johnny has a universal translator which can interpret languages both aliens and terrestrial into english for him. which comes in handy for all of the adventures they go on, or what they encounter.

his suit, and a lot of his clothes are constructed of unstable molecules, which are attuned to his powers, allowing it to become burst into flame when he does. the suit is like a wearable computer that keeps track of everyone’s stats, touch-pad controls on he gauntlets, able to locate everyone on the team’s location, and several other neat features that reed has programmed into it.

johnny can stay aflame for 16.8 hours.

PYROGENESIS: the mental ability to control ambient heat energy, and the ability to physically transform his entire body, or just portions of it into a fiery, plasma-like state.  this doesn’t hurt him. normally when aflame it’s of low-intensity which is about 780 degrees fahrenheit. he’s capable of going higher if the situation calls for it.

johnny loves automobiles! he loves working on them, and from a young age he was fascinated so he learned how to be a mechanic. he can build any vehicle from scratch if he as the appropriate resources.

johnny followed his sister to join scientist reed richards and pilot ben grimm on a space flight when he was little. he was the youngest person to ever become an astronaut since he was literally a child. however, there was some cosmic radiation which was what transformed him into the human torch, and the four of them would end up forming the fantastic four !! his identity is public, but that has never bothered him.

johnny doesn’t quite know what to think about the change that happened. he’s used to the unexpected considering the nature of how his family got their abilities. they’re human mutates, so when you’re literal fire it doesn’t become weird anymore to see different creatures. johnny wouldn’t want to be judged for who he is, and therefore would never do that to someone else. it just isn’t right, so he’s frankly quite used to it. he’s actually used to defending his family against people that are quite rude — usually toward ben. his identity has always been public, the world always knew about the fantastic four and the accident. he’s from new york, so he’s glad some of places seem familiar, but doesn’t like the feeling of being lost with everything that is new. he used to know his home like the back of his hand, able to fly anywhere quickly. now he doesn’t really know where to go, so it takes a little longer getting around. johnny doesn’t like that, or the fact his favorite hair stylist is missing. he also misses his cars, but is using this as an opportunity to build new ones! he’s actually quite talented, and can even create flying vehicles from scratch too as well as the ones meant for the road.

surprisingly johnny was probably in bed when it happened. he’s really into making sure he gets his eight hours of sleep a night, having a whole beauty routine.  johnny tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, and rush into situations based on his impulsive decisions. this isn’t always the case, but since he’s the youngest member of the core team with the fantastic four he tends to use that as his excuse. he’s always his most focus when he’s putting something together — loving to work with his hands when it comes to mechanical engineering.

johnny tends to be a little too trusting, so that doesn’t really make him feeling suspicious just yet. he just wants the rest of his family here too — not wanting to be alone. he’s convinced reed would have some answers.

does your muse prefer the day, or are they more of a night-owl?

There’s aspects to both that Johnny tends to love. He does enjoy the party scene at night, but he probably leans more toward preferring the daytime. He likes being able to drive with the windows down — feeling the wind in his blonde hair or FLYING through the city early in the morning. The city has a certain beauty to it when the sun is out.

where are they currently staying? johnny is currently staying at the baxter building. is there anything unique/specific to their room? he feels lucky that his home is one of the buildings that showed up in this strange place. he naturally took residence in the same room since that’s where his belongings are — some of them at least. it reminds him of home even if he knows that this is only temporary until they get back to the city where the real baxter building is waiting for the fantastic four to come back to. so the more unique aspects of his room has to be the way it’s built special to tend to his needs. the walls of his room and the furniture are made to be fireproof. there was a worry that johnny would use his powers while he was sleeping when he was still a kid and having a nightmare. this way most of his necessities won’t burn. it’s important for him to have this room.
 are they living near or with anyone else? he’s not currently sharing a room with anyone. he does know that all of his favorite people are also staying in the building which makes him happy. he likes to keep his friends and family close. do they have any pets or animals currently living with them? no. have they done anything to make this feel homey? and if so, what? it feels the most at home that it could, but it’s not the same when he can’t open his curtains to see the rest of the city looking back at him. he misses having fresh pancakes waiting for him in the morning too while all four of them gather around to start the day together. he does have some of his belongings though which helps him through this tough time. having the familiar blankets and posters scattered on his walls eases his anxiety about being stuck in some prehistoric reality. plus it helps having reed so close. is there anything from the outside world they were able to find or bring with? all johnny had was the fantastic four uniform he was wearing at the time, and nothing else. what do they wish they could have with them for comfort? a thousand cans of hairspray for starters because johnny is a little diva when it comes to his appearance. he also misses his collection of cars. he misses driving them on the open road or even on the racetrack.

johnny has mainly been spending time with his family now that they’re all together again. he doesn’t like when they’re separated for too long. he also ventures off to work on putting together new vehicles just for the fun of it, and takes them for a spin around the city. johnny takes part in a few nascar races — but mostly keeps to doing fantastic four work or being home at the baxter building. he’s young, and can also be seen at the local bars on occasion as well.  he missed susan and ben when they disappeared so he did all he could to help reed.

SOME HISTORY — 

jonathan lowell spencer “johnny” storm was the second child born to franklin and mary storm. he has one sibling, an older sister named susan. their mother died in a car accident, and due to the loss their father who was a doctor couldn’t save her so he spiraled into gambling and booze.

franklin borrowed money from an underworld shark, and when he couldn’t repay them  susan and johnny were threatened so he got into a fight with the criminal. the man shot himself, but their father got charged with manslaughter and sent to a penitentiary for his crimes. he didn’t defend himself due to still mourning mary.

johnny loves automobiles! he loves working on them, and from a young age he was fascinated so he learned how to be a mechanic. he can build any vehicle from scratch if he as the appropriate resources.

saved two of his friends from a burning building when he was a teenager ???

johnny followed his sister to join scientist reed richards and pilot ben grimm on a space flight when he was just a kid. however, there was some cosmic radiation which was what transformed him into the human torch, and the four of them would end up forming the fantastic four !! His identity is public, but that has never bothered Johnny.

his older sister is his favorite person tbh

their headquarters is at the baxter building, which is where they call home, and it’s where johnny lives with everyone. he loves living there, and it’s where he feels the most comfortable.

in addition to being a mechanic, johnny is also a professional race car driver. he’s one of the youngest drivers in the sport.  he loves the attention that he gets between that and his superhero work. 

johnny is pansexual and proud of it

he’s also really confident it’s disgusting, but as a side note he really loves jokes and pranks as well !! ben is usually the target.

while being charismatic and confident he does have moments where he’s insecure and starts hating himself. no one sees the break downs aside from his family in those moments.

he’s done some modeling, and did acting in a few western films. it’s fair to assume he’s a celebrity. 

POWERS, SKILLS, & EQUIPMENT — 

johnny has a universal translator which can interpret languages both aliens and terrestrial into english for him. which comes in handy for all of the adventures they go on, or what they encounter.

his suit, and a lot of his clothes are constructed of unstable molecules, which are attuned to his powers, allowing it to become burst into flame when he does. the suit is like a wearable computer that keeps track of everyone’s stats, touch-pad controls on he gauntlets, able to locate everyone on the team’s location, and several other neat features that reed has programmed into it. 

johnny can stay aflame for 16.8 hours.

PYROGENESIS: the mental ability to control ambient heat energy, and the ability to physically transform his entire body, or just portions of it into a fiery, plasma-like state.  this doesn’t hurt him. normally when aflame it’s of low-intensity which is about 780 degrees fahrenheit. he’s capable of going higher if the situation calls for it.

PYROKINESIS: can generate shapes made out of fire, usually done with his hands to sculpt the flames. they only maintain the shape long as he is concentrating on them. example, he can form a lasso around his enemies.  

NOVA FLAME: the highest, hottest level johnny can create. he can release all of his body’s stored energy in one intense, omni-directional “nova-burst”, which can reach about 1,000,000 F.

FLIGHT: he can fly !! johnny can go 140 miles an hour.

I can definitely see Johnny being that spoiled prince. He would probably go by JONATHAN in the royalty au since it sounds more formal. He would probably goof off a lot still as usual around the palace. He would spend a lot of time with his niece and nephew watching them while Reed and Sue doing duties as king and queen in their nation. Johnny does his best to try and keep his promises. He knows how important they are especially in his line of work. He’s more inclined to keep a promise to those he knows personally or through his hero related work. When it comes to the socialite side of his lifestyle, he doesn’t always keep them — finding some of the people he meets at events can be boring. Ultimately he does his best to try and keep all of his promises.

Johnny was raised in a Catholic household, but he isn’t religious. He probably won’t be in the future either.
