have to create a new Daan playthrough, get to the ruined streets to grab Karin, and then lead her to PHRVL Bop lol, or I could just do White Mold Apartments lol

wowee... i finished termina. i am honestly speechless, i spent 2 hours writing a review for it on steam. got ending A, not as satisfying as the endings from funger 1 to be honest but still. what a great game. and this is not even the end, i still have the two other endings, maso mode, all the others characters... and of course the daarin mod <3 it's going to be a while before I get bored of this game. honestly it has gotten to my top 6 favourite games of all time. i will NEVER forget this first playthrough. steam playtime: 55.9 hours

p.s. my fav thing no doubt is the combat, amazing improvement from funger 1 and the characters really grew on me although in general they lack a bit of depth compared to 1. the most developed ones are karin, daan, marina and o'saa imo, they interact a lot with the world and eachother. honorable mention to levi for being our little boy and marcoh for being op as heck, ive seen so many people pick him and complete the game fast and my goofy ass picked the character with the worst start lmao, still best girl though
