//the TGC is for sure real--it's a League promo thing, occasionally in collaboration with various professors. The games may exist in a simplified, plot-lite form, as a way to help kids memorize type matchups.

//The anime's real, but in a modified state--most of the legendary pkmn and evil teams are taken out, the focus is strongly on teaching kids how to communicate with their Pokémon partners, and while the Rocket Trio are present, they're part of a made-up evil organization, because how freaking weird would it be to have a popular children's show where the villains are A Real Life Criminal Syndicate.

//whether eating pkmn is acceptable probably varies from species to species and culture to culture. meat substitutes are probably pretty common. i try not to think too hard about this one tbh. it gets kinda weird when these two's brother is the Talking To Pokémon guy.

//the music...probably exists, but isn't actually playing most places. maybe in gyms and stuff but not like. on routes or in cities. this is mostly because i have sensory issues and would lose it if every place had a theme song you had to listen to any time you went there
