Singleverse announcement!

Hey everyone! I’m not completely back from my break on Tumblr, I just want to drop this little something special for you all! My break has really given me a lot of time to think about some ideas I’ve had. After seeing so many other people doing it, I want to try my hand at a singleverse!

I pitched this idea before, & I decided I would give myself sometime to think about the guidelines & what not for it. I think I finally worked out all the little details & whatnot & I’ll put them here for you all to look at. Some of you I’ve talked about this with before, & some of you I haven’t. If you haven’t heard from me about this & it catches your interest & you want to be apart of it, I will leave a link to a submission form at the bottom you can fill out so I know that you want in & I have the details that I need! I would like even those I spoke to before about this to fill it out as well, just so things are easier for me!

Lore

The world was called Editinea, & it was plentiful of life & love. It was populated by many countries, which were ruled by Kings & Queens, Emperors & Empresses, Tsars & Tsarinas, each with fascinating cultures.

However, peace does not last forever, even on Editinea. A long & dreadful war broke out all over the world, kingdoms & empires fighting for land, for profit, for dominance. This war raged for hundreds, if not thousands of years, many kingdoms were sniffed out, many new ones arose, many people died. This war went on for so long, the original reason for the war, & just when it started, was forgotten. All the people of Editinea knew was death & destruction.

However, wishing an end to the ceaseless conflict, many kingdoms came together to form an alliance. This alliance was forged by all the kingdoms in the world at the time that were named after flowers. This alliance became known as the Flower Pact. This alliance brought all the kingdoms of flowers under one banner, vowing to be with each other like brothers & sisters in the face of conflict. All their armies & navies were brought together, to either force them into surrender or destroy them completely. Under pressure from the now massive combined militaries, the other kingdoms forced to surrender to save themselves from their name being wiped off the map. And thus, by the Flower Pact, did the long ‘Age of War’ come to an end.

It is one hundred years later from that day, & a new generation is being sired in. The Flower Pact reminds intact, keeping the many kingdoms of flowers together & keeping the countries outside of the pact also in peace; for the idea starting a war, then having multiple kingdoms teaming up against you to take you down, keeps any evil minded rulers from pulling anything considered dangerous on their neighbors. However, some do worry for the longevity of the alliance, as many wonder if the next generation of rulers can keep up the Flower Pact, & as thus, keep another war from beginning. Little do those people know, that there are those at work, plotting to take the Flower Pact down, & start another long age of war.

Flower Pact

To be in this alliance, your Kingdom/Empire must be named after a Flower(does not have to be exactly a flower’s name, but can be inspired by one). While you do not need to have your country named after a flower to be in the verse, if your kingdom’s name is anything else, it will be considered an ‘Outsider Country’ to the alliance.

The guidelines of the pact are as follows.

The alliance between the kingdom of flowers, is like a brother/sisterhood, where the kingdoms will always be close allies to one another, care for each other & open to each other. In times of war, the kingdoms of flowers will not attack each other, but work together with each other against their enemies. They will share open trade always. They will support each other when natural disasters strike. They will work to uncover the truth in times of uncertainty. They will stop corruption in times of political strife.

Each nation must always be allies with the others within this alliance. To break any of these vows, will be considered an act of warfare, & as such, the nation will be removed from the pact & treated as a top priory enemy.

Outsider Countries

For countries who are not apart of the Flower Pact, they are referred to as ‘Outsider Countries’. To be an Outsider Country, is to be considered at a disadvantage in the world. While that is to not say that those kingdoms can’t prosper in their own way, but to not be apart of the pact is considered to be lesser then by the status quo. Most Outsider Countries are considered about the safety of their nation if another war was to break out, that without the Flower Pact’s protection, they could targeted by the kingdoms of flowers & overtaken by them & their seer overwhelming numbers & skills.

The ideal remedy for this is to try & arrange marriages with their royal children to another royal family member from one of the kingdoms within the alliance, as the marriage would likely make them see their Outsider Country as a sort of ‘distant-cousin’ of their Pact. And thus would give them support in case of war did ever return to Editinea.

Interactions & Tagging

Of course, for this singleverse, you do not have to solely interact with just me. You all are welcome to interact with one another, more so if I’m not here for one reason or another. Just if you do so, please tag those interactions with The World Where Flowers Reign in it in some way. I will be tagging mine as 『Singlev!The World Where Flowers Reign』 yours doesn’t have to be exactly like this, but this is just to give you an idea of what it should look like. This is to make sure I can keep take of what you guys are up to, even when I’m not on this blog or on Tumblr at all. Your characters are also welcome to make comments or react to other things happening across the verse, I’ll always encourage dash coms & drabbles.

Map

As you all saw on the lore section, I made a custom map for the new world that is Editinea, for those of you who show interest & fill out the submission form, I will reach out to you & ask you to pick a section off the map you’d like to be your kingdom, this is so everyone has an idea of who their neighbors are IC. Once I have everybody owning a piece of the map, I will redo it to make it nice & neat & publish it for you all to see! I will also put it on the info page I plan to make for this verse, which will include some slight info on your kingdoms, which is why I encourage everyone to fill out the form!

Events

There will sometimes be specials events, stuff like mass banquets or balls where royals & nobles around Editinea are welcomed. This is not to say you can not host your own balls or parties, but those would likely be for invite only guests, rather just opening the doors to everyone across the world. For those, you will be informed before time, so you can make it known if you will be available at the time or not. You will not be rushed to finish any event, your welcome to take the time you need for any thread.

In case you can’t tell, in Camellia, nobles that are also(or are going to become) knights in their military is a repeating theme.

Which is completely on propose. As despite not being in war anymore, the strength of the country is very important.

Basic idea for the New Country:

A small island, located beside Jailiam, it is called Chrysan; short for Chrysanthemum. It’s current King & Queen, Preston Alnwick Sanders zos Hathawaye & Bianca Allencourt Jullet zos Hathawaye, are merely Regents; acting as stand-ins until the current Crown Princess is old enough to rule. Because of it’s small size, as well as it’s location, being tucked away in the corner of the globe, most of it’s political strife has flown under the the bridge of the Immortal Realm’s attention.

Years ago, the original King & Queen were blessed with a child, the Crown Princess, however, these blessing came at the cost of the Queen’s life, as she died during childbirth. 2 years later, the King would also pass away, some say to illness, some say of a broken heart, other say due to poison, the cause remains unclear. The Crown Princess was obviously too young to rule at the time, so her aunt & uncle, Preston & Bianca, decided to become the King & Queen Regent until the time came when the Crown Princess would be old enough to rule.

The Crown Princess is of age now, however the King & Queen Regent have yet to crown their niece, sighting reason after reason why she is still unfit; doing what they can to hold onto power. They’re current excuse is that she is unmarried, & the Crown Princess is hesitant to marry just anyone, but still wishes to ascended to the seat of power meant for her.
