Tragedy

Time is 10:33 PM January 14th

Jasper Ward

Heading into the Jasper ward showed me how lucky Obsidia got it. Plants and vines were everywhere, the entire district was in ruins. The police force now only consists of a handful of men, and five of them are MIA. They have asked for my assistance, and I would be happy to assist them.

It didn’t take long to find where Meteor was located. This time in an overgrown forest, likely what would have happened to Obsidia park had we not arrived so swiftly. Upon arriving at the PULSE machine, there was a different admin than before. This one’s name was Taka. 

Taka seemed very different from ZEL. He was much more collected, barely even malicious, as if he was doing this against his will. If I’m ever looking for a weak link in Meteor, he might be my opportunity. He fought me with his Cradily, Chatot, and the Tangrowth of this district. I was able to find a few of the police officers once the vines had receded.

Heading into the Beryl ward was a similar situation, though I could see an unaffected region of the city beyond a wall of vines. Unfortunately, I fell into a trap set by a tribe of Nuzleaf. Fern came by and offered to release me in exchange for me begging for his assistance. I refused and waited for perhaps ten minutes when something very strange happened. A pokemon came and flipped the lever required to open my cell. It was a Chatot. I am certain that there have been no other Chatots in this forest, so I can only wonder...

Beryl Ward

After traversing the forest, and saving the lost police officers, they rewarded me with the Growlithe of a fallen officer. I felt rather odd taking it, as one other officer’s Growlithe had been stolen from him. I took her to the day-care and got an egg, which I then gave to him as a gift.One of the other officers saw my act of kindness and gave me an egg in return which they had found abandoned.

Confronting Team Meteor at the third PULSE machine was a difficult encounter. ZEL, Taka, and another masked man who appeared to be their leader were all present. A young girl named Heather appeared and challenged their leader while I was left to battle ZEL and Taka on my own. It was a difficult battle, but my pokemon are quite the team. 

We chased them back, but the police were able to catch the leader, unmasking him and revealing him to be Corey, the ward’s gym leader and Heather’s father. Heather ran away, distraught, and Corey fled on his crobat, police in tow. I chose to visit the ward’s graveyard and pay my respects before challenging the gym. On the mountain path I spotted a Bunnelby, so I caught one and evolved it before challenging the poison gym. 

Corey had released some kind of toxin into the gym, brainwashing the police officers who had chased him. He also made the toughest leader I’ve fought yet, and once I had defeated him, asked me to follow him to the Beryl Bridge so that he could explain what he had done.

When I reached the Beryl Bridge, he had all of his pokemon out. He was shooing them away. Once he had gotten them to all leave, he threw his pokeballs into the desert. He explained how his wife had been killed shortly after childbirth for a particular artifact. A Ruby Ring that was now in the possession of Heather. He got up on the ledge, and though I knew what was coming I could do nothing to stop it. I was frozen in place, only a spectator to these events. He asked me to watch over Heather. And then he jumped.

I don’t know why he asked me, some random challenger who had just defeated him in a league battle, and unmasked his identity in Team Meteor in front of his daughter, to watch over his last remaining family. But I swore that I would do just that. Meteor wants that ring, and I will do anything in my power to prevent them from getting it.

Unfortunately, Fern decided to spoil the moment. Showing no remorse or tact of any kind, he spoke ill of Corey, not allowing the dead to rest. Unfortunately, he did bring up the good point of never receiving the badge from him. That was the least of my concerns, however. I didn’t have the time to mourn, I have a job to do.

I hate Fern

Time is 10:30 AM January 14th

Gym Preparation

Knowing that Florinia was a Grass Leader, I decided to look around for some new pokemon that would give me an advantage in the upcoming battles. However, the search was not very fruitful. I did however find a Litleo rummaging through the trash in an alleyway. It ran away from me, but I felt compelled to follow it.....It was just so cute.

I followed it to an underground passageway, where it was cowering in fear from me, but a Klinklang dropped down from the ceiling and attacked it. I leapt in between the two and defeated the Klinklang. It was difficult, but I managed to do it. I pet the Litleo goodbye, as it was now safe, and I was content with that, but she nuzzled up against my leg, and seemed to insist on coming along. 

While in the past I ridiculed trainers who nicknamed their pokemon for foolish sentimentality, I felt the compulsion to nickname the little one “Courage”

Onyx Trainer School

I now headed for the Onyx Trainer School, lead by headmaster and gym leader Florinia, but when I tried to go in, Fern ordered the students to shut the gates and keep me out, forcing me to battle the entire school before I could defeat him, and then battle his sister. Once again, he went down with ease, but resolved himself to be better than me and begin his own Gym Leader Challenge. Not that I care, another rival to keep me fresh is fine.

Florinia on the other hand was a bit of a challenge. Her team was focused around sandstorms, and all had ways to deal with her weaknesses. Courage and Blitzle did some great work along with my newly evolved Meowstic, so now I have been given access to the Jasper and Beryl wards to see what’s been going on over there.

P.S. I received a coin case for the local casino while in the school....I am ashamed to admit that I spent a lot of time there. Days in fact. I got a few pokemon, and some great TM’s, but I do not know if it was worth it. I will continue on now.

Rematches Galore

Time is 5:05 January 9th

New Wards to Explore

Fresh off my win on Julia, I left for the Obsidia ward, where Team Meteor reportedly has caused chaos and destruction. I found myself a Numel in the rain, and a Hiker gave me his onix in exchange for finding him a place to live. I won’t be using them, but nice to have anyways.

Florinia was just outside Obsidia, and told the police to let me through to assist her and another gym leader with the plants that are ravaging the ward. The ward was in absolute shambles. Destruction everywhere, with fissures in the ground and plants sprouting from the ground blocking my path everywhere I looked.

My only way to the other side of town was through the slums, but Victoria insisted it was too dangerous for me to go. After defeating her I made my way through the slums, but my exit was blocked by a gang of Scraggy led by a Scrafty. Blitzle however came through clutch and I made my way through.

South of Obsidia is the Coral ward, which appears to have been a pier before this disgusting pollution. Here I met Amaria, who was attempting to rescue a stranded Oshawott on a small island. Luckily Cain came to the rescue and had his Grimer swim through the polluted water to give the Oshawott a lift to shore. (Note: He sang while doing this. He is a good guy, but really obnoxious.)

Amaria and I headed to Obsidia Park where Team Meteor had set up camp. Florinia gave me the TMX Cut, and we entered the park, but There was a Tangrowth hooked up to some kind of machine with only one Meteor Exec with it. This meteor exec appears to have multiple personalities, Zero, Eve, and Lumi, taking on the name ZEL.

They called the machine a PULSE machine, which greatly amplified the Tangrowth to destroy the city. The implications of this machinery are horrifying. Does it only work with Tangrowth? Can any pokemon be hooked up? More study is necessary. Regardless, the Tangrowth’s powers in battle were greatly enhanced as well. ZEL had no other pokemon, so it was not a difficult battle. It was not unlike a mega-evolution. The pokemon was enhanced with new abilities and typing, but it still faced similar weaknesses.

ZEL was quick to pack up their stuff and vanish while I saved Amaria and Florinia from stray vines. Florinia headed back to her gym, and Amaria left as well. My next destination is the Onyx ward to the north, where Florinia’s school and gym are located.

Firsts for everyone

Time is 3:13 PM January 9th

First encounter with team Meteor

Last night, before I could challenge Julia she burst out of her gym, inviting me to join her on her strike against Team Meteor. I was eager to finally meet up with them. We were assaulting a warehouse after interrogations had pinpointed it as a center for Meteor activity, seeing as they were the ones who blew up my train.

I rendez-vouzed with them after chasing yet another of these elusive shiny pokemon throughout the Peridot ward, this time it was a Teddiursa. It was myself, Julia, another gym leader Florinia, and that obnoxious brat Fern.

Julia and Florinia certainly seemed to be old friends, I believe they mentioned they were part of a sorority. Julia could definitely be in a sorority with her boisterous attitude, but Florinia is emotionles and calculated, definitely not the sorority type.

Regardless, we split up into teams of two. Fern and I were one team, and the gym leaders were the other. After defeating some meteor grunts, we ran into what appeared to be an admin. He stated that the job was complete, and fled. Julia then utilized her affinity for explosives to destroy the base. Lovely. Florinia left, but Julia mentioned something happening with Titania that caused her to abandon emotions. Interesting.

I decided to spend the night at the pokemon center before continuing tomorrow, seeing as it was quite late already. The next morning it was thunderstorming, but I found yet another shiny in the rain, a blitzle with vibrant blue stripes. I then entered the gym.

First gym

There is a computer which can connect me with Ame to gain intel on the gym and it’s unique properties, definitely a step above technology wise. It seems each gym leader has 6 pokemon, and a special arena designed to enhance their team. Julia’s field enhanced explosive moves. The gym’s puzzle involved leading voltorbs to blow open a pathway, terribly simple and almost barbaric. Julia herself was also quite easy. Badge number one has been attained, now just 17 more to go.

Arrival

Time is 7:00 PM. January 8th

Beginning with a bang.

Train exploded as we pulled into the station. Seems to be the work of terrorists. One lady gave me a potion to help my wounds, despite them not working on humans. Still a kind gesture. Ame, administrator for the region, and Julia, the first gym leader, guided me to the grand hall, where I was to choose my first pokemon. There was a wide range, and I chose to begin with the Grass pokemon Snivy.

Team-building

In the grass near the Grand hall there was a Meowth. I decided to catch it in hopes of earning some extra money while here. I then encountered some street thugs who were throwing a Pachirisu off a bridge. After rescuing said Pachirisu, I discovered it had the pickup ability. While I am not terribly fond of the pokemon, its ability may come in handy, and it certainly deserves a better fate than death, so I shall keep it along.

A homeless man was begging for money, which I would normally ignore, but I spied an alleyway behind him. After taking some money, he moved aside and I ran into my first of these unique shiny pokemon, an Espurr. However it seemed to be drugged, or in some kind of haze. I returned later with some Pokesnax, and that seemed to wake it up.

Rivals

So far I have come across three individuals who are at a similar skill level to me, and I imagine I will be running into a lot over my journey.

The first is Victoria, she made mention to Kiki, who as I recall is a fighting gym leader.She chose to start her journey with a Tepig, so her team may revolve around fighting types. I should keep that in mind. She seems to be kind, and driven towards a goal.

Secondly is Cain. I also met him in the Grand Hall and he is.....interesting. Cain is definitely the flambuoyant type, and owns a Nidoran of the male variant. Worth noting that he seems to have had to abandon his pokemon for personal circumstances. Definitely a compassionate fellow, with emphasis on the passion.

Finally is the most recent. Fern is a one of a kind individual, strong and motivated, but definitely power-driven. As his name might hint, his team is filled with Grass pokemon. He also has a Snivy. But mine is better.

Three P’s

Time is 2:45 PM. January 8th.

Pre-script

Jack Randolph here. I will be traveling to the Reborn region to take part in their experimental new Pokemon League. It is rumored to be far more challenging and competitive than the other leagues that exist.

Purpose

I am investigating some strange disturbances in the region. A team known as “Team Meteor” has been sighted in the region. I wish to gather intel to put them down the way of Rocket, Plasma, and Galaxy did. There are also reports of increased “shiny” pokemon, and unique patterns only found in this region. I will be sure to investigate this as well.

Preparation

I have died my hair and changed my style to ensure that I do not get inadvertently discovered. I do not mind using my real name, as it will mitigate suspicion and is common enough to not draw attention.

I now board the train to the region. I would wish for your luck, but since these journals will not be published until I have returned from my investigations, it would obviously be pointless.

Weeeeeeeeeeeird

Okay guyz IIIIIIIII’m back <3

Some pretty funnky stuffz be happenin here u feelin me?

I went to go challenge the gym buuuuuuuuuuuuut she said we had to go on a raid of the facility where the guyz who totez blew up the train I was on were liek doin stuff i guess....who knows XD Juuuuuuulias hard to understand sometimez.

But Fern and his sista who iz liek totez robotic were there with Julia like WTF I don’t wanna work with him PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. buuuuuuuut they made us team up :((((((((((((((( and we totez kicked the crap outta everyone there. and OMFG evolved into a marshtomp, he’s gonna kick even more 455 now <3333

Then Julia blew up the whole factory! What a cr4zy gal LMAO. So I went to her gym to challenge her.

NO WAIT I NEARLY FORGOT LMAO. There was this suuuuuper cute Teddiursa, and I chaseded him all around the ward until I finally caught him with a pokeball <3 I call him sugar because he is goin down swingin (<3FOB<3)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaanyways. Totez beat Julia and her electric gym. EZPZ.

A little quickie update ;)

I am SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOS sorry my loveliez I have been  suuuuuuuper swamped around this city just trying to find my way around OTL. 

First of all, there are like a billionkajillionfdnsafmioolion trainers, but I beat them all!!!! I am teh best!!!!!!!! Kn33l before your pokemon overlord! One guy tried to sell me this pokem for 500 bucks but then it got stolen......sadface.......

BUT hero December to da rescue! I chased teh culprit down and beat him up to get my rightful pokem back buuuuuuuuuuuuut he got robbed of it......sadface..........

But then I walked in on a robbery in progress oh nooooooooooooez. But OMFG and memelord are like teh bestest team evar! So the lady gave me her igglybuff as thanks. <3 u babe <3

Then finally, there was this little bitch who thought he was teh best thing since the intarwebz and his name is Fern. He tried to beat me but my wubbs was toooooo much for his pathetic grass types, get oooooooowned n00b.

It has been liek teh craziest week but I finally got a chance to sit so I’m fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally getting to update all you lovely followers <3

I came downstairs and Vicvic was all like “Ooooooo, who’d you pick” but I wasn’t gonna tell LMAO. But then. The angelz sang in that like thing that’s in those like old movies when the hunk walks in and OMFG he is so hot. 

His name is Cain and I sw00ned harder than I have ever sw00ned before. I swear I prayed to Arceus when I first saw him LOL. He is also a pokemz trainer, and we had a cute little battle with my OMFG and his cutiepatootiesamootie nidoran <3 I was totez kicking his cute butt, but I used my potion just to make him feel not too immasculated (shhhhhh don’t tell XD)

Then Vicvic wanted to battle, but my mudkip DESTROYED her little tepig!!!! I left, and I was walking around and this homeless dude just totally started grabbing at me and my designer bag like WTF get OFF you perv!!!!!!! Buuuuuuuuut itz fine cuz I threw some money at him and ran past him into this house and found the cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutest little Espurr he is my babee he is my memelord.

But this town can be so cruel :( There were these bullies that were trying to throw this poor pachirisu off a bridge, but OMFG and memelord beat the hell out of them! Tey are da bestest pokemon a girl could ask for <3 The Pachi wanted to come wit me so I call him hella :^) 

Then I was walking and this Woobat sw00pded down and tried to catch me like WTF UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH but it’s okay because she is now my wubbs and she will BRING THE P41N MWAHAHAHA

O M G

Like, I was on this train, right? I was going to this like supa trendy reborn region to be like, a pokemon master or whatevz, and then like BOOM!!!!! The train just liek totez blew up! Crazy, right? I hadn’t even gotten my qt3.14 (that’s cutie pie for you n00bs <;-)) little mudkip yet....

I talked to this lady who had this like, really pretty blue hair, and she gave me a potion, like OMFG isn’t that sweet of her, I gave her some cute lipstick and a like, signed photograph with a link to my blog for her to check ooooout.

OOOOOHHHHH BUT THEN!?!This other hella cutie scene chick named Victoria was waiting for me outside of the station OMFG WHAT A SW33TH34RT. I’m gonna call her Vicvic. But I went up and you’ll never guess what. They had a mudkip!!!!!!!!!!! I was So. Effing. Excited. 

I named him OMFG because it is like, totez my favorite thing to say. I brought him out to say hello to my widdle baby and like he was totez a different color than I was expecting...Apparantly some pokemon have totally weird colorings here because of like the toxins and the radiation and stuff like ew... But he is my special little snowflake and I will love him because I love teh mudkipiz XD
