she's whinier than he thought she'd be. all the pomp and celebration over alice falling into wonderland, and this is the savior they all held on a pedestal, gnawing at each other like rabid dogs over? if he could scowl any more unpleasantly, he would, but the daggers he glares into the back of her head as he trails close behind her would be enough to kill, were the magic to do so possible. no matter if she tries to run or not, he'll catch her. he hates outsiders.

HE CATCHES HER WRIST BEFORE SHE CAN ACTUALLY PULL AWAY FROM  him, yanking her back towards him whether she particularly is keen on his company or not. Aside from a touch of irritation, his expression doesn’t give way how annoyed he is, tongue clicking as he takes her along with him. He’s pulling her through the trees, no less the way one would drag a screaming toddler.

“I wasn’t asking permission,”  he comments, before he plants his feet on the marsh floors and jerks her forward roughly enough to push her in front of him. Only then does he let her go, allowing her to stumble ahead on her own.  “You’re coming with me whether you agree or not. I would much rather that you do it of your own free will, however. I’m not a fucking babysitter.”  His hand moves to pinch the bridge of his nose. He’s so bloody exhausted.  “You’re a hard one to track down. You’d think with all of Wonderland on your ass, it would’ve been easier to locate you.”
