dawn was exhausted. the filming for this music video had been running for hours straight, only a few breaks at a time. collaborating with hyun, a member of a group he'd looked up to for so long was a dream come true, really. but he had been working nonstop since being home from tour one one thing or another and while he usually thrived being busy, it was beginning to take a toll on him.

the upbeat hip hop song blasted through the speakers, beginning to cause a splitting pain in his head. laughing, dancing, jumping, singing along with the catchy chorus, or t least trying. trying to act like he's the life of the party, his music keeping everyone on their feet. suddenly it all ceased, the fictional party, all neon and bouncing dance, lulling as the director's voice rings out. "you're at a party, guys! look alive!" he called into the microphone. dawn sighed, glancing over at his partner. it was becoming harder and harder to jump and rap and act like you're having the time of your life when you've had to do it for 5 hours now.

mei couldn’t even remember how this prank war started — certain things often slipped her mind anyway, information that didn’t refer to choreography or her family seemed to stray from her. she swore she bumped her head as a child but her mom denied it every time, maybe to spare her feelings but she couldn’t help but be suspicious.

but what she did recall was that each prank that was returned to her was pretty irksome even though she didn’t put an end to it. instead, retaliating just as annoying as it came because even if it got under her skin. . it was fun. she wouldn’t say that to yehyun though. but this time, the fake spider in her dance bag had her recoiling back with a yelp, how did that manage to get her each time? and when did he even put that in there without her seeing?

and maybe her revenge was on the childish side but her goal was to get back at him, no matter how she did it. sticking on cute kitty stickers on his back was no easy task but she managed to place one each time they passed by, masking it with her usual clinginess. "yeye, having a good day?" she beamed as bounced up to him with arms open for a hug as soon as she saw him in the hotel hallway, sticker ready in her hoodie pocket.

Comeback preparations were always too long and exhausting, and if the tour was added to the equation, Nari felt like she hadn't really rested in weeks. Whilst she had managed to see some places in Mexico City, Bogota had been truly spent in practice rooms and trying out outfits just to make sure everything was ready for their new mini album. It was exciting, actually. She really liked the title song and the b-sides, and was very happy about having worked on the lyrics for one of them. She didn't consider herself a lyricist, it wasn't something she had actually done much before, but she now understood why it could be good for the soul, to find a way to express herself when talking about it seemed impossible.

One of the many advantages of having her own room was that she could buy as many snacks as she wanted and she wouldn't have to invade anyone's space, using the minibar to keep her drinks and ice creams cold. After paying, with two bags full of all kinds of snacks and drinks, Nari finally walked into the night. This store was very close to the hotel, so she didn't even feel like telling anyone that she was going out. It had been just a few minutes, nothing too long anyway.

Humming softly under her breath, one of those rare moments when she felt completely relaxed and at peace. It had been a while since she had felt like this, but lately, things had been slowly going back to normal. And when she thought her night wouldn't get any better, her heart skipped a beat at the sight of that person who occupied a big part of her thoughts lately.

Biting her lip nervously behind her mask, Nari moved the bag in her right hand to the left so she could wave at him. "Hey, Yehyun." Nari hoped she didn't sound as happy as she felt, not wanting the other to feel like she was being pushy in any way.

this was something. . incredibly new for misa. not the date part obviously but more on the ‘blind’ aspect of it. she liked to know just what she was getting into but this time, she’d been completely thrown in unbeknownst to who it was except the hint — a member of indigo which, wasn’t exactly helpful. but if a mutual friend had set this up for her and encouraged it as much as they did, she’d have to trust them. still, however, she couldn’t shake her nagging feeling of wariness, it almost — almost overtook the awkward nervousness she was currently trying, and failing to hide away.

she took a deep breath as she entered the nice looking restaurant in the heart of london, a shaky smile on her lips as she relayed the name she was given for the reservation before being shown to the table. the nerves only heightened as she noticed someone sitting at the table already, the main vocalist she finally pieced together in her mind, he was cute — oh god, was she late? misa had tried not to be so picky with her outfit but she didn’t think it took that long to get out the door. “hello. . hyun, right?” using his stage name as that was what she was more familiar with, the soloist gave him an awkward bow of her head as she moved to take the chair across from him. “hopefully you weren’t waiting long.” ➳ @myhyun

     mexico city had already been a whirlwind. within a couple of days, jinnie had gotten lost, fallen asleep during soundcheck, and misplaced one of her favorite jackets. this stop was utter chaos, to say the least. and now that she had the morning off, the maknae truthfully wanted to grab some sleep before tonight’s concert. however, that wasn’t in the cards for her today. any time now, there would be a knock on the door, notifying her of an anticipated arrival — yehyun. the vocalist had actually been the one to text her about planning a little celebration for minseok’s comeback, and she thought it was a wonderful idea. she’d witnessed how diligently her boyfriend had worked on this particular album; it only seemed right that he got to commemorate his efforts.

     knock, knock. the sound broke through her reverie. gently lifting lulu off her lap, jinnie set the cat on the bed and crossed the room to open there. the indigo member waited on the other side and she greeted him with a smile. “ hey, good morning. come in ! ” the brunette left the door open to grant him access, stepping back into the hotel suite. everything within the room was still quite neat, considering she and eunji liked to keep things tidy. walking to the desk to collect her phone, jinnie pulled up her notes app before glancing back up at the other. “ good news, i found a couple of yummy restaurants nearby that take reservations. nothing too fancy, though. ” she knew minseok. he would care way more about a delicious meal over its price, that was for sure.

It had taken her months and lots of traveling, but it had definitely been one of the positive sides of this tour. Nari had been trying to complete her Lego Architecture collection, and whilst it was nowhere near, she had managed to get plenty of sets that had been impossible to find in South Korea. If there was one that had been a pain to find, that was the Space Needle set, and what better place to find it than Seattle itself? So she made sure there was no schedule that day so she could take her time.

Because Nari was always lost in her own world and never actually paid much attention to anything else, checking the weather for the day had been the least of her worries. When it started raining as she didn't have a jacket, the dancer had no choice but to deal with how cold it was. Thankfully, the Uber stopped right outside the mall and she rushed inside, avoiding the rain as well as she could, but still slipping and almost failing a couple of times.

It was a real miracle when she managed to make it to the Lego store in one piece, and it was even better that there weren't too many people around. That gave her the chance to relax and look around without having to worry about being recognized. Just like she had done in Chicago when she had visited Legoland almost every day on her own, she hadn't told anyone that she was coming here.

Tunnel vision led her over to the shelf where many Architecture sets were, many she already had, but then there it was - the Space Needle set. It didn't matter if the sky was falling outside, if it was cold, or if she would be late for dinner back at the hotel. Nothing mattered because what she had been looking for was right there, and she was so happy she could dance right there. And she would, actually, if she weren't so shy and didn't like the attention on herself.

With a smile adorning her features, Nari reached out for the box and didn't even notice the person next to her until their hands touched as they both grabbed the box. She shivered. Had they suddenly turned on the air conditioner? A pout replaced her smile just as fast, looking up at the taller person, surprised at who she found right there. Nari would say she was a rational person, she mostly minded her business because it was easier. Oh, but this time? "That's mine," she said, a bit louder than her usual tone, but it still lacked force and it wavered a bit because, as mad as she was, she also wasn't? It was a confusing moment, but Nari was kind of a riddle herself. "You don't get rights just for being taller."

If there was something she was grateful for, it was that they were only three members so the possibility of each getting a tent was always high, and the staff usually made it happen for them. As soon as she had made sure there was nobody around, she had texted Yehyun to let him know they could spend some time together if he could. He had many members around, after all. The three of Flora usually minded their own business unless asked otherwise, but she really didn't know he dynamic her boyfriend had with his members. Nari was hoping they could get at least a couple of hours before they had to go back to pretended they barely talked to one another.

Dating in secret wasn't as exciting as fiction always said it was - Nari missed him all the time and hated that they couldn't just be free to do this like others, but she also knew that the Flora staff would be a pain about it, and certainly it didn't seem like Indigo's staff would be any better. Sighing, the singer looked around making sure the tent was as nice as possible, not that much could be done.

As lost in thought as she was, she hadn't realized Yehyun was there until the door was unzipped and the other entered the tent. "Hi!" She blushed as she sat up, still a bit shy about how to act around him. "Come here, I got some snacks." She reached out for his hand to invited him into the sleeping bag she had ready with some pillows. "Did anyone see you coming in here?"

Things had been weird, somehow. Nari couldn't tell what it was exactly, but she didn't have a good feeling about it. The whole thing was making her anxious - the ignored texts, them barely talking or seeing each other. She knew things would be different after tour, especially for them that were still getting used to being together, but she had imagined that they would at least try. And really, she felt like Yehyun wasn't really trying. Of course, they were incredibly busy and it wasn't the same as being in the same hotel. Maybe she was having too many expectations, and reality didn't work like that, but she had hoped.

It would have been easier to meet at his place, she supposed. But Nari didn't want to bother him in his personal space, especially since he seemed so quiet lately. So she had invited him over to her own apartment, even if she was barely there other than whenever she needed time away from the dorms to work on her Legos. Only that this time it was too quiet in the living room, no music and no TV on. She was just on the couch scrolling down her phone, checking the hour occasionally, wondering if her boyfriend would ever make it.

At the sound of the doorbell ringing, she got up and went to open with a smile. She had considered sharing the code with him, but things had been so awkward that she didn't know if she should. "Hey, Hyun. Come in," she invited as she stepped aside and grabbed a pair of slippers for him. "I'm so glad you came. Are you hungry? Should we order something for dinner? I thought about cooking something, but I don't have much here."

somi decided camping was definitely not her thing, because if one more mosquito decided she looked tasty, she was going to scream and ruin everybody’s trip while she was at it. but alas, she kept it in. as usual, but she wasn’t going to be happy about it. did this bug spray even work? the soloist knew she can be pretty high maintenance, her parent’s idea of a summer vacation during her childhood were business trips hidden behind that exact word ‘vacation’ just because they were held in popular and luxurious cities. camping wasn’t even in their vocabulary. but she did quite like some aspects of it — fresh air, gorgeous view of the lake and forest around them, the stars were clear in the night and. . truthfully s’mores were beginning to be one of her favorite desserts. somi was roasting her second one when she practically felt another presence nearby, looking up from her place on the camp chair. yehyun — even just the quickest glimpse of the main vocalist when passing by brought up the painful memories of their blind date. things between them weren’t settled after that, and she wasn’t even sure how to approach him. she glanced at her marshmallow then looked back up at him. “do you. . want one?” she asked, and oh, she can feel that tension once again. . familiarity in the air despite it all.

with talks of her releasing a solo project and Flora's upcoming comeback, it seemed like Nari couldn't keep hiding in the safety of the dorms and had to face the world. The singer usually avoided going to the Infinite building if she could help it, not wanting to run into Yehyun in case he was around. It was childish, perhaps, but it was the way she was dealing with everything that had happened. There wasn't much she could do at this point than moving on, and that would only come if she got distracted and stopped over thinking about things she couldn't change, or hadn't noticed before. It didn't matter, though. Nari had given her best, and if the energy hadn't been matched, then that wasn't even her fault.

But sometimes, no matter how much it was avoided, some things just found the way to her. Nari wouldn't say she was unlucky. In fact, she had always considered herself a lucky person, but the past few months hadn't been the best for her. It was quiet annoying, to be honest, that she had hoped for a good year and it had started that way, only to go downhill at some point. It wasn't really that fair.

So when she saw Yehyun walking down the same corridor, eyes meeting and nowhere to run, Nari knew that it wouldn't be a good day. But he was still her sunbae and fellow idol, she couldn't just ignore him. If anyone saw, she would be in trouble, maybe even accused of ignoring everyone. People could make a storm in a glass of water, after all. "Yehyun-ssi," she greeted.
