Swain Special Interactions Breakdown

As per usual, the Swain rework came with plenty of special interactions between Swain and the other champions in the game. However, unlike some other champions, Swain’s lines have a LOT of hints towards the state of Noxus, his backstory, and Runeterra itself.

I’ve gone through and pulled the most interesting tidbits from the S@20 video and listed them here. Let me know what y’all think!

- Kassadin's daughter is rumored to have returned from the Void - how and why that happened, we don’t quite know.

- Swain implies that Ashe’s bow didn’t originally belong to Avarosa. Either he knows the truth and Ashe lied, or he’s trying to foster discontent.

- Evidently, Aurelion Sol has siblings. Swain seems to hint that the reason Aurelion Sol wants to destroy Targon is because of it. Are there other celestial dragons out there, or is he implying that the Targonians are Aurelion Sol’s siblings?

- Caitlyn may be related to Camille. Alternatively, Camille may be the elusive “C” that Caitlyn’s been hunting.

- Cassiopeia may be working for the Black Rose. Would make sense, honestly.

- Swain had a run-in with a demon and bested it, which is where his power and his glowing arm came from. This is why he’s so confident when facing other demons.

- On a similar note, Nocturne is used in the demon-specific voicelines. This could imply that Nocturne is now a Runeterran demon, which means he’ll follow a similar pattern to Tahm Kench and Evelynn. What his requirements to feast on humans are, we don’t know yet.

- Swain implies Garen has magic - this could refer to his sunsteel armor and sword, or could reference his ultimate. Either way, it’s intriguing.

- Swain states that Jarvan IV's blood is useful - does this refer to his bloodline, or to the fact that he bears the blood of kings? Remember that Jarvan I’s blood was used to revive Sion.

- Jinx may have killed her original family, and no longer remembers this. It may also be why she went insane.

- Katarina was told by Marcus Du Couteau to kill Swain - interesting. Swain however denies that he killed Marcus.

- Swain wants to know about the Hammer of Orlon more than he cares about Poppy - why is that? The Hammer may be stronger than we initially assumed.

- Swain’s line for Hecarim implies the existence of TWO kings on the Shadow Isles. Unsure if both are supposed to be the Ruined King, if the second is Mordekaiser, or if there’s an as-of-yet unseen king running around.

- The Black Rose is against Swain, not with him anymore - he knows of them though, and appears to have a relatively interesting relationship with LeBlanc. Sorry, SwainBlanc shippers - they are most definitely NOT friends.

- Darius and Swain are no longer friends, as Swain straight-up tells Darius that his trust is misplaced. It sounds as though they’ve fought together though. Swain knows Draven as well.

- Swain doesn't straight-up hate Demacia - he’s more dismissive of it than anything.

- Irelia cut off Swain's arm, which means that Swain must have fought in Ionia and may have been present for the assault on the Placidium. We’ll have to wait on his lore/Irelia’s rework to know for sure.

- Singed is referred to as "another one of Darkwill's loose ends" by Swain - what does THAT mean, I wonder? Was Singed funded by Darkwill, or is Swain referring to Singed’s involvement in the Ionian war?
