yes that's exactly it! she's not one for the theory of things as much as actually doing those things.

she would like a home to return to, but as of right now she doesn't have one (except in her oblivion verse... and even then it's temporary). she's probably the most fond of falkreath due to the forest, but whiterun is up there with the open plains and pretty parks that it has. least favorite... windhelm, or riften for the sheer corruption

religion is much more personal to her. she's not one to go around proclaiming the glory of stendarr, but she won't shy away from the topic if asked! while she holds all eight divines in high regard, stendarr and mara are the ones she most aligns with. julianos and kynareth are up there too. i'm curious to know the same for your muses!

she's very much for daedric abstinence but she's less likely to give a side-eye to those who worship the "good" daedra. someone following azura or meridia would get wariness from her, whereas someone following mehrunes dagon or vaermina would be either avoided or treated as a threat - but she'd address them all with caution no matter what, given that every single time she's seen mortals dealing with daedra, it's never worked out. (could be fun for a more hostile or antagonistic meeting between any of your muses that do worship daedra)

a starter sounds great! and i like the ideas you have for Alexandros, those could be both fun and funny

Is Eilyrie not a very... idk, studious? personality then - I guess, not that she isn’t interested in learning, but is she not necessarily a fan of pouring over books and practising in a practice hall rather than being Out Doing Things? And in her wandering, is she happier being on the move, without a home base, or does she like having a set place of her own to return to? What's her favourite hold and what’s her favourite city of Skyrim? Which are her least favourite lmao. And speaking of religion, how does she practise hers? Does she favour any particular gods or figures? Is it… sort of, more personal to her, a private thing, or more communal, her practice and relationship with religion/gods? Does she give a pass to the 'good' Daedric Princes or is she for daedric abstinence haha

i can whip up a starter for that if you’d like? also for alexandros (it can go on the backburner for now if you just want to start out with the one thread, but ideas here for future reference) meeting at shrines or temples is good for like, seems like the kind of place you’d strike up conversation - or, maybe he interrupts her having to deal with arsey legionaries being difficult about a perceived offence (amorphous crimes like ‘came slightly too close to our camp / looked at us funny / this patrol is boring and we have no healthy hobbies’) - or a dragon hunting party has been arranged by a village after one roosts uncomfortably close by, and they both end up in it?

@dionsblood || from here! normally i'd respond in dms but these are good questions and i want to post the answers publicly thank you sm for asking!

Eilyrie is not a fan of college life. she wants to wander, to explore a place before settling down, and she hasn't been able to do that in skyrim. but the lessons are helpful, so she still puts in the work (albeit reluctantly)!

her downtime is exploring. she can't go too far from the college because it would take too long to get back... but once the dragons arrive, i could see her taking way more time away to help defend various towns, and she'd start traveling way farther out in order to do so. as important as education is, it's not as important to her as protecting those in the path of harm. basically she wouldn't skip school normally but she would for this (granted the college would probably understand)

as for a favorite spot, she likes forests but the forests in skyrim are nothing compared to high rock and she will stand by that! so here she likes to hang out by the rivers. no favorite tutor, because she spends as little time in class/with teachers as possible lmao

i like the idea of them meeting up at a celebration like you mentioned! because yeah Eilyrie would go to one if invited, both because it's the Polite Thing To Do and because a lot of people gathered in one place is the prime spot for another dragon attack. she wants to be there for defense/evacuation procedures if necessary

no worries! i always keep forgetting i even have this blog now and remember at the end of the day oh yeah that's a thing i have

eilyrie isn't the type of person who likes bitter cold - she channels the sun after all - so it takes her quite a while to warm up (pun not intended but i'm keeping it) to skyrim! so the answer i guess would be 'not at first but it grows on her.' she especially likes some of the plant life there that she doesn't get to see in high rock. the college of winterhold is technically why she went there but it ends up being the least interesting thing about her trip for her lmao

eilyrie is more on the quiet side. at first she's kinda solitary with maybe some acquaintances that she meets at the college, and that's where the verse starts off. but then the dragons start attacking and she's gonna get to know a lot of people very quickly

Warm rays filter through still leaves onto cobblestone paths. With the lack of even a breeze, the morning air is silent save for the slow rhythm of footsteps against rock.

Eilyrie's steps are almost leisurely. It's a cooler morning, but she's not cold in her gear, her few pieces of armor that she decided to leave on for the journey. She hasn't been able to go out and just walk through nature in a while, and this seems like the perfect time to do that.

She isn't expecting to see anyone on her path, but she's still not surprised when she does. Her expression is soft — not quite a smile, but not unwelcoming. "Good morning to you. Where are you heading?"

Eilyrie's torn on this. One is becoming a knight. After all, that takes a lot of training and a lot of work, and it's definitely not an achievement to scoff at in her eyes! But the other is that she's always been one to lend a hand and help others. It's been little deeds over the years - defending a wandering trader from bandits, helping with the evacuation of war-torn villages, even gathering supplies for healers when the need arises. Those things, those (to her) unarguably good things, those are her achievements.

[ gin tonic ]  who influenced them the most?

While she did get some influence from her older sister Ysele (especially in terms of her desire to protect those she loves), Eilyrie was a quiet and adventurous child who often went exploring on her own. You could say that the world at large influenced her! She has a deep fondness for nature to this day, one that's a defining aspect of her character. The Wyresses of the Beldama Wyrd in Glenumbra, as well as the Stonelore druids of the Systres, have a lot of her respect and admiration.

[ mimosa ]  which incident shaped them the most?

One of the biggest ones was her sister Ysele leaving the Lion Guard, completely disillusioned with them. Hearing the stories from her sister about what it was like, about the things they were expected to do for the Covenant... yeah, that soured Eilyrie's worldview for a bit. When she became a knight herself, she didn't join the Lion Guard like she'd planned, and thought she'd be safe from all that. Nope. The law and her own morality don't always match up, and as a character that leans lawful good, this is tough.
