Mythology and lore :
The black crow, also known as a raven in some regions is said to possess clairvoyance by which he can see different worlds,is the tale of KakBhushundi, mentioned in Tulasi’ Das’s epic poem ‘Ramacharitamanas’. Bhusundi who was an ardent devotee of Ram had no respect or devotion for any representation God other than Lord Ram. His guru sage Lomas tried to correct this attitude by teaching him to develop devotion for nirguna brahman or the formless aspect of God. But Bhusundi ignored his guru’s teachings and kept on worshipping Ram as the Ultimate Truth. In a fit of anger Sage Lomasha cursed Bhusundi to become a crow because of his repeated rejection and arguments against the sage’s guidance and advice. When Lord Ram intervened on behalf of Bhusundi, Sage Lomas relented and recalled Basundi who was now in the form of a crow as ‘KakBhushundi’ or Bhusundi the crow and taught him Ramcharitmanas, stories about Rama’s spiritual journey. Thus KakBhusundi in the form of a crow became the ultimate narrator of the events in the life of Lord Rama. He was also blessed with the ability to travel through time and recreate the story of Lord Rama.
He witnessed a cosmic vision in Rama's mouth, observing millions of suns and moons within, and a vision of the sage himself in Ayodhya within each celestial object. He resided within each of these realms for centuries, and returned from Rama's mouth to find himself return to the same moment in time as he had left. Bewildered, he begged for Rama's salvation, and was promptly blessed with the same. He chose to forever remain in the form of a crow as he had been blessed by his favoured deity in that form.
during the shraddha ceremony or oblation offered to ancestors, a ball of cooked rice ( pind) is offered to the dead ancestor. If crows eat ( touch/peck) it, then it is assumed that the dead ancestor’s soul has been released from his or her bindings with the physical body and has embarked on the continuation of the soul’s journey to the next level of existence. In this rite, crows touching the rice ball is considered auspicious and is also seen as a good omen.they are of particular interest in Tantric narratives and Tantric rituals. In the general Hindu context, the crow is often stereotyped as inauspicious and its role limited to that of vāhana (vehicle of a deity). Conversely, in Tantric ritual manuals, the crow’s sphere of influence is based on a broader concept. Such scriptures imply ominous and ‘dark’ aspects of agency in crows, but they do so in a strikingly different way than Hindu classic mythology. Tantra emphasise an ambivalent potential in crows as beneficial to certain rituals and occasionally incorporate a ‘crow potency’ in ritual instructions.
They are the very powerful healers who are able to locate the shadows that create distress for people and bring blind dark spots to awareness in people so healing can ensue. Spending long periods in the dark gives one this Siddhi.Shuni Kah is the Crow of the Dark Moon who has access to the never regions. He is the one in us to bring the eye to the underground sediment that toxifies our lives. If this unresolved sediment it is left in the unseen world there is no healing.Shuni Kah the Crow and gatekeeper to the world of dreams is the grand healer. Just singing his name is a powerful mantra that causes us to see in the dark.
The entrance to Shuni is through the femminine. His Mother is Chaya, the Shadow Woman, and his father is Surya, the Sun. His Mother was not able to realise her power beside her Husband, the sun, for his glow burned and make her feel overwhelmed and insignificant and so she fled leaving behind her shadow. This signifies how the Feminine is brought into insignificance when the Solar or active force is ruled over her.Having left her Shadow with her husband, Shuni’s mother whilst still pregnant performed prayers and yogic austerity to Shiva under intense heat. Her effort was so great and the heat generated became so hot that her child, Shuni, was burned black. This signifies how heat and tapasya (yogic purifying Fire of austerity) reveals the darkness within the unconscious recesses of one’s being. When Shuni was born and seen in his blackness, his father was shocked at how dark he was refused to recognise him as his child, accusing his wife of being unfaithful. He raged greatly and insulted his wife. Seeing his Mother thus insulted raised Shuni’s wrath. Thus Shuni’s gazes is ever down in the underworld and arouses suffering. He Rides on the Crow and his wife rides on the Swan. One is the bird of the underworld and the other is the bird of the Celestial spheres
The completion of Tantrais known as the Kiss of Crow & Swan. The meeting of opposites. She rides a chariot pulled by crows and has a flag with crow emblem (Kak Dwhajini). She has a voice of howling jackals. Dhumavati
In Celtic mythology, the warrior goddess known as the Morrighan often appears in the form of a crow or raven or is seen accompanied by a group of them. Typically, these birds appear in groups of three, and they are seen as a sign that the Morrighan is watching—or possibly getting ready to pay someone a visit.

In some tales of the Welsh myth cycle, the Mabinogion, the raven is a harbinger of death. Witches and sorcerers were believed to have the ability to transform themselves into ravens and fly away, thus enabling them to evade capture.Odin is often represented by the raven—usually a pair of them. Early artwork depicts him as being accompanied by two black birds, who are described in the Eddas as Huginn and Munnin. Their names translate to “thought” and “memory,” and their job is to serve as Odin’s spies, bringing him news each night from the land of men. For the ancient Greeks, the crow was a symbol of Apollo in his role as god of prophecy. Augury—divination using birds—was popular among both the Greeks and the Romans, and augurs interpreted messages based on not only the color of a bird but the direction from which it flew. A crow flying in from the east or south was considered favorable.Genesis tells us that after the flood waters receded, the raven was the first bird Noah sent out from the ark to find land. Also, in the Hebrew Talmud, ravens are credited with teaching mankind how to deal with death; when Cain slew Abel, a raven showed Adam and Eve how to bury the body, because they had never done so before.Philo of Alexandria (first century AD), who interpreted the Bible allegorically, stated that Noah's raven was a symbol of vice, whereas the dove was a symbol of virtue (Questions and Answers on Genesis 2:38)In the Story of Bhusunda, a chapter of the Yoga Vasistha, a very old sage in the form of a crow, Bhusunda, recalls a succession of epochs in the earth's history, as described in Hindu cosmology. He survived several destructions, living on a wish-fulfilling tree on Mount Meru.[24]
The Lesser Key of Solomon: Goetia, The Book of Evil SpiritsStolas, the 36th demon in the pantheon, will first appear as a raven when summoned. Once he becomes a man, he teaches the arts and astronomy, as well as the properties of precious stones and the healing properties of herbs. Malphas, the 39th demon, appears as a crow and won’t change form until ordered. In his human form, he can build homes and fortifications and can give his summoner a familiar
Raven overheard the old man talking to himself about a box he possessed. The box contained a series of ever-smaller boxes, and inside the smallest box was all the light in the world—which Raven decided to steal. There seemed to be no door into the house, so Raven waited until the man’s daughter went to a nearby stream, then changed himself into a hemlock needle in the water, which the girl drank. Raven changed himself into a baby once he was inside her, and once he was born (an odd-looking half-bird, half-boy creature whose true nature was hidden by the darkness), he demanded to be allowed to play with the boxes. One by one, Raven demanded the first box, then the second, and so on. Finally, he convinced his grandfather to open the innermost box and let him play with the ball that was the light. As soon as Raven had the light, he took off with it gripped in his beak. The light spilled from the ball and over the world, but it wasn’t long before Eagle gave chase. As Raven fled, pieces of the light fell to the ground and shattered, bouncing back into the sky to create the Moon and the stars. Other pieces of the light slowly fell as Raven made his way around the world, which is why the light travels across the sky the way it does.Theories suggest that the three legs represent the three ancient clans of Japan or the three virtues of valor, benevolence, and wisdom. Some suggest that the three stands for mankind, heaven, and Earth. Regardless of why Yatagarasu has three legs, he’s seen as symbolic of the navigator, physical and spiritual, and he’s even been adopted by the Japanese soccer association in the hopes that he’ll help navigate the ball into the goal. He’s also closely associated with Kumano, the birthplace of the founder of the sport in Japan
The raven is considered one of the smartest birds. In fact, the raven’s brain is among the largest of any bird species. Ravens also happen to possess an extraordinary number of brain cells compared to the brains of other birds.3When the raven is your spirit animal, you are being called upon to rely on your wits in a given situation or when you are faced with a challenge in your life. Often in life, we can go on automatic pilot, accepting things the way they are, or thinking we don’t have the capacity to change them. The raven spirit animal tells you that with innovation and creative thinking, you can influence outcomes that affect the course of your life. Even if you feel emotional about a situation, remember to rely on the gift of your intellect to solve your problems. This is how you gain deeper intelligence and wisdom.\
Charles Dickens’ Barnaby Rudge: A Tale of the Riots of Eighty. In both tales, the raven is at first disturbing to the character who interacts with him. But then he provides important insights. Indeed, the raven expands both of the main characters’ level of consciousness.
In many Native American legends, the raven is the wisest of birds, even possessing the ability to speak.8 (In fact, this is an interesting parallel between Native American legends and stories from other cultures, such as Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, in which the intelligent black bird is capable of human speech. The Egyptian goddess Nepthys, who is the sister of Isis, was the goddess of the dead.13 It’s clear that the ancient Egyptians also connected the raven with death, as they associated Nepthys with this intelligence black bird.
Meaning: Survival and Adaptability
Intuition – Because the raven is so closely associated with clairvoyance and prophecy, on a spiritual level, they remind us of our own ability to connect with our Higher Power and higher spiritual entities through our own minds.
Spiritual Guidance – As they are associated with insight and guidance, the raven is also a symbol for spiritual education. We are all works in progress. Learning about spirituality from more enlightened souls can lead to our own spiritual growth.
Spiritual Transformation – As a powerful symbol of transformation, the raven also embodies the idea of shifting consciousness and opening our minds to greater awareness as we navigate our spiritual journey. reflect on the areas of your life that they might relate to. Even an anxious raven dream can be a gift. It can prompt you to take the time to be an objective observer of your own thoughts. Then, you can improve situations without getting pulled in every direction your thoughts might take.

Through various nakshatras
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interpretations are solely based on my understanding and you can have your interpretation as well ❤️
Krittika nakshatra
Krittika is a churner of perfection under the fire of Surya that gave birth to Shani through his mother chaya the first conception of the birth of a crow comes through while Shani is associated with crows , the struggles of not being seen enough is associated here , the outcast themes come through. Along with that the perfection theme while a crow collects the most beautiful stuff to keep in it's nest , it knows what's valuable like krittika sees the value in things , they know what they want and they attempt to take it . Here this relates to the story of yatagarasu believed to be an incarnation of the sun in Shinto mythology. This also associates with Apollo being the god of prophecy and taking the form of a crow , shows that where there exists light ( Surya ) there Exists chaya , they aren't on a scale of horizontal extremes but the flip sides of a coin, one cannot exist without the other , in krittika lies the light so lies the dark , lies the beauty of creation so lies the pain of change .
Pushya nakshatra
Pushya nakshatra ruled by Saturn comes in through the first liberation through pain and trials in the lives of the natives , like a crow one suffers despite what others say , people say various things without knowing about the wisdom of the crow , this forms the initiation of intuition . While pushya relates to the nourishing aspect of a crow , how they hunt for their young ones , how they know pain because they have been the one experiencing it , being outcast only affects them for a small time because they pick themselves up like a true winner. . Here the intelligence and creativity given by the raven shines through with the light of the moon .
Hasta nakshatra:
The playful nature of mercury- moon shines through the crow in being a lover for finer things in life , they are the intelligent ones the smart ones , they are often called deceptive , but that's just cleverness put to use , while the significance here can be seen through the story of raven (mentioned above) stealing the box which contained all the light of the world and convincing the old man to open the box , natives have great communication skills and can easily convince people. As the eagle chased the raven the moon and the stars were created , signified by the moon hasta creates their own pathway through their own efforts. By hook or by crook they get what they desire .
Jyestha nakshatra:
In Jyestha nakshatra comes in the prophetic and astrological nature of the natives . Jyestha nakshatra is associated with the 8th house , hence death and through the mahavidya Dhumavati who is also associated with crows , this nakshatra gives grounding, astrological talent to the one with this nakshatra. When the ceremonial rites of a dead person is performed offering food to a crow suggests the offerings being accepted by the dead , which is suggested here with Jyestha being in Scorpio. In tantra crows are seen as potent symbolism of intuition and transformation in various mythologies, crow is seen as transformation as is seen in Jyestha nakshatra. In the lesser key of solomon a crow reaches the art of divinitions and healing properties of crystals . A Jyestha native transforms throughout their lives and gains knowledge to become a spiritual centre of creativity and intuition. They bring in spirituality and astrology as 8th being the origin of astrology, they are potent in magical arts and healing others as well as themselves.
Dhanistha nakshatra :
When in dhanistha can be explained through the story of kakbhushundi , the disciple who turned into a crow in devotion to Rama , the solar avatar of Vishnu, kakbhushundi explores the spritual aspect of the crow , kakbhushundi who recited stories through ramacharitamanas . Dhanistha associated with Hanuman also shows the infinite devotion the crow bird and the natives of dhanistha have towards their adored and admired one , being a symbol of loyalty they are blessed with spiritual powers like kakbhushundi could travel through time and various realms , Dhanistha are blessed with the power to see various perspectives . Dhanistha natives are associated with the celestial form of a crow , the loyalty , the devotion and the spiritual salvation.

I am getting in nakshatras gradually and I'm realizing that the interpretation of almost every nakshatra is kinda dark...? Or atleast serious. Of course, in the end, we're talking about occult but I feel like all the nakshatra are more dark, relates more to the 8th and 12th houses, as in our shadows and our spirituality.

Punarvasu & Swati: Cosmogony, Reality & Consciousness
Punarvasu and Swati are deeply intertwined nakshatras with very similar patterns and themes. Punarvasu's deity Goddess Aditi embodies infinity and vast primordial space. She is boundless and limitless. Swati's deity Vayu is the ruler of air & wind and connected to the life force or prana (or qi).
Both these nakshatras connect to space, infinity, abundance and are known for being wealth giving nakshatras.
Ruth Handler, the inventor of Barbie had Swati Sun & Mercury along with Ketu in Punarvasu
Margot Robbie who played Barbie has Swati Moon & Punarvasu Rising
I had briefly mentioned this in my Tomie post but Swati & Punarvasu's themes are manifest in Barbie because Barbie is not a person, she is a type of doll, and she can be anyone or anything. Barbie is a whole universe into herself, this is the cosmic abundance and infinitude of Swati & Punarvasu.
Tumblr media
My Tomie post also talks about how Tomie is a Punarvasu so do check that out!!
I have always thought that Punarvasu & Swati are related to time travel which makes sense provided the cosmic infinitude embodied in these naks.
Tumblr media
Predestination, a time- travel movie starring Ethan Hawke who is Swati Sun (do watch it, its really good))
Tumblr media
Bruce Willis has been in several time-travel movies, including 12 Monkeys & Looper. He has Jupiter in Punarvasu atmakaraka
Tumblr media
The 1960 movie The Time Machine stars Rod Taylor who has Ketu in Swati.
Tumblr media
The Terminator movies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger- Punarvasu stellium (mercury, venus & rising). Arnold like many Punarvasus have been in many sci-fi movies that concern the nature of reality, in fact his own autobiography is called Total Recall (he's been in a movie of the same name and its about what is real and what isn't- peak Punarvasu behaviour I must say)
Tumblr media
Planet of the Apes stars Charlton Heston who has Punarvasu Moon, Swati Rising
Tumblr media
Frequency stars Dennis Quaid who has Punarvasu Moon & Ketu
Tumblr media
The Matrix/ The Lake House/Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure are all time travel movies starring Keanu Reeves who is Punarvasu Moon.
Its interesting to me that many Punarvasus have often spoken about "creating your reality".
Tumblr media
Octavia Butler, the writer has Punarvasu Rising (the themes of this nak is vv apparent in her work but I'll perhaps discuss that in a future post) and this^^ is a page from her journal that she wrote in the 1970s wayyy before manifestation was a "thing".
Butler grew up very poor in an era of racial segregation and suffered from dyslexia. She overcame great odds to become one of the best-selling sci-fi novelists of all time.
Tumblr media
Miranda Kerr- Punarvasu Moon often talks about the power of our thoughts and has referenced writers like David R Hawkins (who talks about the nature of consciousness) a lot. Here's a quote from her book.
“Start each day by saying to yourself: ‘How amazing it is to be alive! What a wondrous feeling I have inside! I am awake, healthy and full of joy!’ Visualise every cell in your body being filled with vitality, health and love.”- Treasure Yourself
Miranda grew up quite lower middle class on a farm in rural Australia and then went on to become one of the best known models in the world and is now married to a billionaire.
Tumblr media
Arnold Schwarzenegger- Punarvasu Rising (and stellium)
If you've read his autobiography or watched his Netflix documentary yk that he talks constantly about the power of the mind, having focus etc
He grew up in a small town in Austria (after WW2) with an abusive father and also suffered from dyslexia. He then went on to become one of the biggest movie stars of all time and was the Governor of California???
Tumblr media
Ariana Grande- Mercury in Punarvasu sings about manifestation and law of attraction quite a lot. She was a side character on a Nickelodeon show and 10yrs later she's one of the biggest pop- stars.
Tumblr media
Nikola Tesla, Punarvasu Sun & Venus
Tesla discovered automatic current transmission & generation technology which is responsible for modern day wireless connections. He's also super Punarvasu core as a person, he had eidetic memory, apparently did not sleep more than 2 hours per night, was interested in Vedic cosmology & philosophy (he used terms like akasha & prana to describe the relationship between matter & energy). I find this quote by him very interesting, "To me, the universe is simply a great machine which never came into being and never will end". I personally don't believe in the Big Bang theory and I'm inclined to believe that the universe has always existed instead of having come into existence at one point, which imo, is a very anthropocentric idea. Tesla's quote is a reflection of the boundless nature of Aditi, who is the cosmic mother, she embodies creation.
fun fact: Elon Musk who named Tesla after him is Punarvasu Mercury & Rising.
Interestingly enough, several decades before the Big Bang theory gained mainstream acceptance and was studied by scientists, Edgar Allan Poe published a lecture/essay on the matter titled Eureka: A Prose Poem in 1848 (!!!!). He had Swati Rising
Can you believe that he, a man with zero scientific background essentially came up with ideas that would serve as the basis of 20th century scientific discoveries & theories??? That too in 1848???
Analysis of Eureka's scientific content shows congruities with modern cosmology, stemming from Poe's assumption of an evolving Universe and it also contains ideas about the unity of space and time, the mathematical equality of matter and energy, the velocity of light and a rudimentary concept of relativity, black holes (including one at the centre of our Milky Way), a "pulsating" universe that renews itself eternally, and other universes in other dimensions with different laws of nature.
A writer & poet who dropped out of college came up with all that in 1848. Swatis & Punarvasus have the ability to understand complex concepts, systems, and processes intuitively. This is why they are so good at analysis, strategy and planning. They have a futuristic vision because its easy for them to see how current events will affect other things and manifest in the future. Those who don't have these placements will struggle to understand what this is like because most of us aren't endowed with this sort of ability to see the trees and the forest all at once.
Interestingly, the scientist Georges Lemaître who first proposed the "Big Bang theory" of the origin of the universe, calling it the "hypothesis of the primaeval atom", and later calling it "the beginning of the world" is a Punarvasu Sun.
Tumblr media
Leonardo da Vinci is known for his foresight and is considered a visionary. He, in the 15th & 16th centuries, pondered upon the possibilities of human flight and left behind diagrams and models of the helicopter, the parachute, the machine gun, the humanoid robot, the revolving bridge, the ideal city and much more. He had Ketu in Punarvasu.
Tumblr media
Carl Jung created some of the best-known psychological concepts, including synchronicity, archetypal phenomena, the collective unconscious, the psychological complex, and extraversion and introversion. He had Punarvasu Mercury & Venus and it explains why there was such a heavy emphasis on "darkness" vs "light" in his work (Punarvasu being "the return of the light").
He is the father of Analytical Psychology which seeks to "analyze the relationship between a person's individual consciousness and the deeper common structures which underlie them. Personal experiences both activate archetypes in the mind and give them meaning and substance for the individual. At the same time, archetypes covertly organize human experience and memory, their powerful effects becoming apparent only indirectly and in retrospect. Understanding the power of the collective unconscious can help an individual to navigate through life."
In fact, vedic astrology (Jung did use astrology as well btw) serves as a very interesting way to explore the collective unconscious and the many archetypes that are manifest in individuals possessing them.
I will make a post in the future comparing Freud & Jung and how their different astrological placements contributed to their similar but differing views.
George Orwell, who was a fierce critic of totalitarianism had Swati Rising, if you read his works, you can see how he's able to analyse the effects and consequences of the same, especially 1984 which was sooo ahead of its time in the sense that much of what was written in the book is eerily similar to what's going on in the world right now.  The novel examines the role of truth and facts within societies and how they can be manipulated.
Swatis & Punarvasus are super Futuristic, as individuals or visionaries as well as in their art & work. They dominate in the surreal/scifi genre.
Tumblr media
Robin Williams- Swati Rising stars as an android in Bicentennial Man which is a movie about a robot who learns how to be human. Transcending humanity is a big theme in the works of Swati natives.
On this note, I have noticed several Swati & Punarvasu natives star in movies featuring/about cloning 👀 This does not surprise me as I had already mentioned this in my Tomie post but it is fascinating how Swati & Punarvasu's ability to be many many versions of themselves is made manifest in this trope of clones.
I have to mention how both Rahu & Jupiter have a very boundless, obese energy that is hard to contain. This can be manifest negatively because its very easy for energy of this proportion to be misused and misdirected but when they're harnessed positively, these individuals are capable of envisioning change that have few/no other parallels.
Tumblr media
Moon (2009) is a movie that features the main character and his clones. Sam Rockwell, Swati Sun plays the main character.
Tumblr media
Tom Cruise, Punarvasu moon (acc to Claire Nakti) stars in Oblivion and plays a clone of himself. One version of him is good, his "clone" is evil. The battle between good & evil within oneself is a VERY Jupiterian trope (and I shall make a post solely about that in the near future).
Tumblr media
Multiplicity is a 90s scifi-comedy about a guy who clones himself so that he can do all the things he wants to do. Michael Keaton who plays the protagonist has Swati Moon
Tumblr media
The Sixth Day is a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (Punarvasu stellium) and it is about cloning. The title is a reference to the Abrahamic Genesis concept of how God created mankind on the sixth day.
This in itself is very interesting because Punarvasu is the 7th nakshatra and in the Bible, it is said "And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation."
7 is a number that has profound spiritual meaning and is present in many religions as a figure of significance. From this verse taken from the Book of Genesis, it is interesting to note that ""7" is the culmination of creation. It is the day on which God rested because he had already created. It is not nothingness, it is the day on which everything already existed. This is a significant Punarvasu theme.
Tumblr media
Replicas stars Keanu Reeves (Punarvasu Moon) as a neuroscientist who tries to revive his deceased family members by cloning them.
Its interesting how in these films, natives appear either as a clone or as the ones who do the cloning, furthermore connecting it back to Punarvasu's creation trope.
Tumblr media
Harrison Ford, Punarvasu sun & moon stars as in and as the Blade Runner (1982) where he must "pursue and terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to Earth to find their creator."
Tumblr media
David Cronenberg is a director best known for making really weird, surreal, futuristic movies that heavily feature themes related to the nature of reality, consciousness etc
He is a Punarvasu Moon & Jupiter
Tumblr media
Gakuryu Ishii, Punarvasu Moon is another filmmaker who makes movies that heavily centre around truth, reality, consciousness, the future etc.
I recommend his movie Mirrored Mind which heavily deals with identity, consciousness etc (its vaguely reminiscent of Perfect Blue)
Tumblr media
Robert de Niro Punarvasu Rising, stars in the movie Awakenings (based on a true story) as a catatonic patient who has an "awakening" before tragically going back into catatonia, Robin Williams, Swati Rising stars as the doctor who administers a drug that induces this awakening.
In Vedic philosophy, there are 3 gunas, Rajas, Tamas & Sattva.
Tamas is a state of darkness, inertia, inactivity,
Rajas is a state of energy, action, change, and movement.
Sattva is a state of harmony, balance, joy, and intelligence.
Punarvasu belongs to the Rajas guna whereas Swati belongs to Tamas guna.
Tamas can be described as a state of statis or stagnation as there is no transformation and thus no change. Punarvasu natives are prone to passivity and it is only when they face their own destructive shadow, do they emerge out of passivity to their natural state of Rajas. In this movie, Deniro's experience where he emerges from his catatonia with a desire for freedom and to live life to the fullest before eventually accepting the fact that his condition cannot be remedied inspires the Doctor played by Robin Williams to emerge out of his own shell and live life more fully.
Punarvasus are often restricted by situations beyond their control yet they are possessed by a yearning to live life to the fullest. Swatis often have unmeasured freedom and do not know how to utilize it, they are restricted by their own character.
Tumblr media
The Gaia Hypothesis proposed by James Lovelock (1972) suggests that living organisms on the planet interact with their surrounding inorganic environment to form a synergetic and self-regulating system that created, and now maintains, the climate and biochemical conditions that make life on Earth possible.
It is a holistic view, which is generally not appreciated in science that likes to favour randomness, chance or whatever instead of the innate harmony and union behind creation.
James Lovelock has Punarvasu moon & Swati rising
Lynn Margulis who co-developed this theory with him most likely has Revati Moon and I will be exploring her symbiotic view of evolution on a different post as it goes beyond the scope of this one.
Tumblr media
Edit: as @brundlefly333 pointed out, the French philosopher Henri Bergson (Punarvasu Moon) has a book called Creative Evolution which extrapolates that whilst "evolution of species can come from external factors "like natural selection", it most importantly (comes) from an internal impulse (a creative force). This creative force is inherently unpredictable and non-linear, leading to the emergence of novelty and complexity in living organisms over time.
I find his "Cone of Memory" (depicted above) hypothesis very fascinating.
The Cone of Memory model can be imagined as an inverted cone, with the apex representing the present moment, the base symbolizing the entirety of one’s past experiences, and the cone’s vertical axis signifying the flow of time. As the present moment progresses, the apex of the cone moves upward along the axis, continuously stretching the cone outward as it incorporates new experiences and memories into a person’s consciousness. The memories from our past experiences are layered into the cone, with the most recent memories residing closer to the apex and older memories located further down, towards the base.
Bergson’s model emphasizes the active role of individual perception, memory, and experience in shaping one’s consciousness. The human mind, as depicted by Bergson, interacts with the objective world while drawing from its accumulated memories to create individual experiences in real time. The Cone of Memory focuses on the dynamic interplay between perception, memory, and experience, hoping to account for the generation of novel understandings and interpretations of reality.
Bergson’s emphasis on experience at the personal level also has significant implications for how we understand the self. In his view, the self is not a static entity but rather a constantly developing process, shaped by the dynamic interplay of perception, memory, and experience. This more fluid conception of the self contrasts sharply with many traditional notions of a fixed, unchanging identity. It also invites us to recognize the transformative power of our own experiences and encounters in the continuous interweaving of the past and present in our temporal consciousness.
It can be summed up with this quote:
"To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly"- Henri Bergson
Tumblr media
Rudolf Steiner- Ketu in Punarvasu, Swati rising
Steiner's breadth of work encompasses many fields, he pioneered modern-day organic farming, anthroposophical medicine (what we call alternate medicine including homeopathy, massages and frequency work etc rooted in the human body's ability to heal itself) invented the Waldorf education system (alternative schooling) and tried to merge science and spirituality.
All of this is vvv Punarvasu & Swati coded because its these natives who are frequently drawn to non-traditional systems of thought & experience and also merging a vast variety of techniques + being well versed in a lot of different fields etc comes down to having the inner space to hold all of it. This is literally not something most other people can do. Pursuit of knowledge can easily drain/deplete people but Punarvasu & Swati natives have a boundless thirst for knowledge and innately understand the profound truth that everything is connected.
Symbiosis, synergy, syncretism etc are all themes prominent in the works of Swati & Punarvasu natives who tend to view things as a coherent whole and not separate from one another; everything in creation exists to serve one another and exist in perfect harmony. Its not by "accident" that human beings took shape on earth where all the elements exist to continually support human life, every tiny detail is manifest in divine perfection and it helps us understand that we are a part of a larger system and that what we do affects changes at both the micro and macro level.
"Synergetics is the empirical study of systems in transformation, with an emphasis on whole system behaviours unpredicted by the behaviour of any components in isolation. R. Buckminster Fuller (1895–1983) named and pioneered the field. His two-volume work Synergetics: Explorations in the Geometry of Thinking."
Buckminster Fuller had Punarvasu sun & jupiter
I think I had made a post about how Punarvasu natives tend to make geometric art that features repetitive patterns and motifs. I thought Fuller's use of the term "Geometry of Thinking" was very Punarvasu of him.
Pls look him up and his work, its very interesting and if you have Punarvasu placements you might find things you resonate with. I dont want to make this post any longer so I'm not including more of his work although all of it really fits with the theme tbh.
Amartya Sen, the Indian economist and philosopher has Swati Sun, he is best known for his contributions to welfare economics, social choice theory, and development economics. His work incorporates the same holistic view of how everything exists in close interaction with everything else, interconnectedness as well as an all encompassing-ness are themes that dominate his work. Society affects the market, the market affects society, all of this affects interpersonal relationships, it takes a Swati/Punarvasu native to deeply embody this sentiment in their thought/work.
Tumblr media
George Harrison aka the Spiritual Beatle had Swati moon, Jupiter in punarvasu amatyakaraka.
"It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one."
This quote by him really sums it up.
Tumblr media
Robert A Heinlein had Punarvasu sun, jupiter and rahu
Heinlein used his science fiction as a way to explore provocative social and political ideas and to speculate how progress in science and engineering might shape the future of politics, race, religion, and sex. Within the framework of his science-fiction stories, Heinlein repeatedly addressed certain social themes: the importance of individual liberty and self-reliance, the nature of sexual relationships, the obligation individuals owe to their societies, the influence of organized religion on culture and government, and the tendency of society to repress nonconformist thought. He also speculated on the influence of space travel on human cultural practices.
This is yet another example of the interconnectedness of Punarvasu as well as the analytical nature of these natives.
I will end this post here because I've been rambling for too long but I hope this was informative!! Apologies that this was kinda science heavy and not very pop culture centric :/

Wondering what's more painful? I've experienced Saade Saati as a kid and a teen and I now have Saturn Mahadasha. And in my experience, my life's worst time was that Saade Saati, though I'm feeling more optimistic about Shani Dasha, but lets see, I've just entered. Good luck to you, btw.✨
Damn.. Saturn and grief both are inseparable. It's very much disappointing that saturn pushes you to despair even for granting little awards and makes you work your ass off. I just failed in something in which I had put months of effort. The most saddening thing I was just a little short of my goal. My day is ruined.
Just feeling saturn vibes because of saturn pratyantar. Can't be helped I guess.

Ascendant Persona Chart 🎭🖼 (planets and houses)
Tumblr media
Ascendant Persona Chart
-> The Ascendant represents a very interesting part of us: the first development of our identity. Exactly because it is something primary, initial, sometimes it represents the initial impetus for something, as well as the way we show ourselves to others.
Keywords for the Ascendant: self-image, behaviors, "business card", that is, how you present yourself to others, your relationship with your body, self-esteem, temperament. Such matters can be understood in more depth through your Ascendant Persona Chart.
What I find interesting about studying the Ascendant in a deeper way is the possibility of seeing how people can initially see us! By the way, I have already noticed that many see others eternally from the perspective of the Ascendant, being unable to go beyond, seeing the others superficially. This even occurs because the person makes projections, forgetting to look at the depth of other. The opposite of the Ascendant is the Descendant: what I see in myself, I can project onto others all the time, especially if I don't know myself.
Very clear example. Someone who looks at a person with Taurus Rising and sees that image of stability, firmness and control. But the person can't see beyond. Looking at the Ascendant Persona Chart of the person with Taurus Rising we see a Mercury in Taurus in the 2nd house, for example. Those who see this person superficially can see her as someone cocky, stingy, who even has materialistic thoughts. But it all depends. Of course, depending on the person's actions, this may appear externally, but it is an example to remind us that the Ascendant is just the beginning. The beginning of the personality, the superficiality that matters, but that does not represent the whole.
Below I demonstrate the meanings of placements within this Persona chart.
✨📚🦋 Meanings ✨📚🦋
Sun: In Persona charts, the Sun will always represent the natal placement of that point expanded in the Persona chart. example: if a person has Ascendant in Aries at 29º 25'13" in natal chart, it means that she/he has Sun in Aries 29º 25'13" in the Ascendant Persona chart.
Ascendant (1st house): I see the Ascendant in the Ascendant Persona chart as the person's "second" Rising Sign, the other component layer of the onion that is the Ascendant. the Ascendant represents our impetus and it is put into practice together with the natal Ascendant.
Moon: the Moon in Ascendant Persona Chart is the vulnerable part that we try to hide but that comes to light. it is the sensitive part of us that people see the most, our "weaknesses" and most vulnerable points. it also demonstrates how we will be more sensitive to others.
Mercury: Mercury in the Ascendant Persona Chart is the intellectual part of the person that comes to the fore the most, what others see about your communication, what knowledge do you demonstrate at first, what thoughts people imagine you have.
Venus: Venus in the Ascendant Persona Chart represents what you show to others in the area of love: Do you appear affectionate? Do you look domineering? How do others see your way of behaving in relationships? Moreover, this placement demonstrates what you emanate to others as a need in love. Venus in the Ascendant Persona Chart also demonstrates your way of valuing and caring for yourself, your vanity, what is vanity to you. Example: a person who has Venus in Cancer in the Ascendant Persona Chart conveys the image of being very affectionate and affectionate in relationships, and has a way of seeing himself that he is also affectionate, or at least needs to go through this approach, because that's how comfortable her being is (considering her Ascendant is self-image).
Mars: Mars in the Ascendant Persona Chart represents the image conveyed in relation to your strength, energy: Do you appear as a person with calm or nervous energy? Patient or insistent? Understanding or stubborn? Peaceful or conflicted? Conforming or questioning? In addition, Mars placement demonstrates where you most appear to have energy, where people can see your strength. From another perspective, Mars also gives tips on where people need to be careful not to act excessively, which can impact their self-esteem or temperament.
Jupiter: Jupiter in Ascendant Persona chart represents where others see your energy of abundance, expansion, and even exaggeration. Where you seem optimistic, as well as what your values and philosophies are. Example: Jupiter in Aries in the 1st house on the Ascendant Persona Chart, energy of independence, assertiveness, striving to follow yourself and not others. This person's philosophy of life can be conveyed as: independence above all else. Others may see it negatively, depending on: a) the person's attitudes; b) the internal filters that each one has to interpret the others and their reality. Additionally, Jupiter in the Ascendant Persona Chart represents where we can find strength and optimism in our individuality and the strength of our self-worth. In addition, the Jupiterian excesses and abundances corresponding to the placement can affect self-esteem and temperament.
Saturn: In the Ascendant Persona chart, Saturn corresponds to the restrictive and closed part that you transmit to others. It can also represent the difficulties related to your self-esteem and identity, the subjects in which you felt blockage, fear, limits to develop your identity.
Uranus: Uranus in the Ascendant Persona chart represents how and in which area we will project an image of independence, of strength to innovate and create something new, unique and original. It could be the parts of ourselves that we deal with frequently questioning - issues related to our self-image.
Neptune: Neptune in the Ascendant Persona Chart marks where we convey the image of being creative, deep, empathetic, and/or adaptable. It can also represent a part where we are very elusive with ourselves, the part of our self-image to be dissolved in order to reach something totalized, inspiring. Example: Neptune in the 10th house in the Ascendant Persona chart can represent a person who has the need to overcome the barriers of what is concrete, traditional, to achieve a healthier self-image. also, part of this person's (self)image it is linked to his/her career, which needs to be experienced in a spiritual or at least an inspiring way.
Pluto: where you emanate power, control, depth, intensity. the subjects in which people see you as a domain and a mystery. It also represents the behaviors that can be destructive or inflexible of you with yourself and your identity and initial view of the world. It can also demonstrate the part of you where the patterns are most difficult to change in relation to Ascendant meanings.
Chiron: the wounds you have in relation to your self-esteem and self-image. where you will manifest the healer image. what opportunity do you have to present yourself as someone who heals.
North Node: the missions that need to be achieved for the person to find an even more mature manifestation of their Ascendant. they are the missions that involve the maturation of your primary identity and your self-esteem.
South Node: the part of your Ascendant that is most integrated into your being, the characteristics that you have very naturally and that come to others through your image. the characteristics that constitute your self-image and that you are most used to, that bring you comfort.
Houses ✨📚
2nd house: the sign placed here mentions how you embody self-worth in the way you live and express yourself.
3rd house: this house demonstrates the thought pattern that bases your behavior, temperament, self-image.
4th house: the sign placed here mentions the way your emotions are expressed to others, as well as the initial reaction you have to what occurs to you.
5th house: the placement of the 5th house in the Ascendant Persona Chart demonstrates where your Ascendant is happy expressing itself, things that help keep your inner child active, making the experience of your self-image healthier.
6th house: this placement can signify where you are most methodical and rational about your behaviors and temperament, how (and whether) you rationalize the image you will convey to others, how your self-esteem and concern for your body is experienced.
7th house (Descendant): very interesting placement in this type of chart! precisely because it is the Descendant, opposite to the Ascendant, it is interesting to look at this point more closely. the Descendant in the Ascendant Persona Chart means where we project ourselves, what parts of us are seen through our relationships, whether the parts we deny (shadow vs acceptance) or that we like (comfort zone vs affection for such traits). It also demonstrates the image we transmit in relation to the act of being together with someone, as well as the image transmitted about empathy and alterity. 7th house placement provides details of who you are in interpersonal relationships.
8th house: this placement brings the idea of where we can regenerate ourselves to have a healthier self-esteem, where we need or where we already have a deeper contact with our being in order to have a more authentic expression of identity. 8th house placement provides details of your initial reaction and conveyed image regarding taboos and deep issues.
9th house: placement that represents the traits of trust, understanding and deepening related to your Ascendant. It can represent a learning opportunity to further develop your self-esteem, your image. 9th house placement provides details of your initial reaction, your temperament and behavior towards faith.
10th house (Medium Coeli): this placement can highlight areas where your Ascendant will highlight, where public expression of your self-image can bring you growth and rewards. 10th house placement provides details of how your Ascendant behaves in work relationships, in outer life.
11th house: this placement contributes to the understanding of how our Ascendant behaves in social circles, with friendships. How do your friends see you, what image do you project when you're in a group?
12th house: this placement details how you react to immaterial things, how your Ascendant relates with deep emotions, and your temperament to the metaphysical and spiritual worlds. How do hidden but felt things impact your behavior with yourself and the image projected to others? Are you impacted by something and don't know? Or do you know and hide it, don't you face it?

Young Thug, Ashlesha Sun 🐍🐍🐍
TW⚠️: Snakes
Nakshatra deity: Serpent🐍
The sun is now transiting Ashlesha, just in time for this post lol
I 💚 Young Thug so much, and it just randomly clicked to me that he could be Ashlesha Sun, after checking, he is lol,, I guessed bc I knew he was Tropical Leo Sun,
Tumblr media
~also it’s very hard to pass up his obvious love for snakes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ashlesha is “The Entwiner”, “The Embracer”, both I feel fit Young Thugs persona very well, as he’s known for deeply caring for/embracing many people he chooses to surround himself with
~This nakshatra is very very choosy and very private. Also naive.. bc they are so loyal/trusting over ppl they become close to, it is a theme that these natives get taken advantage of.. think Marilyn Monroe (Ashlesha Asc) (more information on this in Claire Naktis video of Ashlesha)
In Claire Naktis’ video, she also expressed how Ashlesha Natives can love to stick their tongues out, and that is so funny to me bc ⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many natives are highly seductive/hypnotic/cunning/magnetic/etc.
This Nakshatra is deeply connected to sexual energy, relating to the Kundalini/Caduceus🐍🐍 (energy that is coiled at the base of the spine, circulating through the spine+aura, pictured below)
Young Thug has literally nicknamed his self ‘Sex’
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His Sun is in tight conjunction with his Jupiter, creating a large persona, emphasizing his Ashlesha traits
While he may be an extreme case of Ashlesha, he is a really good example of how it may manifest! I even have Ashlesha Mars, and I have a baby snake I never thought I could bond so deeply with💚
I strive to see Duality of all things, no good or bad, just light and dark, I know society looks at something like a snake or Young Thug as unlovable bc they are too ‘unpredictable’ and ‘intense’.. from a surface layer. Take a deeper look into something you consider bad, and see the reasoning of why it is that way, why everything is as it should be. Anyway Free Jeffery 💚💚💚💚💚💚

rahu dominant ♡︎ ardra, swati, shatabhisha 🫖 🎀
Tumblr media
They can honestly be very fond of the high life, Rahu individuals. They will always spend a lot on interior designing. Rahu can have quite a lot of unrealistic fantasies and are usually controlling, they can be a bit little vain too. They have a very good sense of humour though and take life very lightly. They are intellectually flirtatious and usually have a striking, powerful and hypnotic beauty. They are yin and highly feminine in nature. They can sometimes be very vague and cloudy, which can lead to delusions and psychosis. They’re always mysterious and charismatic though, but can be considered an airhead at times, they’re a little scattered and have inflated egos. Rahu is great with mass media, fame, entertainment, foreigners and foreign countries. Rahu can also develop insatiable cravings due to its ambitious nature and these people get quite stuck in the material world. These individuals usually have a deep desire for freedom, fame or independence, they may be the black sheep of the family in some way and can often show a genius spark that is revolutionary and changes the way that an outdated system operates. They challenge societal institutions a lot. There is always something ghostly about their appearance and they can be quite sensitive and skittish. They tend to get hysterical sometimes too through crying, threats of suicide etc and always seem to have a fascination with people or things that are destructive to them.
They are highly alluring and tempting individuals, because they always keep their calm, with the exceptional outburst, that’s how they draw people in really - there’s a futuristic feel to them. Rahu is developmental and these individuals do tend to constantly act like teenagers - it’s very progressive and energetic - think of it like Uranus. It’s opulence and indulgence is similar to Venus - they’re just more independent and not so attached to people or emotions, rather their ambitions and their future goals. They can also have quite harsh speech and their life is subject to many sudden changes.
They tend to be very restless individuals. It is quite similar to Venus in its gorgeous femininity, but more ghostly and tricky. It is however the base of fame and celebrity. A lot of these people can obsess over the material realm and many do partake in buying branded clothing and enjoying elite things in life. Sometimes they come across as confused or obsessed, or just overly dramatic. They have incredible networking skills and persuasive talent. They are however quite lustful and attracted to the opposite sex. Similar to Uranus they have a very impulsive nature. They link and tie to high society - think Coco Chanel, Lily Rose Depp. (She has a lot of Rahu in her birthchart) - as does Margot Robbie.  They do really enjoy breaking tradition and reforming structures. Rahu dominant people can sometimes feel like a bit of an outcast - similar to Uranus energy. Rahu women especially tend to attract a lot of people’s attention online due to them being so typically attractive. It is responsible for wealth. A lot of people with this dominance are born wealthy or at least in upper class of the economy. A lot of them too are born in a family where the family members enjoy refined quality of life. Many of them tend to love expensive things too.

Nakshatra Appreciation (7/?)
Tumblr media
Sitting down to finally post about Āśleṣā (आश्लेषा), the 9th nakṣatra in Jyotiṣa science. 'The Clinging Star' as it's so-called, alluding to a snake's tight constriction. Symbolized by a coiled serpent, or a wheel, it is the Sanskrit equivalent of the Chinese Lieou, Tibetan Skag and Roman Hydrae.
The constellation ranges from 16°40' - 30°0 Karka, which falls in the Cancer rashi. Having vimshottari lord as Mercury means not only have I covered writing on all three mercurial lunar mansions but with this particular being the first Gandant nakṣatra as well. We have Jupiter also exalted and finding suitable strength with the first and last padas too.
Mentally charged yet emotionally driven, a prominent placement will bring forth due intensity. Providing a sharp memory helps in giving it a reputation of being intuitive.
Accusations also don't fall short of them being manipulative and cunning. Succumbing to sensual desires is also not false as their emotions overpower their intellectual reasoning and objectivity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aśleṣa concludes the first third nakṣatra that are primarily rajasic. As in by nature, to be energetic or an initiator. Also, by both secondary and tertiary levels, it's sattvic, leading to abundance of knowledge and wisdom.
An interesting trait of Aśleṣa folks is that they can be growth-challenging parents themselves. Seeking tight control over their children, they make the mistake of micromanaging their children at home while binding them close via manipulative tactics. Once the offspring grows up and out of local range, however, Aśleṣa may seem to suddenly lose interest in the responsibility of parenting.
If grandchildren come to live in the Aśleṣa's home, another repeated cycle of securely tight management can revive. Grandchildren, like their parents before them, may feel both profoundly manipulated and securely protected.
Tumblr media
As mentioned above, the symbol for this penetrating asterism is the coiled serpent at the base of the spine, which reflects the potent kundalini energy that resides here. The knowledge of this highly powerful energy was known to the ancient seers and sorcerers.
Denoting to the challenges of their addictions to sensory attachments, another meaning for this naks. is 'The Entwined One'.
Let me get bold and address the need for intimacy as a primal force in them. You won't be surprised to know this carnal urge for an embrace is an experience the ecstatic couple savours thoroughly; as the enthralling passion for deep intercourse is vitalizing, coiled snakes in abhyānṛtya. If well aspected, a strong and healthy sex life is hinted at with magnetic charisma, and an interest for mysticism or occult.
Tumblr media
To talk about the main deities: they are the Nāgas, the Serpent Kings. They are revered as spiritual teachers, explaining how Aśleṣa, with the skill of persistance and emotional intelligence, can also be adept spiritual healers themselves. The venom renowned to the Devanāgarī was extremely lethal and destructive power they yielded was equally feared yet they were worshipped nonetheless, as they equally represented fertility and offered protection to their worshippers.
They're bestowed with Viṣ Aśleṣana shakti, the "power to inject poison to eliminate the enemy". Natives do have the typical rakshasa temperament but with a primary motivation of dharma.
So despite the startled fear of this lunar mansion, the intense power they accumulate can be harnessed into a more compassionate approach to helping others. When the desire to overcome the enemies and harsh setbacks becomes prevelant, the job to protect and heal should be fiercely upheld.
As with the dual-ended tongue of any snake, the bipolarity that comes with this asterism is understood. Vedic texts acknowledge the capability of channeling both negative and positve attritubes, and due to this contradictory disposition, this lunar mansion is sometimes difficult to predict onto.

The Buddha had this nakshatra rising under a benefic full Moon during his blessed birth. The King Cobra protected the Buddha from the storms of life as he performed his tapas (spiritual austerities) under the bodhi tree.
The serpent has enjoyed a special status since time immemorial. From the Pantheon to the Abrahamic scriptures, from Mesopotamia to Aztec, you'll find the slithering creature to be either adulated or despised. A poisonous reptile capable of ending the life of a person by its fatal bite is not the only primary feature of its symbology; it's generally considered the embodiment of wisdom arising from spiritual enlightenment.
